    Step by step process on how to change the oil in the supercharger of a Mercedes w 203 with M 111 engine . This service is not requiered by the owner's manual but it's a good mainatanence to do in order to keep the bearings on top condition for a longer period . I used Eaton supercharger fluid and mostly common tools to do this job .

    From this video I now understand why my on-the-dashboard OBD2 shows 15g/second of MAF reading at 1200rpm instead of not more than 9g/second. It is now clear to me that on early morning 1st engine start up, the portion of air that is injected into the exhaust manifold is about 6 to 7g/second. Later I put a small pressure gauge and it shows +3psi of air pressure is made, at upstream the throttle body, for the 1st 45 seconds. When engine is hot steady at 750rpm and at -7.3psi the MAF is not more than 5g/second in park mode. Thanks

    Thanks v much for another very informative and helpful vid, got this job finished off today :)
    One thing I'd mention, I'm pretty sure the drain bolt for the SC is actually a TORX, not a hex. I did the exact same as you, tried a hex and rounded it out....and it's hard to see the grooves after it's rounded...but they've used a v similar bolt head inside SC as well for the silencer and that's where I was able to get a good view. It looks like a hex but the Torx got it off far cleaner.
    Should add I'm working on an SLK though, but same engine...oddly (thankfully) mine doesn't have a C clip either, just a normal hose clamp.

      @@doit_vehicles I actually just gave it another view and you correctly named it as a T30, I'm not sure where I got hex from...probably the look of the bolt after it had rounded, and it was a hex I tried (which also rounded it)

    I have my car up for sale, I’ve not had any issues with the car as it drives perfect have never noticed any funny noises from the engine, I had someone come and view it yesterday and they got me to start it up so they could hear they engine, they pointed out a whining noise and said that the turbo was gone, I did hear the noise but the noise went away after a few minutes of cold start up.
    I just went out this morning to check it again and I put a timer on it, the whining went away after 2 mins of a cold start up, I turned the car off and restarted it straight away and the whining was there again but disappeared again after 2 minutes, it was like the noise just cut off rather than faded away.
    Is this normal or do you think the turbo needs replacing?
    The car has full power and very responsive.
    I also should mention that I don’t really drive the car much but I do start it up from time to time and drive locally.
    Any help would be much appreciated.

I have to tackle all of the jobs you have filmed so far, as I don’t know what was done on the car before I bought it. My priority is to locate the exhaust leak though...it’s very noisy, especially when cold. Likely a cracked manifold.

    if you swap 200’s sc or at least the sc snout with a 230’s (they have grey pulley) you can enjoy 35hp extra power. no remap needed just dont forget to swap the tensioner pulley on the same belt as well. it will rise boost 0,15 bar approx.

      I know it's possible to bring this c200 from 163 hp to 210 hp by reprograming the ECU and smaller pulley ..

      doit_vehicles 2.3 with m45 makes 197hp and 280nm stock (on r170 at least). on 2.0 with sc mod I made 190hp and 260nm on the dyno. + 10hp more after ecu remap. check vids from ndrmini he reached 222hp with these mods + headers on a 2.0 c200. m111 is bullet proof.

    • @doit_vehicles

      Hy there ! I have not done this service yet since mine still sounds good , but I will make a video in the future ! You can double check if the noise comes from the supercharger and not from some other pulleys ; so with the engine off , remove the supercharger / alternator belt - spin the pulleys an check for noises . Depending of how bad is it you might have to replace the unit with a rebuild or new one since it can cost almost the same as replacing all the bearings on it .

      @doit_vehicles  Před 5 lety +1

      There are no official Mercedes bearings for sale since this kompressor it's theoretically "sealed for life " . However there are aftermarket bearings to replace the top bearings ( from the part I removed in order to add the new oil in the video ) . If the sound come from inside of the supercharger where the "propellers" are (those 2 moving parts which pushes air in ) , than from my knowledge you must replace the whole assambley since you can't open it to replace the bearings .

    • @joseclementerivera2376
      @joseclementerivera2376 Před 5 lety

      I saw a video where the bearings change, but what I wanted to know were the measurements. If the propellers touch each other, it is because the bearings are in poor condition or worn. on ebay but I want to know what measures you have these bearings to see if I find them in my country venezuela.

    Can you guys please help me? I have w203 C200 Kompressor 2001, M111.955 engine with 6-speed manual. I am getting Check engine light from time to time, P0101 code - MAF sensor etc.
    The problem is - Sometimes when I start the car, it runs properly, kompressor is working and the engine has power. But sometimes when I start it, it feels like the kompressor is not working, engine has no power. It's totally random, doesn't matter if the engine is cold or hot. Even if it has no power, I can still redline it, but it takes ages, so it's not in limp mode i guess? Few times I got rid of it when i stopped, shut down the engine and revved it just a little bit when I started it again. But as I said, it's random and it didn't hasn't always worked.
    I changed the MAF sensor for new one, cleaned the throttle body as you did in one of your videos, but I don't know what's the problem. When I start the engine, RPMs are always steady.
    Thanks in advance and sorry for any mistakes in the text.

      Hi ! First thing I would do is to connect a scan tool on the obd2 port and check the live data while the car runs normal and when is not . Than compare the values and there could be a lot of stuff . It's impossible to guess what is the issue by replacing random parts . To me it sounds like a bad connector / wiring or a the supercharger actuator / throttle . After you've done the scan tool you can check the video from the playlist about the oxygen sensor where I show how to test the wires of any sensor at the PCM .

    Why didn't you just remove the fill plug without taking
    out the supercharger, that's what I did and it was done
    in about 30 minutes. I used a syringe to suck out as much
    oil as I can then I add the same amount plus a 1/2 ounce
    more.

However, be VERY VERY careful applying this stuff, don't go too close to the inside edge. If any of this stuff gets inside your compressor, you will not be happy. It will at least kill a bearing or - worse - seize the whole thing up.

      It might not be correct , but I think the pulley does spin continuously with the engine even when the supercharger is not on . The only electronic control is on the valve on top which basically closes so the air will go through the supercharger - get compressed and than it goes further into the intake pipe . When the valve is open the air goes into straight into the intake , bypassing the supercharger . This valve is like a second throttle body basically ;
