- Driving the Furka Pass in Switzerland. The video starts in Gletsch, just after leaving the Grimsel Pass, and finishes after leaving Realp. It makes a great ride with beautiful views, but is also a well-known mountain pass. So if you want to drive alone, you'll have to get up very early.
All Roadtrip Through The Lens recorded rides: www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?...

Man, that Tesla3 really moves, the footage is superb, job well done! My parents and I travelled this road in the early 70ties of the last century.
Excellent, the best drive along these beautiful mountains. Thank you
Beautiful. Thank you for this trip.
This brings back happy memories, riding my motorcycle through this pass

Just found your channel and am absolutely loving it! Would you mind adding in the description, the approximate date and time of the recording please? This one looks like a mid summer afternoon. Thanks a lot and keep up the great work!

An excellent video, as always from you, congratulations! Just a small remark: the beginning of it isn't in Obergoms, but in Gletsch, where the roads through the Grimsel Pass and the Furka Pass meet.
Updated the description, thanks for pointing that out!

Parmi les cols suisses les plus réputés ! Ici, on a par moments, l'impression que les lacets des routes à flanc de montagne se poursuivent dans le ciel avec les trainées des avions à réaction !
What a fine drive on a beautiful day. Thanks for sharing that. Helpful, too, as it shows the road is indeed quite negotiable even with larger vehicles sharing the space. Shadows suggest the time of day was approximately 13:00, give or take an hour. Can you recall and share more specifically at what time you started/made this drive? Thanks.
สวยมาก
6:11 nice red Porsche!
Is this the same car? This one looks Black, I thought yours was Silver?? :-) ps: How do you find such sunny days??? :-)))
The car has always been black
@@RoadtripThroughTheLens Ohhh Missed that...
I live in the NETHERlands and everything there is almost flat and most of it actually below sealevel. The Dutch has a certain arrogance, because they battled all that land from the sea. Driving roads like the Furkapass makes one realize how miniscule we really are. Here was a supreme creator at work and he had one of his better days.
Exactly what I've been thinking watching all these videos, amazing
Déjà fait avec le mont st gothard génial et l train à vapeur en bas du ol
What’s the month??
03:33 That car is pretty far over the line lol.
Is it real or animation
Is it ok to drive there in April ?
Don't think so, the internet says it's open between June - October
Thx !
No, absolutely
8:14 hotel
this is a tesla , speed up !
don't understand why so many of these roads don't have guard rails

Up to 30 years ago, close to the hotel belvedere (9.04) you were able to see the Rhone pouring out of the glacier that covered the rocky wall, as well as enter a cavern digged deep in the ice. Now it is no more possible because of the global warming. What a pity!
If you go back to 1850 the glacier came down a lot further or go to the 17th century and it's even further. It has been retreating since the last ice age 30000 years ago.
The ice tunnel into the glacier is still there, just further away from the road.
@@JimGDMAC even in summer?
@@orsobrianzolo As far as I can find out online the tunnel is recut every year once the pass is open. The tunnel stays open throughout the summer until the pass closes again later in the year. The glacier surface is covered with white cloth to try and reduce the melting. I should be riding the Furka pass this year and hope to visit the glacier.
