I kept listening to the song while out on my walk. Evil anvil did an amazing job, and while I don't want to rush anything, I hope she plans on doing them for limited and secret life. If they're even half as good as the others, they'll be great.

Double Life was so good, Pearl was just amazing throughout. Main character storyline even if it might have felt a bit lonely at times. :(
i love how not only do they manage to get so many rhymes but still manage to include the best moments of the series, like bad math, or S tier Scar or the final fight
Etho's parts in these songs are consistently very good fmo.

Pearl was definitely the main character of Double Life, and genuinely I don't understand why people hate Double life. I think the Divorce Quartet is one of my favorite arcs in ALL of the life series though. This song really brough the right vibes and I really enjoyed the slight angst it had toward the end. I also think Pearl had the best lines in this song this time round. Now we wait patiently for the Limited Life song! (hopefully :D )
They probably dont like it because its the shortest one, otherwise i dont see much of a reason

@@witchoriia because the main storyline of this season is the Divorce Quartet. The most popular creators didn't have the best storylines, and most of the audience don't watch everyone. It's a shame really, the Divorce Quartet and especially Pearl had such a fun and crazy story in Double Life.
"Something Wicked This Way Comes" Is from Pearl. she did the entire 5AM crazy skit and I have to tell you dude, It's my most favorite line in the entire series
The way the death noises are punctuated with sound effects of how everyone died is such a great touch!!
I had to warm up to it a bit because I was still riding the high of the Last Life song, but then the parts with the deaths hit and I was won over instantly.
I still prefer the Third Life one. But they're all good

You want a bit more reference for the "something wicked, this way comes" hook, watch Pearl's last episode of Double Life. The season really was all hers. As she was making her final kills she was reciting the line and it was unhinged. It really added drama to the finale.

Pearl is an insane badass, and Double Life was tragic. If the women of Life form a household one season, you guys will be doomed.

i saw a comment emphasising the fact that after bdubs says “the suns going down,” grian has a line. this is because the word “grian” means “sun”. that just shows how much effort was put into this.
(Tbf evil anvil also did reply with saying it was intentional but it seemed sarcastic and like it was just coincidental and she also didn’t correct how it was actually grian in irish and not latin)

I love the fact, that all the characters get grey after their death is seen in the video. All the Members still sing, but those who already died can be seen dead. The further we get in the video the less people's face get shown in color.

I’m gonna listen to this twice since it’s double life. And because it’s my favorite out of the trilogy
I didn't jive with the last life one, I listened to it only once while 3rd life and now double life instantly went into the playlist. Double life is by far the best one out the three made with an awesome beat and lyric cohesion. Evil Anvil has an ear for sound beats and how to build atmosphere with their music and lyric choice.
This one is probably my favorite of them all.
Anvil is so freaking good at this, she and InTheLittleWood should collab for something

the reason everyone seems to talk in rhyme is because each language has its own "beat" so when there is a musical backing the beat becomes more pronounced

I can’t wait for secret life as a song, when they’re reading out their task, Martyn saying “Alright, task force,” the zombie apocalypse, and scar being the villain, are all things I think would be great in the song, but it will prob take a while to get it, considering how long it took the double life song to come out, not judging anyone

i love the lore that i spotted that scott broke pearls heart which caused her to go on a rampage as all her friends around her died. but in the end the tables turned as they were the last two to survive whch repaired her trust, but at the final moment scott betrayed her one last time

These really are so good. Thats a lot of talent to turn what we all hear as normal conversation put it to music and a beat and make something that looks like it was planned out to be that way all along.

now that secret life is over i've got a bit of a head cannon that's been made more obvious with the secret keeper mechanic: there's a third watcher species, investigating the two rogue watchers and Grian, but they're laying very low atm. as in they're picking the winners after Last Life. Grian doesn't do this after he made himself win back than and this Investigator thought it was a good idea and is attaching themselves to who they want to win next, but they didn't want to obvious with it, except with Secret Life and could than give Scar his tasks a bit more directly.

I especially love the last lines of Joel and Etho “I don't know what to do!” Joel being scared and open and vulnerable with his soulmate. “I’ll go in unison with you.” Etho, also scared, but he trusts his soulmate and knows that together, they can do it. “ETHO GET BACK THROUGH!” Joel worrying first for his soulmate, over himself, and the despair in his voice, just, ouch.
