I love Frederic Malle. I'm new here and this is the first video I'm watching but if you havent tried Iris Poudre you should, just based on what you're mentioning here. Also, orange blossom is very similar to neroli in a lot of ways, orange blossom tends to be a lot sweeter and warmer than neroli. I usually prefer orange blossoms in my fregrances in the summer because of the warmth it oozes and I love neroli in the fall when it's crisp and cooler :)
i wasn't a floral fan either but your right about carnal flower...its absolutely lovely!
How anyone can hate Musc Ravageour is beyond me. I fell in love with it at first smell. I bought the 100ml. It’s one of my top 3 from this house.
I gotta be honest, I remember I bought a 5ml sample of the vintage Musc Ravageur and I swear to you, I couldn’t stand it. The civet note combined with the citrus and the clove notes was not for the faint of heart. I mean truth be told my nose wasn’t developed like it is today. However, I ordered another 10ml of MR and this time I felt it was tame and gorgeous. I bought a 100ml right away as well.

I loved your birthday haul video and I too am a big fan of Demi Rawlings page, I blind bought Lancôme Tresor la nuit because of Demi took just the plastic wrapping off and the fragrance came thru the box, you should definitely sniff that one if it’s not already in your collection, LOVE YOUR HAIR💖💖💖

Are musc ravageur and portrait of lady good to wear for casual with jeans and hoodies ?
Portrait of a lady definitely evening, the other I didn’t really like but I’m one of those fragrance lover’s that believes wear your fragrance when you want 🥰

Great review! Like you said, one spray or two at the most of POAL is the trick...the opening is offensively strong but allow just a few minutes for this masterpiece to really introduce itself.
Wow I have heard by so many reviewers, I will be sure to do one spray. Is there a certain area you recomned, I am thinking around lower neck.

Subscribed! Orange blossom and neroli are both extracted from the same blossom I think but slightly different so it could be why you pick up neroli. I think orange blossom is a tad sweeter. Trying to remember. I like Portrait too in the dry down stage:)
Great review FYI Neroli and orange blossom are extracted from the same tree so it’s the orange blossom that you are noticing but Carnal Flower is A-amazing I get so many compliments and has longevity for hours and great sillage 😊
I bought the 10 ml of Carnal Flower. It is nice but it smells like some other perfumes that I have smelled in my day and not really unique. I bought it based on the hype and will wear it though.

LOL, I read the same article, ran out to get the fragrance, and, like you, I got so many compliments, mainly men. I generally wear Portrait of a Lady at night because someone complained to my supervisor that it was too strong, and I only strayed a quick spritz. So I had to stop wearing it, so now I have a signature day and night fragrance.
People complain about Portrait of a Lady not being a modern rose, but modern rose isn't even rose anymore. It's either a sweet jam rose or super clean, but POAL is the real thing.
TF Soleil Blanc and Carnal Flower both share tuberose and coconut! Good nose! I definitely found that making that comparison when I first smelled CF too!
You are getting the neroli vibe from the orange blossom.

I am the same for deciding daily scents to wear.
Frederic Malle is one of my favorite houses, and I can’t just pick 3. I so far own about 10. Each one is so beautiful. I had Une Rose. But a friend begged me to sell it to her and she said she doesn’t care how much I charge her. I told her just buy a new one at the store. She said she wanted my bottle coz it’s older and has time to get stronger. She’s right. The newer bottles are weaker. I really regret selling my bottle. I sold her a few other Niche bottles as well. I regret selling those as well. I told her leave me alone, I’m not selling any more of my collection. Btw I also love Musc Ravageour, I have the huge bottle . And of course POAL. Have you tried Eau de Magnolia, it’s so pretty an oh my goodness En Passant is one of my favorite from Malle. I ordered En Passant from Saks.com and they sent me Une Rose by mistake and I called to complain and the woman said “ just keep it and we will send u the En Passant” I was like ok sounds great. So that’s how I ended up with both. I didn’t like Une Rose at first but as it sat and aged a few months, it became a beautiful perfume that is definitely a wonderful addition to my collection and free is the best price :)

These parfumes require a bit of training of your smell palate for sure. Some people think that they stink. Their sense of smell hadn’t developed yet.
Some people said that about un Fleur de cassie.
@@savvyguy4180 une fleur de cassie is one I have actually become more sensitive to over time. and in general that's the case with some things, I used to blast all kinds of heavy stuff now Im less inclined. UFDC is one of their more challenging ones IMO, perhaps their most challenging, there's pretty florals etc in it but those notes + certain musk and perhaps cumin and clove make it smell a bit like body odor or as some have said: greenhouse (which includes the green, the floral, and the manure/fertilizer). POAL, carnal flower and even musc ravageur is pretty clean in comparison. POAL + UFDC are their masterpiece floral fragrances IMO.
Neroli end orange blossom are the same thing 😊
Great choices. POAL is certainly unisex. Sadly FM still seem to be marketing towards women (they don't watch youtube do they?)
I think that they need to create a different one for en and call it Portrait of a Man. People shy away from unisex fragrances because a feminine woman doesn’t want to smell like a man and masculine men don’t want to smell like women.
POAL was formulated by starting with the formula of Geranium pour homme but they took it in a hugely new direction with the rose. Maybe they think of geranium as already being the masculine version, but I agree POAL is for everyone.
Wow, I wish I liked it. Sampled portrait of a lady this weekend and soo disappointed. Not what I expected. old lady like fragrance on me. Def not a modern rose. Not blind buy quality at all. Fell in love with eau de magnolia instead.
Johanna Perez FM has some great perfumes, you just have to find what you like. My motto is to always try before you buy. You may or may not like what someone else likes & everyone’s chemistry is different. Glad you found something you liked. 😁

I went to federick mall counter at saks tp purchase vetiver extraordinaire after saving for almost 3 months but end up purchasing carnal flower the smell was just too intoxicating i had to have it...to me there is nothing flowery about this perfume the only thing they got right is the name carnal and even tho its unisex i think it leans just a tad bit masculine

Hi. I have a lot of great fragrances. So, I mainly wore this one on night outs. Also, it’s a beast, so I only needed 1 or 2 sprays.

Yes, but it’s a beast. Very strong. Best to wear in cold months.
