Great video. Looks like some nice upgrades over the original. I did like the original radio as it connected to many of the A9X9 models and more and it's same form factor as my Spektrum DX3C radio. But I like this one too. Nice to see slide rails on the roof to protect it. I'm hoping for another release of the a242 which is the 1/24 rally and I found it much more fun than this 1/28 model. The a242 ran better than the 1/24 LOSI Rally. Another great review, have a good one brother!
Thanks for sharing Mike, yep the older transmitters do bind to all the older cars using the wltoys v202 protocol, these new ones also i have found bind to most of the later models as well.

Do you need to change the mounting point on the servo for the steering angle to be better, as that was the problem with the K989 models
I never messed with the steering angle on the k989, but i guess its the same car so the same mod would work on this new model
Asking this while watching so forgive me if you cover it, what’s the average runtime for these cars?
I own one about 40 minutes
And 1 hour charging time

Do you recomend this or the truck with lights that you had on last year mate 1/28 wltoys?
They are honestly basically the same as far as the way they handle and have the same chassis etc underneath the shell, so it's all about which body style you like really Brian. I recommend all these 1/28 models equally as far as how fun they are to drive around. The addition of all the LED's are great compared to the older models for sure 👍 Cheers for watching bro

in my local the k989 it's cheaper around 30% (old stock discount) ,do you think its worth the money? or just pick the cheaper one
They are very much the same, it all depends if you want led lights or not
the internals looks more like the 284131 more than the k989. I wonder why they didn't put the 284131 at the back of the box.

But are the tolerances any better in this new version?
I remember trying to run the old K989 along with mini-z cars on an indoor track, but transmission was so tight the car wouldn't free roll when you let go of the throttle.
That made it very hard to drive on a track.
