Dunmer can inherently summon their ancestor spirits in battle. Spirit summons would make sense.

Right plus dark elves are good with conjuration… I was thinking about doing a Naravarine build and first thing I thought was “flame incantations for destruction magic and spirit summons for conjouration” I had no idea what to do for the weapon though, so this video helped immensely in that department.

@@ratman262 dragons too. I feel like there are just way too many dragons there and it makes the other boss dragons feel less special somehow. I think outside of Radahn there is really nothing in Caelid I genuinely enjoy. It's as you said, just an annoyance to even search for caves or loot there.
@@ratman262 Man, every motherfuckin area in this motherfuckin game sucks to explore. Randomly finding that elevator that goes down to Nokron was pretty neat, but nearly everything else about it eventually makes me realize I just suck at it and then I subsequently wish random fatal brain aneurysms upon anyone and everyone involved in making this fuckin game. I wish I hadn't played it so much because there's parts that I really like about it, but not enough to pick it back up again.

To be fair, I _knew_ Flaming Strike was a weapon buff ash, and for a moment I thought I'd been scammed. I had to look up how to actually apply the buff.
It really is a good ash. It doesn't come out as fast as Catch Flame, sadly, but it does cover a wider arc and it's super cheap. Something interesting to note is that Fire ashes scale with STR, and so do more damage with a Heavy affinity than Fire. Ditto for Lightning ashes on a Keen affinity. That said, the weapon buff will perform better on a matching affinity.
@@Greywander87 if you make something heavy/keen, it doesn't add the elemental damage and instead just bumps the STR/DEX scaling up. the elemental damage is only dealt when its affinity is set as Fire/Flame Art/Lightning, and then it scales off of STR/FAI/DEX respectively. the heavy and keen affinities do more damage because split damage is almost always lower than pure phys
The whetblades have abstract god power hammered into them and let you cut up the memories of old warriors and use your willpower to briefly manifest their powers. Tonal architect stuff.

Another good weapon to use for a Nerevarine build would be the Monk's Flameblade, it even has flame in its name. Only issue with it is that it's a random drop from an enemy that appears near the end of the game unfortunately, looks really close to Trueflame though!

Frozen Lightning Spear my dude. Faith only incantation that does frost buildup. Can even roleplay it's a custom destruction spell.
Not to mention the ice dragon breaths, though I could see why even those might not be included.

Never played Elden Ring. Not from not being interested, just doesn't feel like *my* kind of jam. But, the lore is interesting and the world is intriguing. Was nice watching you tackle it. Hope you do more, fun seeing you branch out from Morrowind and Runescape!

one tip for the boss design in this game, is to never roll backward. It's a quick trap that their ai is always ready to catch your rolls, its pretty dangerous. the safest spots usually involve going to their back in a diagonal roll forward. you'd be surprised how much that helps.

one little trick with Morgott and the other form he takes is with the delayed attacks, you can take the time to run all the way to their side, or watch the hilt of their weapon, once it moves slightly, the attack is coming and you need to roll right then or take a holy hammer bonk

Also, with the soreseal I think you're thinking about it wrong. That +15% dmg recieved most of the time is just offset by the extra vigor you get, making the extra +5 to your other stats pure bonus with no downside

Morgott does vary his types of swings based on distance. That may be what you were referring to at 35:55. He can also do something people called "combo extension" where if he miss with an attack he will perform a follow up not normal done if he hits.

19:21 these 15% are somewhat (if not completly) offset by the fact that it also gives you more vigor and endurance. Yes, you will take more damage per hit, but it allowes you to take more hits thanks to more hp and equipment load. It's very much worth using it up to the point where you vigor is somewhere between 30 and 40

I really missed Dagoth ur's voice line at the end where he goes "What are you doing stop urgh ARGhhh, this is the end the bitter bitter end..." Usually, thats what accompanies the ending song of your videos.
its confusing but the Whetstone Knife's description clarifies that it is not really a knife per se, but rather a whetstone that happens to be in the shape of a knife. You need the regular whetstone knife to use the other whetblades because its the only compete knife. The other ones are just blades with no handle.
I see potential for a Dagoth Ur build. Naked with the Goldmask head piece and claw weapons; Also, make them poison infused because Daddy Dagoth loves his bioweapons.
Whetstone Knives used to be a common thing, still kind of are. Its rather easy to sharpen something with something else that's vaguely sharp.

I'm someone that delves into game knowledge first and then gather skill later. I played Elden Ring around a few months after it came out and in between the release and the play I learned as much as I could, still pretty mid but I wouldn't say I'm bad. Now this year I had entered into Morrowind and it is almost just as you say, Morrowind is relatively easy with knowledge and no restrictions and that's without the insane exploits turning you godlike prematurely. I had done playthroughs of Skyrim and Oblivion before but neither reached the level of knowledge bias that Morrowind has. This is why the concept of gaming is so interesting.

Yeah, I watch all the videos and have all the knowledge, but any build that requires me to dodge or parry is impossible.
It's why I can only beat the game once every couple months, because maliketh basically requires a level of aggression and nimbleness that I can't summon
Good video idea. You could've also ran the Nerevar as a Int/Faith build, with the Sword of Night and Flame as a main weapon. That way you could use fire, ice, and shock spells.
Did not expect a flat earth dunk in the middle of this. lol
The -15% resists from the soreseal are completely negated by the health boost unless you're, idk, past the vigor softcap or something or getting hit by something that does more damage than Dragonbarrow bell bearing hunter. It's really good. +5 strength and dex gives you some damage resist too. I think it's a flat -10 points of physical damage just by having strength and dex +5.
fun fact: if you hit the falling star beast in the face while its charging it stumbles and crashes, cancelling the charge. Throwing knives are great in a pinch.
Seeing how much you persevered has made me reconsider attempting to beat Elden Ring.

31:00 The snowman looking enemies are called Oracle Envoys. Their drops are pretty unremarkable, they can drop the horn they carry, or a crafting material that can be made into a consumable that boosts immunity.

fun fact you can skip the bridge by going to fort gael in the south east of caelid! There's a teleporter on the top of it that puts you right behind the bridge.
