I grew up in rural Country Derry, raised Catholic through 80s and 90s. Our parish priest was literally called Father Jack (surname different though) and was an alcoholic. It was sadly all too common a phenomenon in the clergy. He was also a nice fella, mind you.
Again, there was a credits scene and a post credits scene. You must watch to the end.

But it is not a form of socially enforced partial starvation either, as that is too extreme.
