Other people you didn't recognize, Jerry Reed as Coach Red. Jerry Reed (1937-2008) was a country singer best known for his co-starring role with Burt Reynolds in "Smokey & the Bandit". Fairuza Balk as "Vicky Vallencourt" . She was very scary in the movie "The Craft". And Rob Schneider as the "you can do it" guy. A regular on Saturday Night Live in the 1990's. Has appeared in other movies either with or without Adam Sandler.

Kathy Bates in Misery is a childhood memory for me, my mother LOVED Stephen King and was watching that movie one day I just happened to take notice cause of how crazy Kathy Bates character was.

I was sure you were going to enjoy this one. Such a fun movie. And when you've watched a few Sandler movies, you'll see some familiar faces like Rob Schneider (the "You can do it!" guy). These are people that he's been friends with since he started in comedy and he puts them in almost all his movies.

I seen this in theaters and was my first Adam Sandler film when i was 10. The whole theater was laughing so hard and I been a fan ever since!

Cathy said she originally wasn’t interested in doing this movie because it’s silly, then her grandkids said you have to do this movie because Adam Sandler is in it and he’s cool. So she did it for her gbabies. I thought that was awesome 😊

Coach Klein is played be Henry Winkler who is famous for playing Fonzie on Happy Days. Also Captain Insano is WWE Superstar Big Show.
I'm not a huge Sandler fan but I've always loved this movie.
I had SUCH a crush on Fairuza Balk ( Vicki Valencourt) back then and from THE CRAFT
Your assignment is to notice Clint Howard in movies. He was one of the fans in this, he's in Addams Family Reunion, Apollo 13, all the Austin powers movies, and of course every installment of the Star Trek franchise
I love seeing you watch comedies, you laugh from beginning to end. We just lost over a half dozen at the jobsite yesterday (fired for minor reasons b/c were overstaffed), in these dark times i gotta watch a comedy to lift my spirits, thanks for being there when i needed it most.

I knew from the first time I watched you that you are my kind of people. Finding out you were from Iowa and a farmer made sense since my dad's family are farmers from Iowa. I enjoy watching you immensely.
Growing up Lynn Swann my favorite WR for the Steelers in the 70s. He retired too young from the NFL, but i guess he avoided more problems by doing that, then had a good career as a reporter.

One of my favorite movies with Bobby Boucher being one of my favorite characters in all of film.
The bad coach was Jerry Reed, a country singer and actor from the seventies. He was in Smokey and the Bandit with Burt Reynolds and Sally Feild. If you haven't yet, you really need to check that one out. Oh yes, Jackie Gleeson is also in that as a wacko sheriff.

Fun Fact! The buck tooth guy they keep showing in the stadium that says "Joe Montana was a quarterback" was the homeless guy in Happy Gilmore.

Clint Howard (who you just saw in "Backdraft" as the morgue attendant) is the fan who mistakes Joe Mantegna for Joe Montana. And you just watched Joe Mantegna in "Airheads" last week - he was the radio deejay.

The other coach was Jerry Reed who was a world class guitar player and country musician. You really need to watch Smokey and The Bandit with him and Burt Reynolds

I saw this in theaters with my brother and we DIED laughing. That was the first time I'd seen Henry in a comedic role and I adore him now. He was also in Here Comes the Boom, if you want to add that to your list.

Other terrific Adam Sandler films include 50 First Dates, Mr Deeds, Click, Anger Management, and You Don't Mess With The Zohan. Some folks may disagree with some of those choices, or even add to the list, but those are the most fun to watch ones...in no particular order, of course. ✌
He has some great dramatic roles too, including Click that you mentioned. Uncut Gems, Punch Drunk Love, Reign Over Me.

The more Adam Sandler movies you watch, you'll notice that he has several of the same actors in the majority of his movies. You will LOVE 50 first dates and recognize several people in that movie.

Seeing jerry reed reminded me that your really need to see a movie that has gone down in history as legendary. "Smokey and The Bandit" its got action, comedy, fast cars and semi trucks. Starring Jackie Gleason, burt reynolds, Sally Fields, and Jerry Reed. Would love to have it on the channel.

The cup swap cracks me up everytime because it reminds me of a MMaa event in Brasil back in 1997 maybe. The Russian all shared the same cup. One would fight, the next would walk to the cage and he'd hand off the cup to the next guy. I guess there was a cup shortage in Russia back then. Lol

I thought that was funny but it got cut
The quarterback, the one that spits in the water with the lazy eye, and one of the 2 ugly fans with buck teeth and sideburns (makeup) are all Adam Sandler’s best friends in real life since youth. They always appear in Adam Sandler movies. And Allen Covert (the bucktooth fan Walter) even stars in his own Sandler-produced, R-rated stoner movie, Grandma’s Boy.
There’s also an episode of the Judd Apatow-produced TV show Undeclared, where Sandler makes an appearance as Adam Sandler - and all three friends are with him playing themselves. Judd Apatow and Sandler were roommates back in the day.
Sandler hired Winkler several times after this.
Sidenote: The other ugly fan that has the monologue about being ugly, is Ron Howard’s brother, Clint. So he and Winkler go way back.
The “You can do it” guy is part of Sandler’s SNL crew. He has some hit comedies too - Deuce Bigelow: Male Giggolo, and The Hot Chick. He also appears in most Sandler comedies.

Kathy Bates originally didn't want to do it, because she thought it wouldn't be a hit. Her niece found the script, recognized Adam Sandler, and convinced her to do it.

The coach in this movie is played by Henry Winkler, famous as "the Fonz" from the show Happy Days... he's in a lot of Sandler comedies but hasn't been in much else since his hey day in the 70s.

But how did you live on a farm in the 70’s and 80’s and not hear Jerry? Now that surprises me more. No Guitar Man, Amos Moses, She Got the Goldmine (I Got the Shaft), or When You’re Hot, You’re Hot? Waterboy is somewhere between the 2nd and 3rd categories.... it has its moments... though most of actually funny parts were in the trailer so the film was kind of a let-down if you saw that.

I never understood critics hating on this one. Sandler has made many, MANY infamously terrible movies, so why hate on him for this one? And sure it's low-brow, but it's not like that's not relatively true of what comedies THEY grew up with.

It's too bad you thought you needed subtitles for that coach nobody can understand and rushed to turn them on, because I noticed that they were left on and could see you reading the subtitles instead of watching the movie.

My favorite is when the guy say Deastlyildo... He's saying Dildo, it's a made up language... He says dildo..
