Be careful with using underbody coatings in the interior of cars -- they can outgas toxic chemicals that are not safe to breathe. Not such a huge deal on a drift car with the windows down all the time, but definitely not good on a daily that gets closed up, parked in the hot sun, etc.

You should flock the dash which makes the dash look like material it is used in racing a lot it takes the shine of the dash board so not to distract you while racing

SEM makes a textured paint specifically for interior parts like dashboards. It's a matte finish to match interior plastic sheen and it gives you that somewhat wrinkled/textured appearance that you'd see on a dash.

Don't forget to actually feed cold air into the ITBs. So many people put on ITBs and then leave them to suck in hot air from the engine bay. A proper intake to the ITBs should not be neglected. Looking forward to seeing them on the 86!

A really long time ago when I was an S13 owner, there was a dashboard I almost bought which someone from Japan had done an entire layer of filler over, then painted gloss black with a lot of glitter. It looked awesome!

You should look into getting the dash flocked like they have in rally cars to remove glare while driving. You can get DIY flocking kits or have it done professionally. It would work perfect the the 86.

27 different owners? That’s just crazy. How many of them never even drove it but just bought to sell? It would be interesting to see how many owners would have a picture and let you put together an album of the car’s history and evolution. Perhaps a trip back to Ireland in a few years for japfest and a group picture of all the owners you can get together in one place.

Look to see if you can source a transparent spark plug, that’s how we used to tune ITB’s or Webber down drafts. You can see by the color of the flame when you have the mixture dialed in. There are also balancing tools to adjust the air flow so they match, just because the plates are all linked and are in the same physical position doesn’t mean that it’s flowing the same. Sometimes you have to get creative with the assembly to get them to match. if you can find someone with a flow bench it's much easier to get them dialed in. it will fit in your luggage. maybe Okasan can do it for you on your trip to japan. he knows all the tricks. Sammet can hook you up.

6 points on my licence for speeding was up today so i had no points on my licence.. have to respray a bumper tonight as the clear coat is delaminating so had to get to paint shop before closing on easter sunday and after work... yep you guessed it speed trap got me doing 1mph over the limit... Always something got to try and bring us down.

The itb.s is a good idea.. i have just finished having it done to my 16v.. am using much more petrol which you might want to think about.. you can get all the rest of the stuff for the itb set up from flo.s.. the full package cost me €2800 euros..
