    Good information for sure, the interfaces can be confusing. Thanks Jason!

    So in order to reset the break pad system light I will need the greay and blue adapter? Is also needed for Race Mode? Thanks in advance

      Yes, you need the interface, both adapters and software. Ciao

    Great explanation video! Was on the website trying to figure out what I'd need and this helped a ton. I have a 2017 Giulia and my climate control system is very buggy. There will be a LONG like 30 second delay between adjusting the fan speed to when it actually happens, and sometimes it doesn't work at all. Would using alfa OBD be able to help me diagnose what could be going wrong? Not sure if my car just needs a software update or if it's a more serious electrical problem.

    Jason, with the SGW still in the place, will the official Alfa scan tool work ..so the dealer can scan for codes if need be?
    I am out of warranty and the service advisor I spoke with wasn’t real sure. Just curious as I’m getting some minor maintenance. Thanks

      They can still access the car with it in place. Do not worry about it but make sure they know about it so they don't lose it. No problem there.

    Thanks Jason!! Is there any reason to get multiecuscan over alfaobd, other than an easier to use/more modern interface? It was a couple years ago now, but you said in a forum post that mes was far better than alfaobd. I have a 21 Giulia Q4.

    • @alfissimointernational
      @alfissimointernational  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Alfaobd has a few more functions but no, they both do basically the same thing. Either one is great. MES is slightly better due to it looks easier to use while Alfaobd might be more old school looking and not as easy to use for some but I like the simplicity of it and a few more functions it has.

    For a Giulia/Stelvio Oil Change all you need is:
    -- SGW Bypass [$60]
    -- OBDLink LX [$90]
    -- Android/Windows Device with Multiecuscan app [$60]
    Total Cost = $210
    No need for the Blue&Grey Adapters, Correct?
    and the MX+ is a waste of money if you dont use Apple as it is $50 more than the LX

    Jason, thanks for the info. So can the OBD MX+ be used instead of the SGW, with the MES software? My QV is manufactured on 2/18 so I'm not sure if i need the SGW or not, to get that exhaust control module

    • @alfissimointernational
      @alfissimointernational  Před 4 měsíci +1

      No, SGW bypass needed for 2018> no matter what. You need it.

      @@alfissimointernational thanks. I realized that once I paired the OBD MX+ with the MES and used their SCAN function and at the end it stated that "SGW detected". I think affording to your tracking number I should get it by Friday

    I have a 2017 giulia Q4
    Changed shocks and brakes.
    Brakes locked up for some reason and won’t go out of Brake service mode cause it says it’s in motion.
    Maybe I missed it in the video, but what do I need for my vehicle.
    Seems like I break something trying to fix something. Taking things to the shop but I need a setup like this for the future. Thank you for the video.
