Best lines of the entire thing for me are the edited final chorus “I wouldnt think you would be the one to betray me” & “Oh im doing just fine” theyre so sudden and threatening as a perfect way to end
my favorite part of this one is the change from “im sorry, i think i got a little bit crazy” to “i wouldnt think that youd be the one to bettay me!” in the final chorus! its so good!

I love the "oh I'm doing just fine" because it fits pearls double life character so much. It sounds so sinister. Also the "call the dogs of war" is amazint
You can tell just how much effort goes into these videos, partially because of how long it takes to make them. The double life one only just came out - that really puts it into perspective. Banger song.

My favourite part HAS to be when Cleo says “you sound unhinged” and Pearl replies with “oh I’m doing just fine..” it sounds like she’s truely lost her mind like that is INSANE

my favorite parts are Scar's epic waterbucket clutch that just made tango speechless for a minute while Grian was freaking out at it. And Zombiecleo's surprise at how different 5am pearl is. Australians don't like to wake up between 5am and 7am. they call it the zombie hours. Pearlescentmoon fully committed to the role. but the thing is Zombie hours doesn't hit all Australians only some Pearl is one of them.
That's why there is no more recording between 5am and 7am in australia. Pearls too good. in secret life if it was before 7am pearl would have won against scar
I really think in double life the last few just weren't ready for dogs. They're a massive threat and need to be dealt with using the utmost care (and lava). In Secret Life especially you saw a lot of very targeted dog-culling specifically to prevent Pearl and the Roomies from walking into the finale with unstoppable dog armies
And everyone on the ground was shocked and laughing about his clutch
Watched this one live and I was in shock the entire time. When Martin said they keep getting better he wasn’t lying.

Pearl herself said it in the final episode. If I remember right she was sneaking up on B'Dubs at the time and started chanting it before he realised she was there, which directly led to B'Dubs panicking and letting out the "She's freakin crazy" line in response.

but the best season had to be double life. No one expected scar to pull of a waterbucket clutch. and the povs that saw it you can hear tango go he de-what?! while grain is just losing it. anyways i can't wait for the next life series now that geminitay is in. Geminitay was always expected to be near the top. claiming third in her first time is classic gem

This is probably their best work with these life series songs. All the lines chosen were a perfect match. They all added to the feel of what Double life was as a whole. None of the lines chosen were chosen merely for the rhyme. They were all very deliberate in serving to convey the main plot of Double life and the Life series as a whole. How can I explain best? …They kept the dialog focused on the main beats of the season. The soulmate pairings and then the major events, like the warden, the chaos between characters, and the scorned crazed soulmate Pearl coming out on top in the end. Then including all the demises for each pairing serves to progress the song to the end where Pearl comes out on top.
