  • This is the second of 2 videos that completes a look at the tools I keep in my main tool bag. I have done a lot of serious renovation work, including building my own house. Over the years, I have put together a set of tools that fits in one bag and is sufficient to equip me for the majority of tasks. I rarely have to run out to the truck, or visit the shop, to find a tool that I didn't have on hand.

Great video. The only tools I did not see are blumbing: tubing cutter, puller for faucet handles, faucet seats wrench...
Check out Lenox tubing cutters, nice piece of engineering. Cheers.

+5acesdown Odd I never noticed that before. I do have a tubing cutter but there was a time, probably about then, that I had to replace mine and had a hard time finding one. I will check out the Lenox ones. Thanks. I don't use faucet handle pullers and faucet set wrenches. I assume those are for older sinks? Around here, most faucets are too new, too crappy, and we just replace the whole thing - unfortunately.

+inthewoodshop Actually, some faucets still uses brass seats on which the rubber seal sits to shot the water when the faucet in closed. Dirty or corroded seat is one reason your faucet leaks and can only be cleaned or changed by removing the faucet handle and valve assembly. A puller could be necessary to remove the handle.
You're right about the crapy faucets these days where it's better replacing the all unit.

Thank you. It wasn't always the case. 30 years of trial and error has paid off.
