IMPORTANT NOTE: We are aware that according to the UK Highway Code, it is the driver’s responsibility to “Make sure dogs or other animals are suitably restrained so they cannot distract you while you are driving or injure you, or themselves if you stop quickly.”
We fully intend that all future journeys will be with a suitable restraint for Bluebell that complies with the Highway Code and the UK law. On this journey, we made sure someone was in the back with her at all times to restrain her, we took regular stops and made sure Bluebell was not distressed in any way and not pose any risk to the driver.

She’s beautiful! I just lost my italian greyhound Dante to cancer. He was 16 years 4 months. He acted just like a puppy his entire life. I hope you get as much love and joy from Bluebell as I did from my Dante.

Recommendation: When traveling with a new puppy in a car, stop every 30 minutes or so to let them use the restroom in grassy areas, etc. This will imprint them early-on on where to use the bathroom (not in the car or indoors).
Girl she wants to cuddle in you body she feels more comfortable hearing your heart to sleep she very stressed first time everything & leaving her Mommy too I have A Italian greyhound puppy too we have to be so careful with their jumping the puppy is adorable 🥰

Right now she is shivering from nervousness. The rest of her life she will be shivering and and under the covers for warmth.
I’ve had Iggy’s for years. Invest in sweaters and a hideaway bed (often sold for cats) where they can crawl in and cover themselves.

Oh, and you have to brush this dog breed’s teeth at least every other day. Cute as button, horrible teeth genetics wise. If you don’t, you will be paying for professional cleanings and teeth pulling. These dogs often live forever. Biggest mistake I made was not taking care of my first Iggy’s teeth.

She was shivering cuz she was cold. I know it was probably spring, but u should've gotten her a coat. - Damn those eyes... melts me every time.
YES!! I was thinking this all along in the video!! I used to have greyhounds, the big ones, and worked in the veterinary profession (nurse). A greyhound - even Italian - should have a coat or jammies if she is cold. The rule outside (or in the car) is that if YOU need a coat, SHE needs a coat. This is because greyhounds of all types (including whippets) have very, very little body fat. This makes them highly sensitive to both cold and heat (very hot weather is dangerous). It's easy to buy great little coats. There are entire online shops. Get a raincoat, a winter coat, a jacket, and some pairs of pajamas for the house.
Ah, so adorable. Brings back memories when my Igy boy was a little puppy. He recently turned 1. He's still high energy, but his nap time is a lot longer. Helps a lot that I have another dog he can play with to unleash the energy

By the way I was driven mad trying to create train my Italian. I had her like 16 or 18 months and stuck the the rules but nothing ever changed so if u get an IG, here's what did it for me. I had a work trip and left her with my parents for the weekend. She went to squat and pee and the other two dogs there ran up and stopped her and shepherded her out the doggie door and explained to her, "we only do that out here!" Literally that was it. It's been 15 or 16 years now and she means more to me than anything else on earth and from that incident till now, even though she is very old and has cancer, not once has she ever had another accident. It was so simple I wish I had known to try leaving her for a day with behaved grown up dogs since they did in one dressing down what I couldnt make any progress on in 18 months.

Clenching my teeth as the pup runs on the tile floor 😬. Possible to have a leg break. So glad she transitioned well.
Oh God, mine two times was so excited she ran out my bedroom and launched herself from the top step not considering the fall and my Lord have mercy I just about died both times but luckily she was totally fine upon landing and she grew out of that reckless behavior after she spent a few more days at the house using the stairs but if anyone has an iggy puppy, till you walk it up n down enough times or even just till its say, 2 years old, u should baby gate the stairs but of course u will need to add cardboard on top since it will just take a running start and jump worse that it would have to begin with. They're such perfect loving beings that it's just not worth chancing it. One knocknfeom a mailman can end their lives if they rush from above down below.
