Thanks for your great videos! I bought a 2016 Acadia this year and it’s reaching 100k miles. Previous owner did some of this maintenance already and I will be working on the rest. Hopefully reach many more miles as it’s a great car.

I see a lot of comments with negative things to say about the GMC's. I'm actually watching these videos because I just bought an Acadia. And the REASON that I chose to buy a GMC product, is because I have a GMC Envoy that just went over 301,000 miles a few weeks ago. And counting. Still have it, and will until it's over. The thing is, not only is it still going, but it is still 100% operational and 100% dependable. It doesn't leak, burn, or otherwise lose or consume fluids of any kind. No smoke and no trans slippage. No engine noise. It's unreal. And what's more, it's not even showing any of the typical symptoms that would tell me that the engine or trans are even beginning their decline towards failure. BUT... I acknowledge that the Envoy DOES have the Vortec engine in it. So I really hope that I didn't make a mistake here. Anything specific I outta do, or take a look at on this vehicle? Thanks.

Direct injection engine on these are horrible. At 70k miles I had to spend $2000 to have the injectors replaced. I couldn't believe it. Normal maintenance is a nightmare. Change the oil? Oil filter faces forward and when you take it off, fluid pours everywhere. All over the place. And will keep dripping for a few days as oil gets in places you can't see. Air filter? Good luck with that. Serpentine belt? Lol remove the passenger tire to get at it! Radiator fluid? Have fun with that and pray you don't have to change the thermostat. Seriously these are typically simple DIY jobs but they are a pain on is vehicle. I've had many cars over the years and this one has been the worst. Hell, I have a 2009 C300 and it's better and easier to work on than my 2012 gmc Acadia. Only reason I keep it is because I can't afford a new or used vehicle. I purchased the Acadia new, only owner and it's been garage kept since owned. Imagine if it was kept outside! Lord! Good luck man. I wish you well with your car. You're going to need it.

I have a 2010 Acadia with 225,000 miles and still running strong. Regular oil changes has helped keep the engine problems to a minimum. I have had to put in new injectors and plugs that I ordered thru Amazon for less than $200.00. I grew up working on old school carburetor engines but have learned to adapt to this using trouble codes to diagnose and have managed so far. I guess it really comes down to having patience and lots of it. If all else fails, check here on CZcams a lot good advice from fellow diy owners.

There is no way that I would wait until 100,000 miles to perform most of these services. The manufacturers recommend such long intervals to drive down the total cost of ownership. Of course, I do these fluid replacements myself, so all it costs me is for the fluids. Less that $75 would get me the trans, power steering and brake fluids. Coolant, too. Plus a few hours of my time. :-)

I think I asked this on another one of y’all’s videos but not sure but just in case maybe somebody will see it in the comments and reply…. I have a P0430 code which is a catalyst code…was driving coming up to a light and it did a quick Sputter but was so quick I almost didn’t realize it so I thought when I stop at the light I’ll put it in neutral and give it some gas to see, sure enough it did it again so I pulled over to check and got back in and it wouldn’t start

My engine has been burning oil and research indicated the PCV valve was to blame. It would not pull out, I wiggled it with vice grips, broke it in the well and had to pay $700 for removal. After hammering the new valve in with a socket over it, I was told it will not come put again without a repeat of the $700 service for removal.

Most precise camera settings of the fleet surpassing even the Corvette. Notification of lane departure keeps attention where it is important. Driving passengers are a breeze in that sunroof and 4 types of entertainment. Over 400 miles on a tank. Maintain this per industry standards you will get 200 300 thousand miles if you change oil every 3,000 miles. The looks last good until 2030 suggest wax 4 times year and drive less than 8,000 miles on average. Science has found the 2016 Denali Acadia to be safe and effective for transporting medical persons and equipment when there is no need for medical persons traveling at warp speed. And now we have AI and medical equipment that begins to transform into circuits that morfs into antennas with blue tooth codes on self driving. As a consequence the nation elected this section of the world Acadia to Trump over all other modes. Due to the additives injected these heart beat of America are siezzzing up for a sudden surprise stop. This is not a problem because of all the air bags.
