- This is the first episode in a new series I'm producing about Ireland's greatest mountain passes. I've driven so many of them by car but have made it my mission to ride my favourites on a motorbike. In a somewhat personal journey I visit Glengesh pass deep in the heart of beautiful Donegal and see what it has to offer....

Thank you Selene. This was my first ever mountain pass vid I made and I remember every moment as it was a superb day. 🙏🏍️🎥
Excellent 👍
Thanks Steven.🙏
Absolutely stunning ride, thank you for sharing it!....
Cheers Martin. Appreciate that.
My family is from Galway, my mother wanted to name me Donegal. I ride out of Northern NJ...planning a trip within the next 2 years to take a motorcycle tour through Ireland, I've never been and think it would be the best way to visit the island. Thank you for this fellow soul rider...
Wow, there’s definitely a lot of Irish in your heritage. It’s an incredible vista and even more so on two wheels. You won’t regret a visit!
Wheelie good vid enjoyed it beautiful area😎🏍💨💨💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦🥂
We are moving from south africa to ireland . Nice to see sum good riding over there
Beautiful solitude, Dave. Cheers.
Completely. Loved it.
What a lovely film and a great day out 👍🏍
Thanks Mark. Much appreciated.👍🏍🎥
Glorious scenery, Dave. Very much the type of riding that I also love to do on my old BMW Boxer, up in the Peninnes, over moorland tops, where you rarely meet any traffic, although not as wild and remote as Ireland. Glorious in summer, but can get quite bracing when the weather is rough with a strong wind blowing. It's what makes one feel alive. 👍
I know the Pennines well. Like you say, quite bleak in the winter.
excellent video Dave. Keep up da good work
Good man yerself Eddie!😜🍀🏍🇮🇪
Simply stunning 👍👍👍
Hi Dave, I really enjoyed that, the ambiance and pace were just perfect. Liked your choice of music too. It seemed like a chilly day, but no rain (or snow) but a nice way to explore without the traffic.
Top quality production and interesting chat as always. Thanks.
Very kind mate. Much appreciated!👍🏍🎥
Such beautiful mountains! I ride in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina…it’s my favorite place to be in those twistys. Great video! I hope to visit some day…
I’d love a spin in the Blue Ridge too! Cheers
Nice, I'm off out on the bike now after that.
🤣🤣Enjoy!🏍
Very inspirational spiritual motorcycling video,I need to visit county Donegal as well.Looks very beautiful up there.
Thanks bud. It certainly refreshes you riding in this part of the world.
Great first episode, keep on riding!!(I miss your fjr and of course the mesmerizing exhaust sound)
I still miss the FJR too but never say never….😜🤔

Thanks Mike.👍🏍
This is what riding is all about!
Absolutely!👍🏍
Wheelie enjoyed the vlogg
🤣🤣👍
Stunning, you will be doing a few trips to Co Kerry so then Dave.
Oh Yes! I have a couple in the bag already!🤫👍🎥
Great idea for videos. Spectacular ride. Hopefully I’ll get up to Donegal in the near future and do that pass.
Well worth it Colman.👍
Great subject for a video series Dave. My wife and I will be in Donegal next week. We are going back to Malin Head and following the wild Atlantic way south. We were in Malin Head in 2018 however we drove straight to Sligo and missed a lot of the passes and coastline.
Looking forward to the next one 👍
Thanks Ian and enjoy Ireland!! The weather also looks amazing next week so you’re in luck! 🍀
Hi Dave, just wanted to let you know that was a fantastic video. Hope to do something similar during the summer. Keep up the good work Dave ☺️
Many thanks James. Much appreciate the feedback.👍🏍
Very well put together piece, you may have a future at this cinematography lark 😀
Yeah I’m considering it Paul.😜👍🎥
Donegal is a lovely part of the country Dave with some great roads to spend hours on the bike exploring. Unfortunately the last time I was around there was over 3 years ago in the lorry going to Killybegs for 25tons of frozen Fish lol
🤣🤣👍
Oh My Lord Dave what a stunning place you live in i really need to talk my wife int0 hoppin on a plane renting a bike and venturing to your part of the world , keep the vids coming Cheers Glenn.
Do it! We are so spoiled here. 👍🏍
We're heading to Donegal in about a week's time to do a run around Donegal including the Glengesh Pass. Really useful to get your take on it Dave.
Ah I’m jealous! Enjoy it Brian it’s a beautiful part of the world. 👌🏍
Stunning Dave, I can see why you love it there! 🙂
Cheers bud.👍🏍
Hi there Dave me and the mrs just started watching your stuff , the work your doing it brilliant lovely relaxing videos done with a charm . Keep up the good work 👍👍
Hi Eddie, what a lovely message to read. Thanks a mill for letting me know. Cheers mate.👍🏍
I know exactly what you mean. What a great start to what will be a great series! I really liked the aerial shots.
Cheers mate, couldn’t fail with that scenery tbh.👍🏍
Beautiful scenery, great footage and wonderful music. I wanted it to go on and on. You captured the beauty of Ireland. Loved It!!!!!!!!!!!!
I knew you wouldn’t miss this one Trev!👍💚
Once again I'm glad TMF mentioned you as I really enjoy you and your videos. Being in the States and retired I have plenty of time to travel from my recliner. Lol. Your country is truly beautiful and the solitude of that ride was epic. Thanks for the adventure. 👍👍🏍🏍🏍🙋♂️
Good to know you’re here through TMF John. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated.👍🏍
Stunning countryside what a great place to rid through : )
Thanks bud.👍🏍
Dave that was beautiful, great video. Looking forward the rest of the series. Thanks.
Thanks so much for the feedback!🙏🎥
Brilliant Dave, great idea for a series, we are hopefully doing the pass at the end of the month, what direction did you go, N to S or S to N? Looking forward to the next installment.
Cheers Glenn. North to South in the vid but it’s short enough to do it a few times to take it all in. It’s worth it.👍
We should get you on RevUp Dave, we used the Glengesh pass in our 2017 run & each year we try to bring people down the roads less travelled in Ireland 👍
Ah brilliant, happy to be involved.👍🏍
It is incredibly beautiful through there 😍 What a ride ❤📷🏍💕
Thanks mate, the scenery is unreal here.
Dave, that was a brilliant start to the touring series 👏 thanks! Sure going to think about getting on a ferry this summer and doing a few days bike touring on the green island. Thanks again, ride safe 👍
Stunning ride, stunning views. What a great start to this series. Those DSLR photos came out beautifully 📸👍🏻
Thanks Mike.
Hey Dave, you said you moved to Ireland. By your accent I thought you were from Ireland. Then I listened a bit more and I think I detect a northern England accent every so often. Am I correct? Great video again really relaxing to watch.
Yeah Jim you can take the man out of Newcastle but you can’t take Newcastle out of the man.…. 😉
@@WheelieGoodTV same here. I’m from birtley. I live in Plymouth Devon now but I’ve never lost my accent. 😂
Thanks Dave - looking forward to the rest of the series 👌 Spectacular scenery, like you I quite like the solitude of riding on your own - although riding in a group sometimes has its attraction 🤔, it gives you the opportunity to stop & go where you like (like Mr Vida says - take the road less travelled 🙂) Right, Off on the bike now !!🏍🏍👍👍
Thanks Angus, I hope you got an enjoyable spin out today.👍🏍
That's some lovely footage Dave, looking forward to the rest of the series.
Thanks again Dylan, wait until you see some of the others I’ve done…..💚
Feck off, I'm already wishing I could get out on the bike more. BTW, I saw a small lego kit in the shop that used to be Heatons in Cavan. A golden motorbike and the rider had a camera on a selfie stick. Would probably look good on your desk 🤣
Perfect soundtrack to some beautiful scenery Dave. Ireland is definitely bucket list material but until I get there I’ll keep looking forward to future instalments. I really enjoy your presenting style matey keep it up.
Thanks for the kind words.🙏
Extremely well pulled together Dave, the still photos and drone footage along with the live footage really makes for a entertaining watch. Love your work and enjoy seeing your videos pop up.
Much appreciated Richard. Thanks 🙏
Another Great video Dave ! I've done that pass, spectacular scenery as you say and show so well.
If you fancy another spin to Donegal, you should do the Mamore Gap, which when I came across it first got the adrenaline going :)
Best approached from the South East side, in my opinion, for a view of a very straight road that climbs up to the sky !
When you get to the top, there is a "Magic road" bit , which makes vehicles appear to be rolling uphill.
Worth a visit and a future video hopefully.
Regards, Colm
Oh wow that sounds like a good one Colm, I’ll be sure to check that out. Cheers 👍🏍
Wonderful film Dave, really love this type of program, keep up the good work and looking forward to the rest of the series, well done 😊
Thanks again for watching Ian, I really appreciate the feedback.👍🏍
How about a peice to camera saying Where the pass starts and finishes.
Good point.👍
That was terrific Dave...what an epic pass! I completely understand your feelings with regards to savouring the solitude and the beauty of a ride like this...I enjoy the company of riding with a friend occasionally, or going to a bike meet, but my truly happy place is riding and exploring these type of roads on my own ,lost in thought and lapping up the wonderful scenery! Hopefully back in the West of Ireland 🇮🇪 in a couple of weeks 🙏. Cheers Steve
Thanks again for tuning in Steve. Really enjoy reading the feedback on this one.👍🏍
