Dr please can you tell us what’s the normal sodium 🧂 level or what within the normal range in the body. That would help me tremendously. Thank you 🙏🏼 1.000 👍🏼
Have you tried Earthing or grounding. Is there a research on how it can lower blood pressure?
Sorry Dr. Still love you, Im working more, having forget you...thankyou for helping with my life stile of eating.

@@peryalcala if you talk about sodium blood levels, the normal range is 135 - 145.
I exercised regularly, didn't drink or smoke, but my BP always hovered around 140-145/80-85. Two and a half years ago I went on intermittent fasting (8 hrs/16 hrs.) and added potassium to my diet in the form of 1 full teaspoon of NoSalt potassium chloride every day. Within a couple of months my BP went to the neighborhood of 100-120/60-65 and has stayed there. I take out 15 minutes every morning and take 3 BP readings at 2 minute intervals which my machine averages. This morning I was 107/64 average for the three readings. Not bad for a 73 year old guy!

I was on BP meds for 8 years but after watching Drs video i started reversing my insulin resistance. I lost 15 kg in 4 months and stopped my BP meds. THANK YOU @Dr. Sten Ekberg
Like most Drs i was also an over gloried technician that felt i understood health and disease. But these videos made me realize how stupid Drs have been made due to pharma marketing
Congrats....very smart!....love this Dr...God bless him.
Im not watching this videos to much any more, but Im still doing well, I lost 10 pounds and still going, but Im afraid when prople offer me goodies and brake the routine.
How did you stop taking the meds? Was it gradual?
@@1969kamalasnani will done doctor, life is a learning curve, we need to keep our options open, looks like nature knows best therefore holistic treatment is the best approach to long term health. We can all need temporary medical from time to time but not as a long term solution.
I was on BP lowering medicine for years until being diagnosed Type 2 Diabetic. That scared me. High blood pressure was normal in my family and, I thought, normal as you age. I researched T2D and was astounded to find it was 100% diet induced and fully reversible. Within two weeks I was off the Metformin and insulin, and Surprise! Surprise! I had to stop taking my BP meds. I asked my doctor about why he never told me about this, he said it takes so much exercise to overcome the high sugar diet. I told him no, you stop eating the sugar and carbs. What an idiot. He's not my doctor anymore.
My one and only visit with the Dietician was a train wreck. Totally wrong info. Everything she told me to do would have made me worse. Chronic and progressive, just like my doctor told me when diagnosed.
In conclusion, DO NOT TRUST YOUR DOCTOR! Check things out yourself. Do your own research. Figure things out for yourself.
Unfortunately, we need doctors to get prescription medications and have certain tests done. But you use the info. The doctor's solution is drugs or surgery. Neither of which heal you.
👍
I totally agree with you!
They lose money if everybody is healthy and active
the doctor lost a customer
Healthy patients is an oxymoron
I simply switched to a low carb diet, lost 65 lbs...& my BP normalized. Now I'm off all my meds but one.
Thank you bgregg55 for sharing your story. That is great. I am so happy you have had such great results. Keep it up!
Makes me happy.
Great what you achieved...!!! How high was your BP please..??
🎉 Congratulations!!! That’s awesome
Same here. Low carbs, and breathing. Magnesium chloride to help me sleep
I was also on BP for over 5 years!!! As soon as I went on intermittent fasting and watched Dr Berg and you now, I'm so educated, my Dr doesn't approve, but hey Dr the numbers don't lie!! Thank you for your knowledge ❤️❣️❤️
My BP was 240/110 put on meds. And while it lowered the side affects were awful. After doing low carb, fasting, and walking daily, My health has completely turned around. Lost 70 lbs no longer have fatty liver, arthritis and fibromyalgia symptoms so much better. And BP now in the 120s/ 70s. Off all my meds😊
I recently read an amazing book called "The Salt Fix." It blows my mind that mainstream doctors still recommend a low salt diet for the majority of people. I got diagnosed with hypertension and my doc gave me a diuretic and told me to limit salt intake. I had horrible side effects from the medication, and the low salt diet caused brain fog, muscle weakness, and fatigue.
In the book I learned that healthy kidneys can remove up to 45 grams of salt per day. For comparison, the "experts" recommend limiting salt intake to less than 2 grams per day. Our bodies have five different systems for handling excess salt, but ZERO systems to handle long-term salt deficiency.
I've recently begun intermittent fasting, low carb diet, and diatomaceous earth to help lower my blood pressure naturally. Wish me luck!
I like this. Makes more sense. It's a shame that most doctors won't tell you this. It's more about money than about the actual patient. Holistics is life.
Thank You Matt Nobrega 😄
Your welcome and thank you
they DONT HAVE THE time..WORST SINCE COVID🙄🙄🙄🙄
4. Improve the sodium/potassium ratio by eating potassium-rich foods like vegetables.
Sea salt or Himalayan salt should be your primary source of sodium.
All about that ratio! Fixed my 160/95 in 3 days by supplementing fairly large on potassium.
What does it matter what salt it is?
My BP was a consistent 145/90 my entire adult life. Last February I decided to quit eating sugar and cutting my carbs to less than a 100 grams per day after a few of my buddies were diagnosed with diabetes. To my surprise,,,,my BP started dropping? I check my BP regularly and started seeing it drop,,,almost immediately. Within 2 weeks my BP was always under 120/ 70....And if I am really relaxed it will come in under 100/70! So for me,,,it was the sugar and carbs causing me the BP

I was low sodium for years with high blood pressure. Then I noticed a salty taste when I sweat. I checked into it and it is from low sodium in the body. I increased my salt and now my blood pressure is normal.
Same here. I'm always hospitalized because of low sodium. I take sodium chloride 1g once a day. I also have hbp. Sometimes it reach up to 180/100...Right now, it's under control with medication of ibesertan 150 mg in the morning and catapres 75 mg at night time. But my bp still goes up from time to time.. I'm 64 yrs old, 5"1 slim.. 97 lbs... I'm doing low carb diet, IF and sometimes keto.
Sir, I am from India and watching your videos regularly. Not only that, I have changed my diet to reverse insulin resistance. You are doing a great job and changing lives of many people including myself who is living far away in the planet. Kudos!

19:17 that is so true. My blood pressure went up and doc wanted to give me meds. I have white coat syndrome. Not all docs understand this.
Yup! “White Coat Syndrome” is actually a phenomenon around the world. I developed that crap, too! My BP at the doctors clinic hovers around 140/80 and at home it goes down to 130(ish) over 75(ish). It’s the anxiety.
i've had HBP at 150/110 for almost a decade. I've changed diet, removed of harmful 90% carbs (yeah some are left *sigh), removed extra salt and started exercises. Just a week later my HBP went down to 120/80 and i quit taking PB drugs.
With or without medication, how buy the way hi
What carbs do you still eat? Lol. Just curious

My life is really being changed for the better by doing what Dr Ekberg teaches by simply skipping breakfast and fasting more I feel great . I cannot say enough.

Such a wonderful teacher... yay thanks always on point!
Water only prolonged fasting is a great way to lower blood pressure, apart from other benefits. I began my journey about two years ago with a terrifying metabolic syndrome and life risking blood pressure. I switched to a whole plant based diet (mostly raw) and together with fasting have achieved excellent results.
Love this video doc. It's so timely for me. Thank you so much.👍
I see almost all your videos. Hats off to you for your great videos and selfless service. Keep it up. Thanks.
Great video. I'm taking into account everything you've said.
I find your advice as really fantastic. You r truly practical and not just hypothetical!! I have seen your teaching at least 5 times.
I got into keto because of high blood pressure. Keto did wonders for me. 54 and no meds. Feel and look great. However on this journey of keto I ran into trouble . I was not eating junk foods and such that was loaded with salt. I was not getting really any salt on keto. Fresh veggies and Whole Foods was great . But I was not used to using a salt shaker. I became very defiant. I was told not to for years. More bad advice from my doctor. So now I use salt again . This keto and fasting is great! It’s the best news I seen in all my life. Thanks for the truth ... it’s very well received.
Thank you Farmer Dude357. It is an abundant and essential mineral. Salt used to be hard currency.
Way to go farmer dude!!
Composition of keto please, to help others.
Great advice- thank you. Especially the dealing of stress.
Great video sir I wish we had MORE people like you who actually understand and explain rather then push meds on people at slittiest concern
Great rundown and ... setting the record straight on certain that that they want us to believe. I do not want to take pill for my blood pressure, thank you.

Once again, Dr. Ekberg explains in plain English the Blood Pressure facts and myths and he is on target..exactly what my alternative MD told me years ago, Insulin Resistance is the root of many of our health problems...Thanks to doctors like Dr. Ekberg, we plain people are learning more and more healthy facts that we face every day...

When I was Hypertensive Crisis 180/160, I took 500mg of Resveratrol, which is a concentrated form of the stuff in red wine, and my BP dropped immediately to 160/140. That took me out of crisis and helped keep it lower as I lost weight. I stayed using it while I started Keto and IF. The BP was dropping in concert with my weight and visceral fat percentage. I'm now using Resveratrol 250mg as a maintenance. Also, with high BP, the Insulin Resistance helps to damage the eye, as my ocular pressure was very high. Now it's normal and the floaters are all removed.
Thank you for mentioning the sodium issue and the misperceptions. We only use Iodized salt when cooking and iodine is a critical element, much like potassium and is extremely important for pregnant women and young children for brain development. My daughters have POTS syndrome and they can get lightheaded and pass out because they don't have enough blood volume. They need to take salty foods and drink water. Fludrocortisone 0.1mg is prescribed for two of the three. Also, BP can be high if you are dehydrated. The key to taking effective blood pressure tests is to create a consistent test environment, where you are not over hydrated or under hydrated. It's best to drink a glass and a half of water 20 minutes before taking a BP test. Cuff BP meters are far more accurate than wrist ones.
Thank you The Sparkster.
Thank you so much for the helpful info. Going to start Resveratrol right away.
@Grundy Malone I already take it as a supplement. Thanks.
