A few months ago I read your blog post on James Gourney and I decided to buy his Light and Colour - the book is great! I really love it. All those little details he mentions and shows how they work :D

I finally ordered two of the books. The imaginative realism one and the life and work, by Rembrandt though since I will have a rather minor exam on him soon and if I like it I will order the michelangelo one as well, since those two are relevant for my "a-levels" and my teacher doesn't really do enough about it.

I recommend Roger Dean's book "Views" although I'm not sure if it can still be bought new. He did art for record sleeves in the 70s but also does all sorts of other things. His art is incredible and I believe that Avatar was entirely based on Roger Dean's art (the floating Islands for example) there's no way that they could deny that!

Wow, I usually don't like any other art book featured by other artists, but I like this ones (y) coz hard to find materials on fantasy art I think

I looked around and now I think the author is publishing a new/updated version, under a slightly different name.
As expected from you; all of these books looks great! Guess what I'll be asking for Christmas this year ;)
I think I will try to find the book you have on Turner, but the one of Michelangelo, as it is very important on my A-Levels(or well, the german equivilant ;) ) So it could maybe really help me :) I will maybe also look into the other ones, as I really like using such books as Inspiration and help to get better :)
