In todays video I am sharing my reaction to Chris Metzen coming onto the Blizzcon stage and announcing the new World of Warcraft Worldsoul Saga which shows us THREE new expansions: The War Within, Midnight and The Last Titan!
We get to watch the cinematic for The War Within where we see an older and changed Anduin Wyrnn speaking with Thrall in Silithus. And finally the sword is being addressed lol.

The reason we all get so emotional is because we just want the the game to be good, we love this game, I've been playing since 2007 and it literally is a second home to me
As much shit as I give the game I do it out of love for it. There is so much potential for the game and it kills me to see it squandered.
I'm fine with sylvanas being written off for now, but if the windrunners aren't reunited when we return to quelthalas, it'll be a crime.
Yeaa me too, it's still too soon for her to come back. At least they added her on Rumble tho :p

@danielmeagher9007 I think they're gonna be releasing these new xpacs every year now instead of 2 years. Not 100% sure but that's what it sounded like

I might have watched this panel over 5 times now. Every time I get the same excitement and tear when Metzen is called to the stage. His delivery was immaculate. WoW and its players needed some love. The cinematic was as if Metzen (Thrall) was calling out the players (Anduin) to bring us back home, to Azeroth.
I've rewatched it a bunch too. His energy is incredible and it hits me in the feels everytime. Such an iconic moment seeing him walk one stage after so long. And yes I agree 💜

This was such a cool reaction. You getting emotional in the beginning really mirrored my emotions and I got emotional all over again.
Metzen is our Warcraft Dad, our WARCHIEF. I am glad he is back
i actually started crying abit for Anduin the crap he has had to go through running a hole kingdom as a child father dying during the legion attack then his soul and mind being controlled by the jailer i was getting so emotional cause you could feel his pain he was going through >.
I know me too, hes been through so much. i've really come to love Anduin a lot in the past few years.

Daddy Metzen is back to save the lore. And WoW. Love it. Missed him. And the OGs.
And I cried too when he comes back. He and the OGs were the passion behind the games. We all feel it.

Nice heartfelt react here, I play ff14 but have played some WoW and have very fond memories of WC3, I hope this is a resurgence for your games storytelling and the return of the WoW I remember hearing about.

i believe that it is, everything that was announced was things we wanted to hear, admittance that they had failed us, and that they did. BUT, they want to make things right and i for one am eager to let them try.
I moved on to FF14 after my time from Wrath to BfA. I too hope it can get better and maybe learn some things from it's competitors. Metzen sure knows how to sell a product but I remain skeptical. Three expacs announced is a pretty big risk.
Remember that the Void wanted Alleria to kill Sylvanas because he saw her as a threat to them. The reason in my opinion is that Sylvanas should be at the forefront of the 2nd expansion of the saga and probably save her sister who succumbs to void

Jeez, I missed him. No other dev has the visible, audible passion for the game-story that he does, and no one else connects with the crowd like he does.
I think the fact that he voiced/voices both Thrall and Varian adds something to it; it's almost like he becomes- or represents- our Faction Leaders, calling us to arms and guiding us into the expansion, while he's on that stage.
Letting Metzen cook on stage was the greatest marketing move they could ever do.
Chris is funny 🤣 3 EXPANSIONS THAT WAS CRAZY ⚔️ how emotional you got really shows how much you truly love this game.
just wanna say Sylvanas is my fav wow character....and the dark lady will always watch over us

I've watched the in-game trailer a bunch of times now and I really love the mysterious narration from Alleria at the start. It feels darker and much spoopier than past several feature overview trailers we've had. Also Xalatath looks cool as hell.

You can tell that even after he left in 2016, coming back he didn't miss a beat and he still sees Warcraft as his baby. The rest of the presentation for Rumble, HS and such felt clearly forced from the teleprompter and more like an Expo for shareholders to judge upcoming content based on audience reaction but Metzen showed what blizzcon is about, making content that players want to see, not what tested well with Focus Groups.
I dunno who you are but I'm binging people reacting to blozzcon because it was so good and the fact that you started crying before Chris even came out gets my sub. Also, sick hair

a lore guy i watch on youtube told me something that blew my mind. this cinematic, it wasnt about Anduin and Thrall, so much as it's Anduin being us, we hear the call, we see the visions, but we do not answer. and Thrall is Metzen, coming to tell us that he wants us to come back, and that he's sorry that he failed us. this Saga is not only a gamble to get the players coming back, it's the WoW Team and Metzen seeking redemption, while trying to set things right

It will take a while cause its for fall 2024, still dragonfly its not bad like the last two expansions, its fun and have interesting things, but nothing compare to legion or wrath of the lich king

Blizzard's CGI still amazes me. Their work in this category seems better than what large companies like Disney can pull off. The Lich King trailer still looks good today. My first experience with WoW was Burning Crusade. I stopped after Wrath of the Lich King and only played for a bit during Cataclysm, mostly pvping. I haven't been back since, but this is tempting.
Oh I know right, their CGI is the best for sure. If they made a full movie like that, it would be insaneeee. Hey it's worth a try coming back. I haven't played much retail cuz I've been on classic more since it came out. But I will definitely be trying these new xpacs

Aman'Thul said in that certain cinematic "We gather our strength." (abbreviated version). I've been saying all the time since hearing it "Why do you need strength for a prison?" I've been saying all the time the Titans would come back. (there are a few posts from me lurking around where I said this). But anyway, I can see us alongside "Lady Azeroth" (as the world soul has been for me a long time already) against all realities, gods, demons and everything else the universe would throw at us. Remember we got our free will as our strongest weapon...
At the end of "The Last Titan" I want the title "Lady Azeroth's Defender." 🥰

loving the sound of the warband thing! where you and your alts get to share reps n stuff instead of doing them over n over on each alt/ main - which is one thing thats annoying the hell out of me in dragonflight!! But ye the cinematic was amazing as they mostly always are!! I remember people complaining that the sword thats stuck in azeroth is just simply forgotten about but then they hit us with this!! "forgot about what sword?? This sword?? Nah just biding our time until the right time!" Got me excited to see where this will end....
All them hints or callbacks to arthas in that scene made me wonder. Is Anduin going to betray us?

after watching the cinematic, I felt like this should have been a natural continuation of legion and I worry that bfa, shadowlands and in part dragonflight did irreversible damage to WoW, like there's no hope
I totally feel what you mean. They let it go way too long without addressing the sword and I feel like a lot of weird stuff happened in bfa and shadowlands for sure :p

Shadowlands were necessary. It tied to the whole Jailer lore that was hinted since Wrath.
Plus I do believe his actions in the raid are what truly awoke Azeroth

The big reason I stopped playing WoW is because they literally have no more cinematics to keep you invested and transported into the story. Don't need anything crazy like Final Fantasy but cut the quest lines into chapters and give us some cinematic candy.
