That's an awesome boat! I really hope to have a rig like that one day. Jet boats are crazy though. Total horsepower black holes. 300hp on a 16ft to get 54mph is wild to me. I have a 14ft with a 25 prop outboard and hit 30mph. It's crazy it takes 275 extra hp to get 20 mph.
Interesting boat and excellent video, you did great and answer a lot of questions and you expressed observations I have about the need for speed... I guess that boat is great for shooting the rapids and somewhat for fishing, jets are efficient at higher speeds and tough to maneuver at lower speeds
Badass. My Lund Predator 2070 has a 150 merc and it is also like a sports car. On plane IMMEDIATELY and it is supposed to get to 51. I've only had it to 48, but it feels like 100. More than fast enough for me.
I took my old 15ft aluminum boat and put my old Yamaha jet ski 85hp 10 years ago to run in the river here in SC it works very well still fish out of it. Good job on the boat looks very nice I like how quiet it is.
A 19 foot north river commander with twin rotax 1640 aces would be epic. This thing in a sea doo does 0-60 in 3.6. That’s in all actuality too fast for most people on the water.
Supercharger whistle is insane. Thanks for the vid. I was wanting to see more of the 300. I'm also curious to know what type of decking that is and how well it cleans up or cleaned up. I use to get a lot of blood on my Seadek and that cleaned up pretty good. Thanks!
In my search for my first river boat, I haven’t read much good about these motors. They have to be warmed up and don’t do well in the cold. I wish it were different bc that thing screams!
Do you find that those stomp grates are more usefull for leaves than stone? We built my 16' ModV jetski boat without a grate and only have issues when heavy rain drops a ton of Fall leaves in the river. Thats a sick boat, definitely not looking forward to building one again, but I sure would love to have an 18' with taller rails for big lakes and the ocean!
@@theunusualcivilian no shit.... I happen to own one and know all about that aspect of the game. I want to know how much top speed is gained with the new rotax jet motor over the old mercury sport jet. So if you can't answer that question, you shouldn't be responding here
@benblazek3305 I have a question for you I have been thinking about getting one of these are they really any better than a tunnel boat with an outboard jet I have some shallow rocky spots I fish or have to run through in east Tennessee
Other than a great engine it looks quite an impractical pointless boat to me, the deck configuration looks limiting, it sound's far too noisy on board, and it looks like the skipper is having a battle keeping it in a straight line.
Just wish they didn’t look so funny like they have so much weight on the nose. And I hate the center console look. Wish there was a side by side rear air option

That really sits nice and level in the water.
Great video looking forward to getting mine this spring from rockproof and pimping it out the way I want it. Keep the videos coming.
👍🏻

He builds one hell of a boat!
love the stomp grate one of the down falls of my outboard jet
What a nice sound this is what I’m looking for.
Dang that thing is sweet!!
Makes me wonder if I can get one inside my old body Carlson CVX17. I can only imagine how sweet it would look as a jet boat

That thing is bananas
We need a 2021 boat update.

i’m not sure what kind of flooring he installed but I have been using aquatraction and it seems to clean up pretty good. I do some install work
nice vid. The 1503 is rated at 229HP. 71 hp is a lot more.

Where was it listed for sale ?
Super.
Good spot for catfish!
I wonder what that would be like in some rapids.....😳
Where did you guys get the motor?
Should I put one in a geo metro?
Check out Cletus's tube you channel in south florida he built two mini jet boats with the 300 hp rotax motors
Who makes this engine? BRP has came out with what they are calling a Rotax engine but it's more of an outboard design with prop drive.

I haven’t been in a situation where I needed to use the stomp grate yet

What kind of top speed improvement is there over the mercury sportjet? Over 60mph?
Jet boats are about depth, they can go fish tight shallow areas easier

At idle she sounds like a diesel!
How shallow can these boats run?
6” all day. You can push it down to 3” but risk running gravel through the pump.
BOW heavy bad
Is it sold yet?
I think Sal
Where has it listed for sale ?
Dam take my money

Also slow for 300hp
@@jimmycline4778 SET UP FOR HAULING LOADS IT AINT A RACE BOAT DING DONG!!
Put a real 300hp outboard on it, it would way cooler, sound way better, and do at least 90 mph!
