- Kheer Bhawani is a temple dedicated to the Goddess of Kheer Bhawani also known as Maharshi’s Devi,Ragnya Devi,Rajni,Ragnya Bhagwati & so on. It is situated in the east of Srinagar at distance of 32 kms from Srinagar airport.

Excellent information on Kheer Bhawani, effectively articulated by D(h)ar & Dar. By watching this video, I am tempted to visit Sheer Bhawani. My request is to also cover other religious places of Srinagar with historical information & significance with experts like Ashok Dhar.
Revived my childhood memory of having visited this holy place with my parents almost 50 years ago. Kashmir actually has been a land of diversity but bound by the true spirit of kashmiriyat so beautifully brought out by Ashoka’s book ‘Kashmir As I see it’

These are various names of the same mata...go to the internet or else buy a book afresh on the subject.I as a Muslim was also taken aback.We did not coin this word,it is already there.
