I was not seeking a refund, I felt it was important to reach out before leaving negative feedback to see if the seller was being dishonest. It would be one thing if the package had a nick or cut in it, but this was blatantly opened and the piece of cardboard was REMOVED cleanly with the plastic just being a flap. To not mention that in the listing is to purposefully leave it out in my opinion. I ended up leaving positive feedback because of the immediate refund (even though I didn't ask for one, and was not seeking one). Most people would be buying a device like this to collect it for the new in packaging and that pre opened hole removes that status entirely which is why it should not have been sold as "NEW" with no mention of it being opened.

It's just an MP3 Player whose packaging I was going to destroy anyway, but I wasn't going to let him get away with selling something as NEW ITEM when it's been opened...
I wasn't after a refund, I was just inquiring about if he knew the hole was there (ofc he did btw) preemptively before leaving negative feedback. I always leave feedback on eBay because he helps the seller and I figured I'd give him a chance to explain himself. He didn't explain away anything, but instead immediately gave me a refund when I raised my concern.
Negative feedback hurts the seller a lot, and I wasn't going to leave it without first contacting him. But because of the refund I gave positive feedback and explained what happened.

Is actually new almost for sure that hole is from someone pulling the upc out for a mail in rebate. Back in the 2000s we had those😂
Not mentioning the hole in the bottom is major. Purposefully not taking a picture of it for the images too. It's misleading, never said it was not new. Selling it as new condition and not mentioning the hole leads a buyer to assume it's an intact packaging, which is pretty much the only reason someone would buy this device in 2024...Because of the packaging and collecting it. Most people don't unbox them for youtube videos.

Technically it's new it's just opened from the bottom so ya technically the product hasn't been tampered with it was probably for replacing the batterys because it's old

LOL. It's close to the lowest level of water resistance. I'm pretty sure EVERY MP3 player is at this level. Marketing is everything
