- The national anthem of the Malagasy Democratic Republic - also known as the Democratic Republic of Madagascar from its French name (République Démocratique de Madagascar) - a socialist state that existed on the island nation of Madagascar from 1975 to 1992. The anthem is widely known by its incipit "Ry, Tanindrazanay malala ô!", meaning "Oh, our beloved Fatherland!", though it is often translated from the French version as "Oh, beloved land of our ancestors!" (Ô, Chère Terre de nos ancêtres !). It has been used continuously since 1959, even before and after the existence of the Democratic Republic, but this particular recording was performed by the Malagasy People's Army in 1977.

Congratulations for your national holiday on 26th June Madagascar from your friends in Germany
Lots of people forget Madagascar was Communist but they where.
*Socialist.
@@harleyking88Still Communist
@@Vince_ExE no. There's a difference between those. No socialist experience has reached a communist society yet.
@@harleyking88 well you say that I see as communist because I come from a former communist country
@@Vince_ExE I'm afraid to tell you that you don't have a solid knowledge about that. THERE HAVE NEVER BEEN A COMMUNIST COUNTRY, and actually it couldn't even be a thing. Communist is a stateless system, apatriotic, with no national border. You probably came from a SOCIALIST country
This is surprisingly beautiful!
Long live Madagascar

This is indeed the the anthem during the socialist period of Madagascar but not only, created in 1958 during the independence, this hymn is not a communist anthem (even though the priest who wrote this was probably communist 😂). From the post colonial era to this day this hymn remain the national anthem of the Republic of Madagascar along with the old the Democratic republic of Madagascar and its predecessor the french puppet government of the malagasy republic.
Is that Teluguan sun flag at behind?
Like Anthem of Madagascar Socialist Republic
This is actually the anthem of the Democratic Republic of Madagascar
@@raistherais Actually that, but... БЛЯААААААТЬ!! БЛЯТЬ!!
Madagascar, And the Soviet Union are allies also, LONG LIVE MADAGASCAR AND USSR!

I like to move it, move it
Madagascar became a socialist state after King Julien, the last monarch of the Kingdom of Madagascar, was deposed in 1975
😆
lol
For a Marxist state, this anthem is certainly interesting because it has religious themes and it mentions God (Zanahary could be translated as the Creator, i.e. God). The lyrics itself was written by a Catholic priest.
One would expect them to have gone the route of the Hungarian People's Republic when keeping the same anthem in only performing the anthem instrumentally, but nope, it seems they sang the lyrics in full throughout the existence of the Democratic Republic.
Same for Somalia
Communist Madagascar Best Madagascar
The only 2 communist anthem to mention God (Zanahary), and Hungary (Isten).
