I had a Italian greyhound once upon a time, her name was apache, she was the love of life, it was very difficult to let go of her!! She is buried in my pet cemetery

I am picking up Neville next week. He is an Italian greyhound whippet cross. I have never had a dog before and it has taken me 3 years to decide which breed etc. Neville is blue with bright blue eyes I am so excited to be honest I put less thought into having my children haha. Have loved your videos with Nello and all your advice etc. Wish me luck ! X

I once had an Italian greyhound it would snuggle with a person or build the highest tower of blankets possible. And I swear that dog could sustain up to 1000 degrees.

I would love an Italian greyhound! My dentist had one and she would bring her to her office and Santos would sit on our lap while we were being worked on. I loved it.

How sweet!! I have an IG he's the sweetest. He is going blind unfortunately. A friend gave him to us. He does well considering his limitations. I must say this breed is amazing. Love your videos.

We both work outside of home so Chewy usually hangs out with his brother from another mother, a CHI who happens to be super sweet, and our cat. He has to be under a blanket. He's walked and fed by his hooman brother til we get home. He loves toys and often will make alot of noise almost aggressive toward them. 😆 Then he is full on attention from us for the rest of eve and yes he sleeps in our bed curled up next to me. Pretty sweet life I'd say. Love your IG and your videos. ❤

My Italian greyhound, Maximus, lived 18 years. Its amazing how similar they are to each other. Amazing dogs; would like to own one again in the future.

@@thelifeofnello they can easily live from 16 to 20 yrs old. I know a woman who lived in Waikiki and hers lived to 21 yrs old!
My IG also climbs inside my shirts with head out the neck to snuggle and keep warm!

My daughter thinks about getting a "windspiel" herself, but we are not a fan of this idea because we already have a whippet......alltough i think this would be a lovely sight.
Absolutely! All sighthounds have lots of similarities and of course they have their differences too. But an Italian Greyhound and a Whippet can be a great match
Oh my gosh!!! I love him so much! May I ask where you live to be so able to walk him without a leash? As well as around your apartment buildings? I too live in such a place and I've found there aren't too many places where people are ok with this, these days in the US. He's gorgeous!

Where can you find one? I want one in the future but not rich can’t afford a lot of money. But I love them.
Do u only have her offleash in some areas? I live in a city and near a park but i get nervous about cars with my puppy but also trying some off leash training
Of course - I only let him off leash in safe areas where there are no cars nearby. Even if recall is good, I would never trust him this much. Safety first! By the way we have a video on recall training too ✨

Where do you get your clothes for Nello? We have a dog with a similar build, but a bit taller, and we can't seem to find anything that fits him.

Try baby clothes from the local Goodwill store. Look for 6 mos. old size (usually fits) and they cheap. And they have good selection usually.

I don’t know, I guess every dog is different. Nello is fine with taking the stairs ☺️

It looks like your in Germany, in the USA there is a new company called “the farmers dog” basically they make real fresh food, and the results are nothing short of amazing the dogs go nuts at feeding time they drop tons of weight there allergies clear up, there coats start shining, they are full of energy. If dog food smells bad to us can you imagine what it smells like to them, dogs can track a human 24 hours later by the skin we shed ! So I ask again what do you think that meat waste and rotten vegetables cooked at high temperature then put in. A can or pressed into a pellet? I can’t believe they eat it
Adorable. A pet store said whippets can go for $9,000 in Australia. I have no chance of owning one here if thats true. And there is no rescue foundation for Italian greyhounds here in Sydney. Contact me if thats not true, cos I really need a whippet or an iggy.

Depends on the dog 😅 Nello is definitely a momma‘s boy but he loves his dad too 🥰😜
They tend to bond with who ever feeds them. So if you both feed them, they will bond with both of you. If only the husband feeds them, they will prefer him over her.
Is that a Whippet? How are they with separation? Had a friend who had a couple and they had really bad separation anxiety
He‘s an Italian Greyhound - but they are probably even worse with separation than whippets 😬

@@thelifeofnello My breed has been the Doberman. When purchasing from a reputable breeder it is required to sign that your new puppy be neutered so that they will not be bred. Is that not necessary when buying from a reputable Italian Greyhound breeder? Or did you not buy Nello from a breeder? I'm very interested in the breed. Thanks for your help.
@@kathryndamron3238 it probably depends on the country as regulations differ. Here in Germany I have never heard of such thing. And if I wanted to breed Nello, Nello‘s breeder would be proud of him. It’s my dog and my decision 😊

TERRIBLE idea to not have him leashed. These dogs can run up to 25MPH with a high prey drive. If he sees a rabbit and runs you are NOT catching him. Please protect your dog.
