  • Bike Dream Build MTB. I did this custom Ragley Big AL Hardtail build at the request of a family member. This is one of my favorite hardcore hardtail frames. I filmed the build as an homage to one of my favorite channels Gee Milner aka Dream Build. I find these ASMR videos to be very relaxing and satisfying to watch. In fact the first real edit on this channel was a similar video. If you haven't watched Gee Milner, check it out.

    Just wondering, did you use a brake mount on the rear due to a larger rotor? I'm just using a 180mm. Great vid mate, you made it look smooth, don't know if I'll have that much luck. Just about to start building mine, can't wait!

    • @AdrenalineIsLife
      @AdrenalineIsLife  Před 2 lety +1

      You'll definitely need a 160mm/180mm adapter to fit the larger rotor. They are pretty inexpensive. Glad you enjoyed the video. Take your time with the build. Measure twice cut once and google if your not sure about something. Nothing better than riding a bike you built yourself.

    • @AdrenalineIsLife
      @AdrenalineIsLife  Před 2 lety +2

      Thank you! Both are great bikes. The MMMBOP is a bit slacker and more descent focused. It would be more playful being a 27.5. Also, it might be a better fit at your height but that is a matter of personal preference and skillset. The Big AL is more of an all round design. It will climb and descend well but will be less nimble. The 29in wheels will roll over obstacles better.

    • @AdrenalineIsLife
      @AdrenalineIsLife  Před 2 lety +1

      I did test it out. It's a size too big for me but it was surprisingly nimble considering. The 29er is slow to get rolling compared to 27.5 but it ate up the trail once it got rolling. It's basically a 29er Marley. I haven't tried a mullet setup yet. I might try one down the road.
