You talk as if the story in WoW is the most important thing to be had. It's not. The only exciting thing to be reveald here are those 10 next TP spenders to be had at lvl 80,those so called hero talents while the rest is unimportant
@@florineala I think the idea of having Metzen back, so pumped, is what jostled the emotion of it all. That said, if you're so set against the direction and story, wander off and find a story that suits you. Nobody will judge you yet here you are judging others, how quaint.

Chris is the most passionate about WoW, it is his baby more or less, HE is the true Heart of Azeroth, and i greatly fear the day when we lose him forever.
It took them 6 years and ONE CHRIS METZEN for Blizz to FINALLY do something with that EFFING SWORD!

saw it yesterday and i am STILL cleaning my drawers as we speak. WOW, Thrall said "let's get to work" and they have officially popped off. i knew that Metzen was back, but titans damnit, i am blown away.
17:01 These Blizzard cinematics always repeating the previous ones in some sense, what I really like btw. It has this kind of prophetic feeling. The Lich King stance with the sword (I think Anduin did it in the BfA fight as well) was an obvious one but I've found a more subtle one as well: how Thrall kneels down in the sand just reminds me of the Warcraft 3 Scourge ending cinematic when Archimonde does the same.
I hope accolon doesn’t delete me for this LOL. But anduin is Arthas’ son. He is acting out Arthas’ story but redeeming him by doing so. The son redeeming the father is an archetype. The war within will be anduin dealing with finding out the truth. He can go light or dark. All the symbolic mirroring of anduin and arthas isn’t just for fun.
Cinematic is great ... the fact that they announced multiple expansions .... but I am still not sold on the follow through ... Metzen being back is a positive ... but again if its the same writers as in the interview I dont have that much hope .... Dragon Flight started good as well but then fell to pieces after .... so will wait and see what they do following this
I have the same feeling. Plus I think WoW was always a bad vessel to deliver the story. The quest system is subpar to any good RPG. Another problem is that they have too many characters and storylines compared to how much they can deliver.
Gotta love the love the fans have towards Metzen. Even with all the shit that happend with blizzard activision the moment he stepped in it was like none of it ever happend.
My theory, and it's just a theory, is that he got wind of what was going on and got out before the guano hit the osculation device. They asked him back because they knew he was the only one that could save it and he was willing because the bad actors are either out or heading that way. And I for one am so glad he's back, omg, he's THE storyteller of WoW.

All joking aside though I truly hope WoW players finally get a good and strong narrative. While I haven't personally been playing since BFA I really do want to see WoW do good.
For me it’s cautious optimism. They still need to deliver on the presented goals and without the “two steps forward, one step back, and one step to the side into the meat grinder” style Blizzard became known for. But the warband philosophy and delves and such provides some hope.
All I can say I'm so glad the team seems to be learning from their competitors and something for me that feels more like WoW. I've played casually since since Burning Crusade with the last few expansions completely falling flat adn me having little to nothing to do afterwards. Account wide reputations and overworld content that can give end game gear sounds incredible. I'm definitely going to be jumping back in for this and hopefuly its something that can bring back warcraft.

That was the look of a man who has seen way too much and he's got a heavy dose of PTSD from it. The "I trust you" from Thrall, who he's always looked up to brought to him a trust he didn't and couldn't find within himself, a life-line to maybe becoming less haunted, although never again whole. Yeah, I've seen that, my brother who was a Marine saw some serious shit and has it. I'm wondering now about Turalyon and Genn Greymane. Can Genn handle a lion with his roar and can Turalyon give up that throne he's been keeping warm and how is THAT all going to play out?
young Anduin needs to understand, everyone has both light and shadow within them, it's the choices we make that determine where we fall under that scale. the things that were done under Zovall's will, were not his actions, and maybe there is a side of him that liked it, but that doesnt mean that's who he is.@@charlayned
@@UltimateGamerCC True, and I think that's where his disconnect lies, in the dependence on the light to all else. He's spent his life trying to live up to what he thinks is his father's expectations, that he become a good king to succeed his father. A boy's admiration for the dad type of thing. And that pushed the light, remembering that scene at the gates of Orgrimmar when he throws down the sword to pull the light to bring back his dying army. He has, basically, avoided even trying to deal with the shadow side in the quest to be good enough. And when he wasn't, in his own eyes, good enough, that broke the whole thing. I think this expansion will see him either grow into that balance or die, and I can't imagine the second one. And the war that would result with people vying to gain the Wrynn throne.
What is Azeroth is just a big Baddie. Everyone has been trying to stop her from waking.
nope, i'll tell you what she is, she is something new, something all sides seek to twist to their ends. Fel sought to exterminate her, so that Void cannot corrupt her. Death sought her as a means to unmake the universe and remake it in it's own image. the Titans seek her, believing that she is an unborn Titan.

I love the Arthas pose from Anduin. But he wasnt dark - he is the central figure of this saga and it will end with him. Mark my words.
Imagine a cinematic where Anduin isn't crying. Now that'd be a thing.
That said... This quality is just insane.
We had that in the Lost Honor and Reckoning cinematics in BFA. However, I ignore BFA because of its poor storytelling.
Well he has literally been through hell and came back from literally being a slave of evil.
I got goosebumps the moment I heard those few notes from Varian's Legion theme, so good
I don't like the cinematic...that much, it was kinda of a bummer after the excellent Metzen presentation. This is clearly directed to us, the lorenerds that weight 110kg and our beard would touch our pubes if it was not for the enormous belly circumference, but you can't show this as your main selling point to people who is not into lore, it says nothing to them.
I don't like how slow they speak, like if they thought we are dumb and we need to be spoken really slowly. I don't like it is again a video about some dude talking about how he feels. And I don't like how Anduin goes from edgyboy to "of course I'll help you" for no reason, unless they are hinting at Azeroth having some kind of mind control or soothing capability on Azeroth denizens.
And besides all of that, I loved it. Still needs to change some things...bad setting tone is still there, they have to change how they speak on cinematics... feels like we are on the bottom part of a growing curve so I am hopeful for the future and hopeful to keep seeing good changes.

I am sitting here thinking of the quote from nzoth "the light have made a pact with the enemy of all". Sarg could fix that description because he wants to reset everything. And that big crystal below that acts like the sun down there is shining light. Maybe Sarg made a deal to get the light down there by stabbing azeroth.

You can’t spare 50$ every 12-18 months (its been speculated of shorter expansions of around this length) instead of 24 months? Personally, i think having this void/titan saga drag out for 6 years would be too long. 3-4 years sounds better for sagas.

There is no hypeman like Metzen. On top of that he's the founder of the whole franchise. He's amazing. So glad to see him again. As many has said, it's felt like seeing a long lost friend again.

A cinematic and some nostalgia bait. Because Metzen will surely turn the entire game around by simply being a narrative advisor.
I watched Hazel's stream of the announcements so I could react myself with minimal intrusion. Now I'm enjoying watching everyone else's reactions.

Accolonn said that Azeroth is the only actual Titan. And the titans we’ve always known are actually constructs. That to me sounds spot on accurate. The Last Titan title hints at that along with all the Titan controversy going on now. Guess we’ll find out during the final title of the saga.
This is akin to Tolkien rising from the grave after LOTR tv show and saying "im the writer of the next TV series, meat's back on the menu boys"

The titans are an alien race that terraforms planets to create Azerite or a parallel natural fuel/energy source. The Old Gods were the original protectors of Azeroth, enslaved and imprisoned by the titans.

the Light is ultimately good, but there is a tyrannical side to it that we must remain wary of, this is the difference between walking with the light, versus submitting to the light.

I am not convinced it will work out, but boy are they lighting a fire, a fire which already burned out any remembrance of "the greatest mastermind of all time" or whatever that disappointment of Shadowlands was claiming to be
It’s pretty exciting to see! May even resub. The gameplay loop will probably be the same thing but it sounds like WoW is making moves to be the king. Idk if I’ll resub though. I’m kinda over WoW.

Classic+ taking stuff from other private servers is a good move, not great, but good. At least theyre acknowledging what people want. Im so glad they outlined the story and have an expansion plan! About fucking time. Everything after wrath was empty, with the exception of Legion.
I guess I'm not feeling it. I really want WoW to be modernized: complete voice acting a la EQ2, SWTOR, or ESO. I'd like a major graphics overhaul that's been long rumored. The story needs a bit more bite for me.
They should do what? Milk more money? Sub is cheapest 140$ and now normal start for expansion is 90$. You only get delayed start cheaper. The whole saga is 3 expansions in few years, which will mean 1 year expansion with 1 month prepatch between each. Meaning less free patch content for each shorter expansion. You pay a lot for less content as current track record for good expansions is very bad. Pay more and get less quantity and quality, wohoo🎉🎉🎉

I love everything about this, I just don’t like Anduin coming back after one expansion. He should come back at the end of War Within. Doesn’t feel long enough for a redemption arc imo

It is not the biggest by any means. It is just a marketing trick: they announce 3 things, but in reality it will be like a one thing, but devided into 3 parts. TWW already has less content announced than DF. No new class, no new specs, now new races (just a reskin of dwarves). The whole Heroic talents thing looks like a glyph system from WotLC in terms of its scope. Warband is just a fancy word for QoL changes. Delves are glorified scenarios from MoP.
There are literally nothing truly new, except art. Art is very good, as always.

lol is that what you got from Delves? are you even aware of what made Torghast suck in the first place? it was because it was made something you HAD to do and multiple times a week at that, the other issue was there wasnt enough variation. those issues are not there, it's optional and it's varied.

1. When I first saw the cinematic, with the title, I thought thy were talking about Anduin. Looking at the "orb" it appears light with shadow just on the edges, so I figured Anduin's battle within himself.
2. For me 3 expansions is not enough. It is like a series of books, the first is the introduction to the conflict, the second is the invasion of the enemy, the third would be the return of the heroes (or perhaps who we assume are the heroes) and the final is the end battle. So this saga should be at least 4 expansions.
3. Did anyone else see Xal'atath's eyes and think they look like eclipses.
....if its not WoW 2 in UE5 I'm just not interested
The 3 new ready expansion announcement is noting new bro . Blizzzard had like 3 expansions ready when a new expansion came out but never announced it publicly like this . Look at preach ion interview . He said back in legion came out bfa and shadowlands where already . Now they hype you for it. look 3 expansions milk your money dont fall for it . Wait it out if it is good or not
While its good they're actually taking their story more seriously and realizing one off expansion beats is annoying and hard to stick with, What they announced as an expansion is entirely average, The features literally listed on their website are:
Zones
Dungeons and Raids
Dynamic Flying
Delves
Dwarves
Hero Talents
The first 3 are a given these are not features they're expacted, in fact if Dynamic Flying was delayed from a patch to be a Expansion "Feature" that is absolute trash.
Delves are a positive for a certain player type and nothing for the rest, Its fine, but its not really thing impressive.
Dwarves are meh at best
Hero talents are the only Feature i would count as a plus but them alone is whats irking me, I dont think its enough for a 80 dollar expansion. I think at the very least they need one more thing one more hook equal to hero talents or just below. For the most part if i look at Hero Talents as similar to the reintroduction of Talents from Dragonflight, i just see another Dragonflight.
Leave the game alone. Any changes equals bad. Blizzard does nothing right.

I got to say, I was hyped about returning to Azeroth and the last one in the saga about returning to Northren, reminded me of the QnA with Accolonn where I posed the question of, what if we returning to the old world, but over time, the world gets a revemp and we can choose a starting point and get cool rewards and stuff and Northrend was the example I gave, so 2 out of 3 things I kinda got right, we are returning to the old world, Northrend being one of the continents, we are having a revamp over time (even if not outright word of mouth confirmed) but I was not expecting this!
These are the last three expansions. Microsoft goes with Blizzard for WOW 2.
i was super irritated with blizzcon. classic plus is seasonal. cata classic exists. wrath has "much more to go" but cata will be released "early 2024". Retail still seems like it's going to be super woke. In fact it seems like they made the dwarf race to cater to the woke crowd while making the arathi to cater to the original fanboys. Dragonriding everywhere, oooohh boy i cant wait. The cinematic that everyone is cumming over is just 2 dudes talking in a desert about their thoughts/feelings. cinematics used to feature this little thing, called, WAR.
Every single thing that could have been great, had all these letdowns attached to it. typical blizzard. Feel like im just being pushed into the arms of private/bot servers.
