I post rare left-wing songs and music compilations.
Most songs I post have been digitised by me off of records from around the world that I've collected, though some are from more obscure parts of the internet, have been submitted by viewers, or are even original songs created for the channel. It is for this reason that I don't generally take requests, since if you've heard of it, it typically doesn't fall under the category of "rare". There are some exceptions, though, so if you think you've stumbled upon something truly rare (CZcams links will be ignored), feel free to message me on Twitter.
I post music from a wide variety of left ideologies, movements, or countries, so it would be pretty foolish to assume I agree with the ideology, movement, or country in any given video. I'm just an archivist, so try not to read too much into the songs I post. Just sit back and enjoy the music even if you disagree with it politically.

人民万岁 - Long Live the People (Chinese Communist Song)
A song by Zhang Guangtian, a prolific musician of the new left in China, to the tune of the "Battle Hymn of the Republic", a feature it shares with the song "Solidarity Forever". The title is a reference to Mao Zedong's response to a group of Red Guards chanting for him in 1966. In 1989, a group of protesters echoed this sort of call and answer by responding with "long live the people" when passersby chanted "long live the students". Zhang Guangtian's songs have been highly controversial and some of which have even been censored by the government for tacitly praising the Cultural Revolution and opposing Deng Xiaoping's reforms. Originally released in 1993, the original recording of this song was the B-side to "Give Me Strength, Mao Zedong", one such song which did get censored.

I don't suppport Tudeh Party, but song "Remember" is just wonderful! 😊 I yet didn't see so beautiful and touching song. Just brilliant! I love Socialism, but not Marxism and not Communism and Internationalism (Russian Soviet Communism was very bad and killed milions of people), I'm supporter and follower of People's Mojahedins from Maryam Rajavi. Capitalism is of course very bad system, people became bad, consumptionery, egoistic and they are so empty and shallow that even can't find yourself good candidate on husband. I'm disgusted of this. Socialism is something the most beautiful in the world, this is romanticism and idealism, I knew and I loved President martyr Saddam Hussein and President martyr Muammar Gaddafi and they were last romantics and idealists and my kindred souls who were murdered by USA and West and who gave his for their countries and nations. They were the best people in the world and altought I before loved Capitalism and I hated Islam, I converted to Sunni Islam from Christianity in October 2012 for my Hero Muammar Gaddafi and I also became Socialism. He was my master, he teached me all altought I didn't know him before war in Libya in 2011. I knew only Saddam Hussein in 2003 when I was 14 yet before American war in Iraq and I loved him all heart and soul as great anti-American and anti-Israeli Hero and my kindred soul (which I felt in him). Fantastic concept, praising the people instead of God really flips the song on its head and is so much more appropriate for the spirit of the song. But the lyrics in this one is not very good, too plain and too repetitive.
