David you don’t know how much that song meant to me today. I’ve been thinking about “Where’d You hide The Body” lately and lamenting that nobody does that anymore and you did this that sounds very much influenced by that great cd that you played on. I’ve been down with the Covid and spent the day setting up a DGT std that I bought that somebody screwed up. Turned out sounding and playing better than I expected. Brought back a lot of great tones I loved from my earlier days. The 90’s alt country hey day. Hope the neighbors liked it. Now I hear you play that new song that sounds like classic McMurtry and it’s a great day.

There are MANY amazing artists that show up to the sessions, But I have to say Mr. Grissom alone is MORE than worth the entry fee. Such a DEEP well of chops and technique and willing to share without reservation, AND we get to ask him questions. OR just sit back and and LISTEN to the amazing music......

David, I've always had an issue with humbuckers getting too muddy, when I play them with 'dirt'! Yours always have great definition, no matter how much grit! Is it possibly the amps I'm using? Most are 6L6 amps, plus I do have a PRS DGT.

I love listening to you free form because we make the same mistakes only because we say I'm going for it but if I don't hit the correct note I will go from there somewhere else only because we both will forget it the next day anyway in case it sucks but if it's good when we listen back we will spend hours trying to figure out how the Hell we played this at all??
Though entirely different guitar tones and playing in the end. Just realized the strong similarities between Jeff Beck's and David's playing, ie with his approach to soloing and that certain type of phrasing, hard to explain that last one. But those of your familiar with Jeff Beck, know exactly what I'm trying to explain. David Grissom has that same type of magic untouchable phrasing on the guitar. My 2 cents anyway.
