I appreciate that you said 'you can talk to us if you don't have anyone around you who likes kpop and anime'. Some people have a lot of prejudice towards Kpop. Actually kpop music so unique and clever. In kpop songs they mix different genres and the toplines and melodies are always so good. They have all genre of songs and everyone can find songs that they'll like. They mix different genres too so Kpop is like next level producing. People think that kpop songs are in general are pop and similar but look at ''Muddy Water'' this is old school hiphop but it's still kpop. Kpop has all genres in it. They do experimental songs too. That's why fans says that Kpop means korean-popular music because it's not pop all the time. As someone who understands music and has musical knowledge i can easily say that kpop really produce great songs.
I compare that to people saying Anime is cartoons. Anime is just an animated medium to tell very deep, thought provoking and in many cases better shows/movies than hollywood and live action (or sometimes just comedic echhi isekai, but who doesn't enjoy that). The same for Kpop, it is not a genre but in my opinion a much more involved, meaningful, and higher quality form of music than a lot of what is coming out in America.
I'm with you Jacob, skz found me in the right moment and saved me from dark times.
They have a way of being there for you even from the other side of the world.

Stray Kids love to put bits of anime references to their songs. Since you mentioned One Piece, I remember Start Line by 3RACHA ( Bang Chan, Changbin, Han) ---Chan's lyrics goes "as the captain that I am right now

You should show them ''3 racha runner's high live'' from their 2017 JYP showcase. Do you know this performance? it's so good and they're so young there. Han was 16 changbin was 17 and that performance is so good. It'd be good to compare them from then and now so pls react to it, they were talented babies :D
also this performance was their first important live stage as 3 Racha so it's really meaningful for them. it's so iconic they should see this! han jisung was a baby in that he looks so young :D his verse is so versatile he literally sounds like 5 different people

3racha will blow their minds. The runner's high performance is a good place to start. The maze of memories performance is also a really good one. And don't get me started on 3racha and the LOUD trainees... That performance is essentially a masterclass.
You should Listen to top and slump, its the Intro and outro Song for an anime that stray kids made💕

Seriously it has helped my daughter who suffers the same thing and she says SKZ just makes her happy and she had me at happy. I looked into SKZ almost 1.5 years ago and have been hooked. Thanks for SKZ reaction. Check out their Top and Slump (also their First Take version), it’s the opening and ending songs for Tower of God.
They have heard top and slump, when we reviewed Tower of God for our podcast. I also showed them Slump first take during that time. When we react to them on the channel, I want to show them the videos. Top might be the first anime opening they've ever heard that has an actual choreography.
Appreciate you all embarking on this journey! What you said at the end really resonates because I love reaction channels for this very reason -- it's about building community around something that we love and it often helps us through harder times in life

Slump Japanese version on one take is awesome, short but sweet :) I love muddy water as it’s so different:) also love tortoise and the hare if you want experimental :) I also “found” stray kids during first lockdown in early 2020 - as always thanks for your reaction- I have not been able to pick a bias! I have shown them the first take of Slump before we did the Tower of God episode of our podcast. When we get to slump, I think I will show them the video instead. I do want to show them Scars on first take though.

I really like if you react to Universe by EXO (color coded lyrics), it's on the slower side of the songs and so beautifull, it would be a good introduce to EXO, king of vocals in kpop.
I plan on getting to EXO in the future, the only songs I have heard are the ones that were covered on Kingdom and Call Me Baby. And of course, I don't think any Kpop fan hasn't heard Love shot.
I'm also a big one piece fan!
