  • Video: Introduction and initial test fitting of a K series engine in a first generation Honda Civic. The idea here is to see if a K series fits as a RWD configuration. If it looks promising, then it's time to work on restoring the car and doing some fabrication.
    The best part is that I have no experience in restoring or fabrication 😅

    I also have a 77 civic and want to do an engine swap. I've seen people do b18 integra swaps keeping it transverse which I liked. Do you think the inline orientation with rear wheel drive is better? The transverse seems to fit really well in the engine bay.

      I don’t think one is better than the other. For RWD, it’ll be a little more work to create a transmission tunnel and rear diff support but either swap will require re-fab. It’s just a preference and the level of creativity you’d like to put into it. It’ll be a true joy either way.

    Hey I have a b series swapped first gen. Had to also do some extensive mods, let me know if you need any advice on areas that are easy and safe to trim to get some more clearance 🤙🏼

      What did you do about a harness?

      Rywire! They have some hood b series harness and a flying lead you can get. Takes some wiring but hey, it’s a custom job

      Did you ever get around to a 5 lug conversion? Do you have any pictures?

      Nope I stuck with 4x120 since I had some nice wheels

    This shouldn't be legal the body weighs as much as the motor your putting in

    • @Teedohs
      @Teedohs  Před 2 lety

      Not quite. The engine is roughly 300~ LBS while the chassis is 1,200 LBS. Also, there isn't any law about power to weight ratio 😂
