    Want me to 3d model more species? Comment suggestions.
    Also don't want to model this yourself? Then you can get the model here: www.etsy.com/listing/1430334126/kemono-dragon-3d-model-stl-fursuit-head

      Would it be good to make horns on the model as well or should those be separate? Also, if it is separate, how would you go about making sure the horns are secure?

    so, there's some easier ways to work with the booleans in blender - if you use the boolean modifier, boolean objects can be completely separate objects, and can be hidden with the boolean modifier still active. then when you export the STL, using 'apply modifiers' will apply the booleans. this way the booleans are 'non destructive'. and will let you make changes any time throughout the process. mirror modifiers can be added to boolean objects, too.
    selecting outer rings of a shape and pressing 'e' will let you extrude that region, very useful for making holes without boolean, if you already have the edge ring available.
    a few of the points in here were helpful though. i'll be converting an already self-built character model into a suit head using these methods.

    Messy topology tends to work to the detriment of a model in most applications, but it doesn't look like it's affected the print all that much. Are there any issues printing when working with ngons, poles etc?

    Hi! Mind if I ask if using resin 3D print is safe for doing such things for fursuits and other costumes?

    You seem to be using a pretty tough filament for this one, isn't TPU better for a base?

    • @MugiwaraCosplay

      I've never used used tpu. I've heard it's tricky to print with. But I would say it's a preference, just like foam vs resin

    • @tweets009
      @tweets009 Před rokem +2

      it depends, they can go for a few hundred to a few thousand, a lot of "beginner" ones are around £300-£500 but honestly there are a loooot of youtube videos where people recommend good printers for beginners or even people with some knowledge and they can still be decently cheap compared to some others, really depends on the type of printer and the size because obviously there is a big range

    • @tweets009
