My favourite bit is seeing Dougal, who has no concept of reality, still understanding how annoying Noel is
He was thinking about jumping out the plane lol can't say I blame him XD
Ted, I'm going mad.
The rabbit running the controls has a threshold and Noel passes it every time
To his credit, he's the only one who understands that the answer is always "Yes" when Mrs. Doyle "offers" tea.
Norton wasn't acting...
The best bit was Ted and Dougal being more scared of him than the ghost costume.
I CAN RELATE TO THAT
Yes Ted and Dougal screamed when they thought they saw a ghost 👻 . They screamed even louder when Noel revealed himself lol 😂
That's my favourite part of the whole show
Whoever cast Graham Norton in the role of Fr. Noel Furlong, was an absolute genius!
I think it was probably the other way around. There's no Noel Furlong without Graham.
my dads mate did the casting for father ted and said that this was his best moment in his career

Why has "WILL YOU SHUT UP?!" not become a meme yet?
That guy's delivery was perfect.
the guy that played Tony was my drama teacher in grade 7
I'm putting you on my list of enemies!
@@ades4life797 You're in for it now Tony!
It's the best scene with noel in in my opinion--HILLARIOUS DELIVERY
I feel like Biden v Trump has given it a new lease of life 😂
And you can never listen to Bohemian Rhapsody ever again without laughing.
MEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
Wasn't a fan of the song before, but this properly ruined it haha.
It’s hilarious how nobody applauded Father Noel’s rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody. It probably just grated on them. That said Graham Norton isn’t a bad singer, but he mugged shamelessly while singing the song.
Mememia mememia 😂😂😂😂
That’s how I learned the lyrics to it when I was a kid 😂
"So, Ted, how are ye? I SAW THE WHOLE OF THE MOON!!!" I love that bit.
MonsieurJimjams Fuck yeah! I'd jam to that tune in a caravan no bother hehe!
father Noel Furlong wasn't in enough episodes
Ireland doesn't have enough counties #GiveUsBackTheNorth
ye
+pgater12 ever consider that people might think yer being a bit of a pain in the auld arse there with all yer talking politics on a fecking comedy video? Not everyone wants to think of the fecking North or fecking water charges or fecking Enda Kenny or whatever fecking thing you think is relevant all the bloody time and might need a bit of a break from talking about politics.
PKBitchGirl It was a joke, relax yer bollocks pal ye
that's because he was way funnier than Ted, dougal or jack.
it's surprising how Graham Norton hasn't been in more things as an actor, especially considering how successful the Graham Norton Show is
He is a natural talk show host, as he just makes people feel at ease, as he is always projecting this happyness. People can take him in short bursts, and thats fine for talk shows. Its his niche.
I realise the original post is 2 years old, but Graham has said on numerous occasions, while he enjoys doing Acting work, he prefers to be a talk show host. I should imagine he has been offered a lot more acting work, but has turned the work down.
Ikr? He's conveyed this character brilliantly
After reading these comments I just want to say I understand and am glad he's doing what he loves. Previous comment was just to say how I was surprised and really appriciated his acting :)
He did actually have a natural flare for comedy. He shouldve pursued it. Instead he morphed into a bland BBC talk show host. Like a 2000s version of Terry Wogan. Bit of a waste tbh
My absolute favourite part is when he puts tony on his "list of enemies" 😂😂😂
+Sarah McDonnell mine is dougals face when said they might have to eat each other
+Scott Buckley yeah he's brilliant
I REALLY LIKE TONY!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Sarah McDonnell what series and episode is tgat from pls
I wish I had just a little of Father Noel's enthusiasm for life.
Emma Renee A little bit would still be far too much
all of us who don’t have any or not much… that’s where it went.
Dougal fighting off the urge to push the button in the cockpit is one of the best scenes ever
Ted, i'm goin' mad
Best line ever.
4exgold we Stan Dougal
The bit where he's eating Tony will always be the greatest thing Graham Norton has ever done. Everytime I see Graham in any other context (on drag race ,on his talk show or whatever) my mind always plays this scene I love it sm
I now do this to my 6month old son, go up to him and go "here's me eating Rowan, num num num num num" - he thinks it's hilarious
I seriously wonder how all the other actors managed to keep a straight face during Father Noel's rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody. The outtakes must be golden!
When this first aired on British TV it was a breath of fresh air.Still remember setting my video recorder incase I was out 😊
"Ah, he's got a lovely voice! Very like Celine Dion!"
+Linda K. my fave fr noel line a compliment and an insult in one go rofl
+imedi Lol, yeah :-D
Linda K. Yes genius, the whole, whole of the moon bit is top class!
Very MUCH like Celine Dion.
'But he wasn't so innocent when he crawled into bed last night at Ten past the Eleven' that should have been on here
he was probably buying some heroin....
poppenlol haha you legend I actually laughed out loud at that and I'm on my own
Ooh yes. l'd forgotten that bit!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Graham Norton OWNED that role...!
Well, it wasn't really a role, was it! They just told Graham to tone it down a bit, be himself and, well, he did fine!
@Pixel1962 Well, I Wonder... If Maybe It's Because Graham Norton *_IS_* Father Noel Furlong, "Graham Norton" Being The Name Of A Fellow Father's Disguise So That Father Noel Can Be In 2 Places Back & Forth As 2 People So He Can Keep His True Identity As An Actual Father A Secret And Not Surprise Anyone... Think About It!
“Will you calm down, you little monkey man!” is such an underrated Father Noel line lmao
“He doesn’t know he’s a priest.” 😂 Such a mad idea, but Norton sells it perfectly.
@@kisbieI really want to know the story behind that
Graham's face when Tony screamed at him cracked me up xD
ItzDowling_ That gets me all the time!
The best bit is when Tony screams "SHUT UP!" at him and rages at him. Has me in stiches everytime xD
Lucy, I’m putting you on my list of enemies.
I just find this so funny I can't bring myself to laugh anymore
@@tomgould745 oh wow, 4 years later and i still laugh at this lmfao
Oh I've been there like with somebody, followed by a similar offended to Noel's. Poor Tony.
I can relate to poor Tony lol, having been on holiday with someone as annoying as Father Noel.
I don't know how many times I've seen the scene where he pretends to eat Tony but I still piss myself everytime
Will you shut up shut up shut up
+justinjha Well I... I'm putting you on my list of enemies
lol
anawesomechannel ted.... I'm going mad!
justinjha ssssaafvccdffc
3:12 - Noels face!! absolutely brilliant! One of the best comedy performances of all time - love Graham Norton.
"Ted! haven't seen you in ages, how are you?.......I SAW THE WHOLE OF THE MOON..."
"God alimighty! its nearly 6'oclock in the morning I think what we should all do is TELL A FEW GHOST STORIES!!!!" 😂😂😂😂
Bad Kid Jordy lol hilarious he never wound down did he hahaaha
Now you know why we Irish exported Graham Norton to England.
Peace at last.
Revenge for what the English did?
You know what? We'll keep him, he does make an excellent late night host!
But you kept most of the dodgy clergy and sectarian terror attacks. Thanks 😀
LOL
We also exported Terry Wogan
You missed out Father Noel Irish dancing inside a tiny caravan. That was hilarious 😂😂😂
I went to school for a while with Graham, he was just like that back then too!
I love how, for annoying as Noel is, he genuinely doesn't have a bad bone in his body... even when he's putting someone on his list of enemies.
ted, how are you? I SAW THE WHOLE OF THE MOON. One of the funniest things I've ever seen
He looks uncannily like Graham Norton doesn't he.
He is😂
dan999uk no shit
they've never been seen together ... is it possible one might actually be the other???
😆😆😆😆😆
No resemblance u blind?
I love how he’s laughing so much he can’t get his words out when’s he talking about being at Tony’s funeral
I SAW THE WHOLE OF THE MOON! I love that bit, he even shakes when he starts, it's so funny!
This was possibly one of the better things that ever came out of Irish TV...It was certainly THE very best thing that was ever shown on British TV....love it....
Grew up watching this in Canada, so grateful :)
It's not Iorish.
@@GoteeDevotee How so? Irish writers, Irish cast, Irish crew and filmed in Ireland makes it Irish by any metric that matters.
Michael Keddy - it was mainly filmed at studios in London (only the external scenes were filmed in Ireland), the production company and most of the crew were British. So it probably could be described as an Anglo-Irish TV show
It was made by the British company Channel 4. The writers actually pitched the show to the Irish national broadcaster RTE, who rejected it ! Go on, go on, go on !
So fantastic. Just put this on whilst in a horrific mood and laughed like a drain, Father Noel is brilliant.
There... you're in for it now Tony...
HA! Only joking, look what I've really written: "I really like Tony"
The second scream gets me every time
The look on Graham's face at 3:14 is priceless.
The fact that Noel was a very minor character show in my mind that Father Ted is justifiably my favourite comedy ever. This is not a debate post, just saying it's my favourite.
‘Stick on the auld Riverdance album’😂
"I REALLY like Tony!!!" 😂
Graham Norton was fantastic as Father Noel. He really would drive you insane.
Noel Furlong another great character in what is my favourite comedy of all time, it still makes me laugh even after repeated viewings over the years.🤣
Graham Norton is absolutely brilliant.. he is a natural comic and a wonderful talent on and off camera
Haha Graham Norton was great in Father Ted
Let's have a screeching competition.
AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wouldn't youtube might break lol
Why did you eat Tony? Tony was our only son... Brilliant!
my lovely horse is my favorite song 😂
You can actually see the other actors trying not to laugh...even he laughed...omg 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂💖💖💖💖💖
Whoever disliked this video were put on Noel’s list of enemies! 😆
"Well I've never..."
So this is pretty much Graham Norton being Graham Norton LOL this character always cracked me up laughing
Every appearance he makes is a best bit
Brilliant,,,, loved it when Cher was on his chat show and mentioned Graham in Father Ted, she sad he was great, he was shocked [as were we all] that she had even seen it,, Obvs got good taste in comedy Cher
grohlbabe was that the new show or the old one, any link to footage of it?
Just youtube "Cher Graham Norton". It's when she was on the show with Robert DeNiro
When they were all trapped inside with Noel in the very dark caves, and then he suddenly starts singing Bohemian Rhapsody!😂😂😂 Graham Norton was top notch in this role.
The best moment for me is their fear at seeing a ghost and then the fear turning to sheer terror when they realise it's Noel!
He was genius in this role. Everyone on this show was amazing!
Graham's Father Noel has to one of the greatest recurring sitcom characters.
There's the other part of this episode where Noel and his youth group capsize the caravan by doing Riverdance.
That was one of my favourite Father Ted episodes. Brilliant.👍👍🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
irish dancing lol Riverdance is the dance troupe
Him singing I saw the whole of the moon is my favorite bit
One flight into terror. One Father Dougall and one button you should not press. Laughed so much I had an aneurysm 😂
ted, im goin mad!!
I REALLY LIKET TONY HAHAHHAAHAHHAAH spent my childhood watching this show and it still holds up .
Who would have thought he would one day be king of the talk show in the UK.
The fact both Ted and Dougal screamed at a guy in a sheet XD
and then were even more scared when he took it off😂
I came for the ebony and ivory bit and was NOT disappointed.
Somewhere on CZcams there is a vid of a flash mob doing Bohemian Rhapsody in a mall. It was beautiful, but now I'll never get Father Noel's version out of my head!
The thought of Noel at Tony’s funeral after he’s eaten him 😂
Father Noel is without any doubt my favourite character
Brilliant, this guy should get his own show
@dayglow Who - The Actor Or The Priest?
The reason I could never ever dislike Norton. His casting in this role has already cemented his place in the comedy gold hall of fame. Superb.
To this day I can't listen to Bohemian Rhapsody without hearing an irritated "Let. Me. Go."
@ 0:21 Imagine if Father Noel Furlong being a member of Queen.
Freddie Mercury says: You can do what you want with this song. Just don't make it boring.
Fair play to Father Noel Furlong, he was really good singing the 1975 classic hit.
I don't know how they all kept a straight face during his rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody.
"Magnific-o-o-o-o" Freddie would be proud😂
“The best bits of Noel furlong” is near enough every scene which shows how funny a character he is
Bohemian rhapsody part was hilarious
I've watched this so many times and it never fails to make me laugh. Whenever I need cheering up, I come here. Graham Norton is brilliant. The "whole of the moon!" clip is one of my favourite things ever.
Here's me eating Tony. LOL!!
Bohemian Rhapsody and the book of enemies "im at Tonys funeral..... funniest thing I have ever seen
noel is decently the best character
Poppy Moffett nah I reckon dougal was the best
The fact that even after getting trapped under a pile of rocks, Noel still can’t shut up.
The look of shame on Tony lynches head when noel tells him he's going on his list a enemies 😂
One of the very best comedy shows ever. Your right there Ted. ! Dougle standing there totally perplexed. 😂
Who can screech the loudest??? let's have a screeching competition. I'll go first: Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrggghh!!!
Class,classic,,,timeless
When he was singing bohemian rhapsody so funny and poor ted and doogle lmao
Fantastic! I miss this show.
"Where's Tony Lynch off to? Probably to buy some heroin!"
cmon Tony stick on the aul Riverdance album
There’s something just so addictive about the applause at 1:40.
"Ted, haven't seen you in ages! How are you? I SAW THE WHOLE OF THE MOON!" Definitely the best Father Noel moment for me. xD I also love "Will you sing one Ted?" "Ah you will, you've a lovely voice! Very like Celine Dion!" lol
its like the tea lady but for songs
tony flamingo the tea lady? Arse, it's Mrs. Doyle
Dougal "Ted"
Ted "Yes"
Dougal "I'm going Mad!"
Bit ironic, considering Dougal is more than mad, he is the Definition of Mad!
@United Till I Die Or Maybe Dougal Is *_NAMED_* Mad - Father Dougal Mad Maguire!
The lip wobbling has me every time! Well I never.....
Father Noel is my favourite!
I wish I had friends like him.. 😂
Watching this in 2021 and read as Noel Furlough 😂
LMAO poor Tony had had enough 😂😂
3:06 looks like Tony’s been putting up with graham all day, he looks genuinely angry lol.
@ 3:46 Father Noel Furlong's message reads:
Vorrei che trasmettessero questa serie sempre!!! ❤️
Why didn't they include the one where they're doing Riverdance in the caravan and the caravan topples over??
You saw the whole of the moon....
And the moaning michael line 🤣
3:55 is the funniest thing i've seen in ages.
Graham Norton should bring Tony back on his show.
