Exactly. Waymo has a functional robotaxi today. It works. It’s approved by regulators. It continues to get bigger and better. Tesla has none of this.

They have less than 800 cars in operation.
Tesla has over seven million cars that can run FSD. FSD goes hands free this month. It drives anywhere, highways and cities, suburbs.
Waymo only does geofenced cities, no highways.
So once FSD begins taking rides, which will happen, who do you think is better positioned?
@@mandelm2001 I’m familiar with the Tesla bull case but a reliable, pure vision, end to end solution is still years away. I experienced FSD in multiple vehicles during the trial. I had to disengage every few minutes. 99% to good enough with this approach is significantly more difficult than Waymo’s solution. Other modalities are necessary today. Unfortunately, Elon is too far ahead of his time.
Tesla looks like it's going big. I really want to profit from the market this year. I have about $80k I want to invest in the market. My brain doesn't do very well in understanding these things. How else could I utilise the market opportunity?
I suggest you focus on two key objectives. Learn when to sell stocks to minimize losses and maximize gains to start protecting yourself. Second, prepare to make money when the market turns around. I advise speaking with a broker or financial counselor.
Agreed. My portfolio is well-matched for every market season yielding 85% from early last year to date. I and my CFP are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal, tho this could take another year. In my opinion, financial advisors are the most sought-after professionals after doctors.

Tesla releases their build to a controlled set of user before to all drivers. They have just released version 12.4.3 to their user subset for testing.
Tesla has over 825,000 autos in use right now and they collect driving data from all autos.. Tesla estimates that they are within two years of being fully self driving capable. Waymo has 50 autos operating in a 63 square mile area.
Waymo relies on maps and Lidar for driving, They also have a human assigned to each auto to supervise and control the auto under required situations,
Tesla uses maps, cameras (eight) and Neural Net software for its driving. although the auto sends driving data back to Tesla, there is no remote control of the auto.
When Tesla reaches Full Self Driving, it will in fact be Full Self Driving. That's why Robotaxi is a real thing.
Aside from autos, Tesla has other successful businesses including Powerpack (energy storage for later use), auto Full Self Driving for lease to other automakers, and Optimus Robots, human-like robots for use in factory, retail and home use.
Long-term, TSLA will become the largest capitalized company in existence. But not in 12 months.
No idea, maybe he means Tesla has not sent out cars with no drivers to test? But, that is not how Waymo or anyone else did trials of their FSD, they all had drivers in the seat to intervene if needed, which is what Tesla is doing right now with 12.4.3, hands free but with drivers in the car. More realistically, he is just a clueless mimbo who used his body to get this job and is spewing random things because he has to say something. That is the simplest explanation, so Occam's Razor it is probably true.

Tesla’s past investments have not even paid Elon’s compensation. EVs account for all significant profits and now that is going into decline. Grid batteries were the bright spot but there is no indication of what capacity and margins will be.
The fundamentals don't look good when they (Tesla) are investing a huge amount of capex on AI etc.

The real question is - what car is best equipped for implement driverless technology, be it developed by Tesla or another company. The answer is a Tesla car. People seem to forget this. Tesla is very well setup for the next wave of innovations.
Tesla valuation is not purely based on fundamentals but also potentials, those who see further growth in the future and who understand the company a risky position but potentially rewarding . Retail investors usually are the one who recognize potential rewards. Wall Street is stuck in fundamentals or those brave enough to look more than a year ahead are a few
When you’re playing with millions of dollars in a fund you can’t just play the oh I like this stock cuz it’s cool game.
