This was our 6th day in Kashmir. The video was shot on 22nd April, where we explored local Srinagar.
The city is famous for its gardens, lakes and houseboats. It is also the largest city and the capital of Jammu and Kashmir.
Hotel - We got our accommodation booked at Hotel Heemal which is a JKTDC property.
Tariff for the hotel was Rs 4000+tax12%
After this we booked a houseboat from Club Mahindra.
Tariff - Rs 4100.
Vishal Vaishno Dhaba - We had breakfast here.
Aloo Paratha - Rs 45
After this we went to Dal Lake and put our luggage in our houseboat.
Shri Shankaracharya Temple - It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is at a height of 1,000 feet above the valley floor and overlooks the city of Srinagar. It's the oldest temple and a popular pilgrim in Kashmir.
Hazratbal Shrine - According to local beliefs, it houses Moi-e-Muqqadas - the sacred hair of Prophet Muhammad's beard. It is located at the backside of Dal Lake.
At night we had Tujj near Dal Lake and then went to our houseboat and had dinner there. Then our day ended.

Great to see familiar spots with your camera work and commentary. Brilliant views from Shankaracharya Temple, and the Tapasya Sthal was an added bonus. I have been to Hazrat Bal --- such a beautiful place --- also had those huge parathas, halwa and kamal kakri near the shrine while returning back. Also had kababs at Makai Point but not at Rafique's --- I think his cart is near the Zabarwan Park...next time जाना पड़ेगा. Thanks for rekindling my memories.👍👍👌👌

View point entire Srininagar city was absolutely beautiful. If you could able to show us the Srinagar city inside it would be great experience. Most of the time Dallake and only tourist attractions but city tour and city hotel food would be more traditional. Also please let us know the cost of the food.

I was at dal lake in last July. TBH I didn't like staying in a houseboat. After renting a houseboat I felt like getting stuck on it. I had to pay for the boat ride each time when I have to go to the market and when I have back to the houseboat. Better choice .. rent a hotel room.

Shankaracharya ke seediyon ke entry par saare cams, cell phns etc rok lete the. Parisar main bhi kabhi photography allow nahi karte the Indian Army. Good to see you could take videos around the mandir. Welcome change.

This is a welcome change really. Even in 2021, when I went to Shankaracharya mandir, we were asked to enter Metal detectors and even my Cross metalic pen was deposited by Army. Now a days we get hidden pencamera also.. Maybe next time when I go there, can take a video through my cell phn.. Thanks..
