Have you ever heard of Ursynów? They say that this enchanting district, located in the south of Warsaw (Poland), is a true gem that can be considered as an example of 15-minute city! In Poland, like in the rest of Europe, the 15-minute city concept has sparked a vibrant debate in Europe, reimagining urban living by promoting self-sufficiency within a quarter-hour radius. Let’s explore together Ursynów's green spaces and dynamic lifestyle, where everything you need is just a short bike ride or walk away in a philosophy based on promoting local and sustainable living.

I lived in Poland for 7 months and went to a decent amount of areas in Warszawa but not this far out, will definitely have to check it out when I'm next over there. Warszawa to me already had many modes of transport, so much so I didn't even go on the Metro once as you had tram/train/bike/scooter/bus which were very accessible across many places. I miss it.

I used to live in Warsaw for 8 years, and many of my friends reside in Ursynow. I was a frequent visitor to the neighborhood. The ongoing issues include a high car density, two (or four, depending on what’s counted) highways, numerous street roads with 3-4 lanes, a weak design of bike infrastructure, and parking areas scattered everywhere. While this list may not directly relate to the concept of a 15-minute city, the ease of movement within the area is crucial. Will it evolve into a 15-minute city, or will it remain a standard part of the city, henceforth referred to as a “15-minute city” - I don’t know.
