That’s what I keep telling her!!
Elizabeth, you only get the better fish once you troll ! By trolling you can be selective, at drifting, you don't have any control. Sitting on any patch reef will bring you "little fish". I have trolled for Wahooo and got a 6-foot, but I was down by the southern end of the keys. Catching a 6-ft fish of any kind is not BORING, I assure you. Tight lines.

Watching from Bermuda. Another great video. While we have a size and bag limit, hogs can be caught year round. That was a nice size at 15mins, we actually get them that size and bigger coming inshore around the mangroves. Wish we had access to live shrimp!
I’ll bring you the shrimp if you take us fishing where the Hogs are! We were actually catching them in our canal last night as the cold front rolled in. 🦐

Ha! I know, I replaced both main gears and now she runs smooth again. Thats what I get fishing for tuna with a reel that small. The gears eventually just strip out. They are easy enough to replace though.

Great video as always Dan and Elizabeth. Awesome hogging. And fun reef fishing. Have you guys thought of using dehooker instead of hand/ hook removal. I learned it 20 years ago from Whale harbor in Islamorada from a mate on the Sea Horse. It's a great way to photograph your catch and release quickly.
Yes, the dehooker is a great idea. We had one once and somehow it got lost. I should get a new one. ☝️

Those under console rod mounts…. Did they come from NauticStar or are they aftermarket?
I picked them up on Amazon after seeing the guides in Iceland using them to mount their fly rods on their vehicles. Amazon says they are out of stock for the time being but I would check back. They do a great job! Vac Rac Multi Vaccum Rod Rack, Black

One per person; 16 inches or more, during season.

Small pieces of shrimp. Sometimes small pieces of lobster legs when we have them. Lots of fun, a great fight, and VERY tasty!!😋
