Manola S yeah, I am italian and my italian friends and parents who for example went to america say that people there can't cook pasta, they overcook it, and then put it again to cook in the microwawe, so it becomes like glue... and then they add ketchup (instead of tomato sauce) and their """parmesan 100% italian""" american cheese made with cellulose, and my friends just wanted to cry... an advice people: if you have italian friends, or want to host italian exchange students, DON'T try to make them happy cooking italian food, you would probably make big mistakes and they wouldn't like it. As a girl with two Italian parents and well exposed to good food and cooking, good job. When she was talking about what sauces and pasta types to use I was talking with her lol
Luca Comelli What are you talking about? This video did a great job explaining how to make pasta. Although the one-pot pasta isn't traditional, you have to admit that it is easy and little clean up. - from the daughter of an Italian mother
You're completely right, but you'd need a pretty ridiculous amount of salt to change the bp enough to actually have a noticeable effect on the cooking temp/time
Less Talk, More Delicious It's ragù, a traditional italian sauce made with tomato sauce, ground meat and vegetable stock. It's what you'd call "bolognese sauce". The kind of pasta she used is paccheri tho

I'm roman, trust me when I say the perfect midnight snack is "ndu spaghi" (roman for "2 spaghetti). Set your spaghetti to cook and on a low heat set some garlic to cook in quite a bit of olive oil until the pasta is ready, then, add the pasta to the pan with the garlic and the oil, add some peperoncino (spicy pepper sauce stuff (best made homemade by your Nonna)) and that's it. Done properly, it's amazing

Isabella Perry That's actually a myth from the extraterrestrial reptiles of Zongork. The heat will conduct through the lid and into the atmosphere. This causes global warming, so that Earths death can approach faster. Are you happy now? Knowing you're killing everyone?!
ive never cooked a bad batch of pasta wtf. put it in the pot with bubbling (boiling) water and check to see how soft the noodles are once in a while until youre satisfied ?? lol
This is actually a pretty good tutorial, except for the one-pot cooking part which is completely wrong if you want traditional Italian pasta But it's one of the best non-Italian tutorial you can find! Good job
I tried that one-pot creamy chicken and mushroom recipe today, and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! Even tho it looked a little bland at first, I've been wanting to try something new... and I'm glad I did. I'd definitely make this again!
I always turn off the heat at the end and crack one egg and then stir and mix it fast and then cover the lid for 2 mins and then serve my pasta :D That texture it gets is something else. No need to add extra unnecessary cheese at the end to get that creamy texture :)
Pro Tip:- If you are to use the pasta in a sauce based dish, cook the pasta a hair underdone and finish cooking in the sauce. This shall provide the benefit of the sauce being soaked in the pasta itself, making sure no bite remains completely bland. This also had the added benefit of lightly colouring the pasta.
So I just made the one pot pasta shown in this video and it was DELICIOUS! I was a bit sceptical about the spinach but it worked oh so well with everything else.

Sarah M I see. Thanks. :D
+Sarah M but how is it supposed to make the water boil quicker?
it takes it longer to boil, but the boiling water is at a higher temperature so the pasta cooks quicker :)
That's why i salt water once it is a rolling boil...based on my own experience it really makes the boiling process longer...
