1 minute into the video and I’m laughing hysterically. 😂😅 The way you feel today is EXACTLY the way I’ve been feeling! Trying to be my highest self while still having to motivate myself to get out of bed and stop moping. And I also need to get my eyebrows done. 😂 For me, beauty is exhausting and it seems like a never ending money pit. I’m trying to do a dramatic glow up but I don’t know anything about makeup. I have no idea what to buy and what products to use and I know I’ll probably spend several hundred dollars on makeup. I was proud of myself when I discovered eyelash extensions but I’ve never done microblading or hair extensions? Then I have to buy new clothes because everything I own is basically out of style already fml. Then I have to buy a new gym membership and go back to the gym and work out everyday. Then I have to buy a camera or a new iPhone and figure out how to take nice pictures and filters and photoshop or w/e…I’m still using an iPhone 7 lmao. I deleted my social media accounts a year ago and am eventually going to start new ones.
But beauty is so mentally exhausting and my mood is: I want to wear no makeup and sweats and just NOT CARE. I want to eat bad things and not feel guilty. I do not give a fuck if I become a librarian/cat lady who never marries!
😂😂😂 OH MY GOD THIS IS THE MOST META THING EVER. 😭 I hit the play button again and died laughing because I JUST did crest whitestrips for the first time in 7 months. I had to force myself to do it but I am you. 😂😂😭

being productive is so good for us, but really “glowing up” isn’t when we give ourselves all the focus. it’s the exact opposite. when we die to ourselves and choose a life that is worth serving other people, and we do it with the right motivation, that’s when we are at our best. not the same as feeling our best. this world is broken, you don’t have to be a christian to know and say that. no matter how hard we try to better ourselves, we are always gonna fail in the end because we’re so focused on how WE can do it. and people will make these videos saying that when you finally give yourself the care you deserve that’s when you’ll find fulfillment. yes we should take care of ourselves, but when we are selfish in that way, we will never be satisfied. we will always be chasing something else. we aren’t meant to be comfortable all the time. doing the right thing is gonna be uncomfortable for a second because it’s not what the world wants. this world is not our home, we need to stop treating it like we’ll be here forever ❤️
