About Shankarcharya Temple in Srinagar, Kashmir
Dedicated to Lord Shiva, Shankarcharya Temple is amongst the top religious attractions in Srinagar. It is named after the great philosopher Shankarcharya, who once visited Kashmir. The Hindu temple enjoys a strategic location from where devotees and tourists can see a panoramic view of Srinagar City.
The temple which is also known as Jyeshteshwara Temple, is accessible by a staircase of 243 steps and is visited by a large number of Hindu devotees during the Amarnath Yatra season.
ZESTA DEVI TEMPLE :
Legend says that king gopaditya built the shrine in the 6 th century and king lalitaditya renovated it in 8th century. stories relate it to ashoka or even the pandavas from the mahabharat. Zeshta devi shrine or zeathyar is hindu shrine located in the Union Territory of jammu and kashmir. It is situated at the zabarwan hills, very beautiful and serene place. Piligrims all over the world come to visit and pay obisience at the pious feet of Jeshta mata. One can easily feel the peace and divine blessings by offering prayers and spending some time in meditation. Very important symbol of hindu culture in kashmir valley. Also known as Zethyar..the zyeshta temple is at the upper end of Gupkar road almost in a forested landpatch. The locale also affords the splendid view of dal lake from the top. As we come down the hill we can see Shankracharya temple in full view and pari mahal on its left. The drive upto the temple is an experience of responding to the zeshta devi’s divine call for blessings. The beautiful Temple premises offer the rooms fully equipped with hot and cold water supply, kitchen with utensils, beddings, gas stove, gas cylinders and facility to cook ones own food. To enjoy the snow capped beauty of Zabarwan and offer prayers in the temple in quiet and spiritual presence of Zhesta mata is an experience of lifetime.

The temple introduced as Zeshta Devo temple after crossing Kathi Darwaza is actually HARI PARBAT TEMPLE, ABODE OF MATA SHARIKA. pls don't rely on local guides, all the locals have already distorted the history. Zeshta Devi temple is near Rajbhawan, under the feet of Zabarwan Hills.

Mata Vitasta Devi Mandir is dedicated to the river Vitasta which Muslims call Jhelam. This temple is Shakira Mata Mandir at the top of Hill Hari Parvat. The Hari comes from Shari. Shari means parrot.
Sharika Mata.
Sharika means Myna, not parrot. The myna killed the demon with a pebble which is now in form of this stone atop the hill.

I belong to Verinag and there are famous temples 1.Verinag Spring (Neelnag , it is origin of Vitasta/Viethh river) 2. Vitasta Temle and 3. Omuh temple...all three are just 2kms from Jawahir Tunnel so if possible can you please show those temples.

Similarly In Puri Jagganath temple, No one except Hindu can enter the temple.even Foreign Hindus have to take permission.this rule is very long last.becoz most of the famous North India Temples were vandalised during Mughal era, but one and only one Puri Temple was Saved From Barbarians in the whole era.that's the reason.

But this rule should be scrapped i am also not in the favour becoz a large no. Of Foreign Devotee also come in puri as everyone has different thinking,& thought process.
And now i think this is not taken seriously and everyone is allowed.

Lord Parashuram is considered as the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It is famous for them that they destroyed the then tyrannical and autocratic Kshatriyas 21 times. But do you know why Lord Parashuram did this? This gives an interesting mythology -
The King of the city of Mahishmati was the son of King Kartaviry and Rani Kaushik, of the Haiyya dynasty of the Sahastrajun Kshatriya society.
The real name of Sahastrajun was Arjuna. He made great penance to please Dattatreya. Dattatreya was pleased with his penance and asked him to ask for a boon, so he received 10,000 blessings from Dattatreya. After this, his name was Sahastrajun from Arjuna. It is also called Kartairavir because it is the son of King Swaminarayan and King Kartwarya.
It is said that Mahishmati king Sahastrajun had stalled all pride in his pride. People were stricken with its atrocities and incest.

Some Right Hindus accuse non Hindus of being communal and violent. Claims that only they are peaceful and most tolerant community in the world. Ironically these lines are said by them after hurling couple of abuses at other religions. Let’s have a look at communal violence perpetrated by Hindus. I am not talking about history which tells tale about bloodshed of Jains, Buddhists and indigenous groups in India by9 Hindus, But this deals with their deeds since Independence of India. It is impossible to post all communal violence as there were total 644 communal incidents in India in 2014 alone, 789 communal riots in 2015, 869 communal riots in 2016 and 723 communal riots in 2017 as per NCRB, so I will highlight only few cases. There are 6.6% Hindus in UAE, 13.8% in Qatar, 1.6% in Indonesia and 6.3% in Malaysia but in none of these countries we hear that there was a communal clash between Hindus and Muslims. It happens in India alone because Hindus are in majority. Before talking about persecution of minorities by Hindu extremists let’s have a look at intolerance within the Hindu community.
