Absolutely genius using a syringe to apply the glue!! Subscribed just for that alone!!
Much appreciated! 😁🙏
@@dnadesignn using small paint brush better?
what kinda glue?
Very helpful video. Thank you!
Thank you for reminding me to reduce the length by the thickness of the material! Very helpful video!
No problem! Glad to be of help 😊
@Truth n Logic that's about right, yes if it's not flat, the chances of it detaching is higher. You should buy the acrylics already with the desired size so that you don't have to cut anymore, usually the shops use laser to cut the acrylic sheets.
I love the perfection. Great work 👏
Thank you! 😊
Very very good video !!! Thank you Mr.
You are very welcome, sir!
you made cutting acrylic look easy
Yup. It's not that easy. At least 15 scores or more to get it to snap...and that's the really thin acrylic.
Great video thanks
pleasure is mine! 😁
This is so appreciated. I just built a 1/24 scale miniature house kit that came with dust cover that I have to assemble. They sent the wrong size for the side pieces. I have to cut them and wasn't sure how to do that, without ruining the acrylic. Thank you for sharing.
Pleasure is mine! Hope all went well with your miniature house's acrylic covers!
@@dnadesignn It worked just like you showed it would. Now if only my gluing acrylic skill was better... :)
This will be very useful videos as I have recently completed a diorama of a model railway scene and would like to protect it. The acrylic seems to be quite expensive but I will go for it.
Thanks for sharing 👍
It's pretty cheap on Amazon
👍👍
Thanks
So glad I found this video. Thank you for the detailed tutorial, can I use acrylic glue to bond acrylic sheet to glass?
No you can't. Acrylic glue only bonds acrylic to acrylic
is your syringe one-time use only because of that glue, or you can use it multiple times?
great video 👌 one question: what is the name of the glue that you use?
What is the liquid that you’re using to adhere these pieces together?
Its plastic cement. A clear liquid that "welds" the two pieces of acrylic together rather than gluing. The cement slightly melts the two pieces together and then evaporates. Just search for "plastic cement" or "acrylic cement".
cyanoacrylate 743
Unicorn piss
Excellent demonstration. Where do you buy the clear plastic hinges?
Thanks a lot! Those are acrylic hinges and I bought them from the same that sells the acrylic sheets.
Great video, very helpful.
What mm acrylic did you use?
that's 2 mm thick
What kind of glue was that and where can I get it
Hi, thanks for such detailed tutorial! May I ask if it's possible to make a box using a 0.8 millimeters thick a acrylic?
No problem! I don't think it's possible, I usually use 2mm for 15cm to 20cm, any larger than that I prefer 3mm. Maybe you can use 0.8mm for very tiny enclosures like 4cm by 4cm.
@@dnadesignn Oh, got it! Thanks, that's very good to know. May I know what glue you use?
@@TLOH7 that's called acrylic glue
What glue are you using?
Hey I am following your tutorial for some months and I have a question. How do you remove the glue staines from the acrylic surfaces. I make many staines 😅
If you use acrylic glue I'm afraid you can't remove the strain because it basically melts the acrylic's surface to put 2 pieces together. If you use other glue that causes strains, maybe try using kerosene 👍
@@dnadesignn i am using the exact glurle you are using, so I think it is acrylic. But, I will try kerosene anyway. Thanks😄😄
@@amaliasa11191 The only way you can remove stains is by sanding the acrylic with very fine grade sandpaper and then polish using a polishing cloth. Good luck!
What grit sand paper? How to cut larger sheets?
Hi where can I get the hinges from?
ano po glue gamit mo po at ung pang gril nyo po sa butas ano po twag sir??? Pls reply
where could i get those materials?
What kind of glue did you use
Do you know what gauge the needle is?
Leaning it against a solid surface like that can cause the adhesive to bleed out and ruin the outside of the box
Baby Molding things ku glass kedaikuma oreder pana send panuvingla ithe box pola
Can i drill and put screw in it bro?? It's ok if it's a mess in the inside, i will wrap with with carbon paper in the outside.
I think you need thicker acrylics for that 👍
What glue type is that
Do you think it would hold water-before the holes?
If you glued all the parts perfectly, then yes, it can hold water.
What kind of glue do you recommend?
Acrylic glue for acrylics, silicone for glass 👍
What exact model and where did you buy, the knife, glue, and plexiglass?
The glue is a special glue, it's an acrylic adhesive and is usually called acrylic glue, it fuses both surfaces and not glueing. The knife is called acrylic hook knife/cutter. I bought them online. Hope that helps 😁
You can use any utility knife to cut. No special knife/blade needed. CA glue can be used as well as model glue. The 'model glue' disolves the surface of the acrylic pieces and then that acrylic then hardens like an epoxy for the 'welding' of the pieces. CA glue (superglue) works slightly different but will attatch the 2 pieces just the same. CA glue can be cleaned up with acetone, and can be purchased with the precision tips that you would want to clean up after use or between uses with prolonged times between. CA glue has kinda harsh fumes but they are relatively harmless healthwise, and will give a chemical reaction with paper towels so you would want to be careful in that sense.
can you tell me what kind of glue you used? thanks in advance
hello Sir! what is the glue that you used to bond the plates? Thanks!
The glue is a special glue, it's an acrylic adhesive and is usually called acrylic glue, it fuses both surfaces and not glueing.
@@dnadesignn Is it chloroform ? If not, can chloroform be used as adhesive to join acrylic sheets
hi I have some questions and need some advice for a project I'm trying to start. is there a way I can message you to show you what I'm making and get some help?
Hey! Yeah, you can try DM-ing my Instagram account if you still need help and I will see you there! Sorry for the late reply.
What grit and type of sandpaper works well?
500 grit is good, the smoother the surfaces the better for the glue to stick both surfaces.
Nice. Only... you didn't show us the finished product (hopefully with the new residents inside) 😉
What drill is that and where u buy them?
I think that's called a nail drill, it's available at online shops, but you'll have to buy the drill bits seperately.
i always though the glue goes onto the contact areas. 😅
it work with any acrylic sheet right?
Yes it does!
Where should I get ready-made box size 17 x 71 inch
17x17 inch
Sorry I don't sell the enclosure, I just show people how to make one 😊
What is name of solution
But where do you buy the glass?
That's acrylic, not glass. I'm sure there"s a shop somewhere near you that sells acrylic. 🤔
How thick should the acrylic be for a 12inx12inx8in (LxWxH)?
At least 3mm 👍
@@dnadesignn Thanks!!
@@bboyven no problem!
Hi can i use glass glue?
I don't have experience on that so I'm afraid I can't answer your question, sorry. But you can use super glue, as far as I know.
Hello. What kind of glue did you use?
I use acrylic glue that I bought near where I live and there's not much information on the bottle. You can also use solvent based glue like 'weld on 4' which is available on amazon.
@@dnadesignn Thank you so much! Cool vid btw
@@natanaga9892 My pleasure. Thankss!
@@dnadesignn can I use cyanoacrylate adhesive ?
@@dt_vegajoseemmanuel1734 is that superglue? I think you can use superglue, but I have never used that on acrylics. Maybe give it a try first on unused sheets 👍
Sorry 17x17 inch
Is that chloroform😮
guys remember to remove the protection film first 😅
A very useful reminder! 🤣
The easiest way to get the job done is...?
Tiresome music 🎵
The measurements are throwing me a little, could you give me the measurements for a 30x30x30cm enclosure?
Glue name
Sorry for the late reply!! It's called "acrylic adhesive" or "acrylic glue"
you are barely hearable over the music. You need to both turn the music down and your audio up.
Got it! Thanks
This video could be half as long…
Loud music
Sorry 😭, will turn it down for my future videos.
Next time make your voice louder then the music...
Sure thing! Thanks for the suggestion :)
@@dnadesignn yessir
Please turn off the music and buy a microphone
I will surely fix that for my future videos! I appreciate the advice.
Hey buddy ,.............. lower the background music , and up youre voice . I,m not watching to listen to BLOODY MUSIC
Sorry 😂 will do next time!
@@dnadesignn music was alright but how would you hold the angles at 90 with heavier plexi?
@@badmotherhumper I think you can use duct tapes
Just Because you CAN add music, doesn't mean you should. It was very distracting.
