FWIW I received one of these today from Amazon and it DID come with an aluminium vat.
Some people (like me) don't want the rubber feet so that it can slide around, so they probably left as an optional add-on.
Good point. The rubber feet fall off anyway!
Just FYI, there is a very good reason for not having a bearing at the top of the threaded rod. You do not want the top of that rod rigid, it's designed to be able to wobble a bit. All the rigidity comes from the linear rail. If the top of the threaded rod was fixed, it would be over-constrained, and the slightest bend or the tiniest bit off-centre, and your machine will bind up. That's why the threaded rod is mounted on a wobbly fixing at the bottom too!

Thanks for this awesome review! Do I need to calibrate the printer after every use? Or would once during the initial setup after unboxing would suffice?

I think you briefly mentioned it, but I just want to be doubly sure. Is an FEP sheet in place upon arrival? Did it come with extras? Thanks so much for the video! I watched several others on this unit before I got to yours. They were helpful, but this should have been the first search result! Very cool. Oh, and now that it's been a couple years, did you end up replacing the plastic vat? Or did the plastic one work out?

IS there any odor when the resin is cured?
Michael no there isn't any odour once the part if cleaned and post cured.
Is this Phrozen Sonic Mini 4K Resin 3D Printer?
No, just the original Sonic Mini with the 1080p screen. The 4K has a muddy green cover and according to the website when I ordered mine, will be shipping in late September (which considering pre-orders, I am going to assume October sometime.
