    Its a big bastad made for having fun and beating the shit out of stuff.. deflections are going to happen man especially with something that big it's just life.. make sure you take Ryan's advice because if anybody knows anything that guy does and if he doesn't his mother does I think he lives with her so just ask her

      No it's too high, wrong dimensions that is why it glances due to center of gravity. Bad design

    I like finger choils on my knives with blades from 7 1/2" ish to 10 1/2" ish. I've never used that knife, so you could be right. I do have a custom Tops Armageddon made by Leo Espinoza. He convex ground the whole blade. I made the handle scales with natural canvas micarta. They are not shaped like traditional Armageddon scales. The knife has a finger choil and I like having a choil on it. Although the Armageddon is not as burley or as much of a "moose" as the Mt. Man. Maybe that is the difference.

    I hope WTG comes out with a No Choil version this summer. Until then I'm sitting on the sidelines holding my money. I love to swing big choppas, but yes, I carry smaller fixed blades for the feather sticks and fire making.

    I love that blade and want one real bad. Love all my WTG knives, but agree on the finger choil. I don't like them on big choppers.

    Yes the glancing big knife is definitely a big deal. Seeing your own tendons in your arm moving is not fun. Just my experience lol. I find knives with too rounded/too much swell on the handle can be notorious for it. Sometimes having a bit of flat helps index the blade much better.

      I noticed that when I resharpened my WTG’s pretty Convexed edge to a V-Grind, it stopped glancing off things as much...and it started biting in better...

    i actually don't know what the point of a knife like this is. I agree that there are diminishing returns when it comes to the size of a knife and i think this knife already exceeds that point. The kodiak is about as big as I'd want. This knife is so big and heavy, it's the same weight as a 19" axe...and an axe that size can be used with 2 hands.

  • @420haxx
    @420haxx Před měsícem +1

    Lol that thing must really be a handful if even you are talking about diminishing returns.
