This has to be one of their most powerful songs, and i can't love it enough.
This song literally makes me want to cry.. It reminds me a lot of explosions in the sky musically but with awesome vocals thrown in. Love you ALLB!
I thought Explosions in the Sky when I heard it too! Immediately became my favorite.
It's not music I relate to, but the tone is definitely satisfying. I love these vocals too, and the sound is just euphoric! ALLB!!!

Was my favorite the moment I heard the album and after further reading along, it's only solidified my favoritism. Man, when I first heard it was a concept album I remember thinking "how can they make a song FEEL like a room, not just write relate-able lyrics?" Well, now I know. Can't get enough of this. Hope to see you sometime soon.
Lyrically this is their best album by far, and I might even argue musically as well. But comparison is for those who don't know how to just sit back an enjoy music.

This song suits Kurt's voice well but overall this band could be better w/ a different vocalist. Regardless, their lyrics are deep and intense and IMO, the best thing about the band. This is coming from someone who generally doesn't care about lyrics also. Fantastic writing, fantastic arrangements. Good band,
As for the argument of who is better, Craig or Travis. I choose Travis, because unlike Craig, he hasn't destroyed his voice with drugs. Jonny is a good singer, but no where near as good as he used to be. Even if you think he sounds better than Kurt currently (after the drug abuse), knowing that there's a better version of him recorded somewhere makes everything new that he records extremely disappointing (much like Anthony Green, although he kinda just lost the edginess of his voice). Plus, A Lot Like Birds isn't just Kurt, so whatever you might find lacking in his voice is supported by the talents of everyone else. He chose this band because he actually wanted to be in a band, not a bunch of guys playing instruments with a quarter of their fans only knowing the name of the lead vocalist. That's the end of my rant.
But Anthony Green's stuff is still good
