Beneath The Mask is the song that plays when you have free time at night and it's written from Joker's pov. Joker has a rival character named Goro Akechi that is his mirror opposite in every way. Akechi is a very serious person burdened with responsibilities. He takes great care to maintain perfect grades and to ensure that his public image is highly curated. He's respected, considered a prodigy and he's always smiling, but deep down he's miserable. He hates himself and everyone else and the only time he has fun is when he's spending time with Joker. No More What ifs plays when Akechi takes you to a local jazz club. It's the one place where he feels like he can relax and at least partially be himself. It's a brief glimpse beneath Akechi's mask. Also fun fact, the NPC that sings in the jazz club is a stand in for Lyn, because Shoji Meguro actually met Lyn in a similar jazz club and that was how she got hired to work on Persona 5. As for Colors Flying High, you're actually not really lacking much context because it's the intro song when you start up the game! I personally found your criticism of it to be valuable as something always felt a little off to me about the song but I lack the musical expertise to articulate it. So never stop being honest! And lastly, a note about SMT vs Persona. I think Persona hits different because the songs reflect the themes of the games. Persona is about interpersonal connections. It's about forging relationships with other people and finding your place in the world. Choosing a color to live by so to speak. SMT is about gods and the clash of cultures. SMT tends to be bleak and nihilistic, even lonely. It's essentially a warning of what could happen to society if we don't correctly straddle the line between law and chaos.

You should definitely check out the persona q 2 song "cinematic tale" if you haven't already. It has 3 versions, each one adding singers from each game from 3-5 and thus the song changes with more voices and stuff with each version. It's one of my favorite persona tracks. There should be proper versions you can find, might solve your guitar problem.
