what made you get rid of the Mackie control? i just picked one up for 150 used and it wont work with the midi to usb cable so the focusrite might be my only option
hey dude, can i record 2 vocals with 2 mics at the same time with this? dnt need it for music just vocals, hard to record 2 people with 1 mic some times
hey dude so is recording 2 microphones as easy as download drivers for scarlett 2i4 then plug in scarlett to pc then mics in scarlett then use??? i use audacity does it work with this software??
Super Gaming Family Yes it will. It depends on the microphone. Some mics need phantom power, which the Scarlett 2i4 does have! Condensers usually need phantom power, and dynamics do not.
ok thanks dude, i order it yesterdat and should be here tomorrow but then after ordered it i started to read that some people had problems with recording on audacity so i got abit worryed lol, thanks dude, maybe i will get some sleep now lol
Thank you for the review - very insightful. I do have a question though. I have a pair of headphones that require an additional headphone amp due to its high impedence. The headphone amp I plan on buying only takes RCA in. If I plug in RCA cables from the unbalanced outputs 3 and 4 on the 2i4, connect them to the headphone amps RCA ins, and set the headphone source on the 2i4 to 3-4, does the headphone volume knob still control this output to the amp?
This information is great! My question is...Can I use the 2i4 to connect my "non USB" Korg Triton Studio to my computer? Basically I want to use my Korg as a midi controller. It looks like the 2i4 has the connection in the back.
question ... so for now i have a normal portable keyboard ( yamaha psr e223) it has midi in and out sockets on the back . To connect and record thru this interface would i just insert a midi cable into the "midi In" slot in the back of the keyboard and into the "midi out" slot on the back of the interface?
I'm confused about the line outputs... Are the bigger ports for like bookshelf speakers? I have a pair of standard logitec speakers with a subwoofer on the floor. The only inputs I see are the red and white auxiliary inputs on the back of the subwoofer. Would I need those type of cables and make the connection that way? Or will I only need to connect the usb lead that comes with the interface and get the sound that way? Do I even need to use the outputs at all? Please help!
hi is there a way i can... use this with outboard gear so i can record thought the interface then run my vocals back through my outboard getting using this?
Hi, thanks for explaining , a lot of the clips show that quickly and sing thru it all. Hey can I use the two imputs for my voice in the 2i4 and come back and put another track with that , i mean listening to what I done and adding to that at the same time on another track? And if you have it on the top of your head what is the price of this two i four with mic and cables and everything one would need and can i use this with windows , that is a lot of questions but thank you for your time and have a happy new years .
Can I connect my iphone and PC to is via one USB port at the same time using a Y-usb cable? What will happen if I play music on both. The output will be the sum of these two sources?
Can this playback through 4 speakers and then allow me to assign each track to an individual speaker through a DAW program. For example track one in Logic Pro X assigned to output 1 would play back from the speaker connected to output 1 on the interface and then track 2 to speaker 2, track 3 to speaker 3, track 4 to speaker 4.
I am using it for recording in USB otg interface in smule (I sing - karaoke) for android. but when I use my monitoring headphone, I get a statter or lag at hearing the background while I karaoke, what should I do?
Hey there. I'm using the scarlet focus rite 2i4. But when i try to record MIDI tracks, the MIDI signal blinks and makes annoying clicking sounds. Even if im playing some notes on my MIDI Keyboard it gives me annoying clicking sounds. Please help. (Im using Logic Pro X as my DAW)
Hi, thanks for the informative vid. I'm just starting out with this but have a question about mic/instrument inputs. I've noticed that some interfaces have inputs for the mic and a very different ones for an instruments but that others seem to just have inputs like the interface in this video. Are these inputs for both mics and instruments? i.e. can you plug in either?
If i have 4 monitors what would happen if i plugg two of them into balanced output and other two into unbalanced output? Would they/it work? And will i be able to control the volume on all four of them with the volume knob in the front?
I want to start a podcast and will most likely use the Shure SM7B microphone. Is there any way I could wire my iPhone to the Scarlet? I want to pick up/communicate with listeners on Skype while on air, so I was hoping I could just wire the AUX from my phone to get the conversation on air. Anyway to do that?
Can I use the midi ports on this device to connect my keyboard to use as a midi controller? I have an M-Audio midisport connector but it does not work anymore with Windows 10.
This review convinced me to go with the 2i4, it arrived yesterday and since then I've struggled to set it up with my KRK VXT6's, all drivers have been downloaded and still no sound! any help is highly appreciated
+ATBeats 93 In your music settings, you have to set the Focusrite as the primary sound card. Usually in the audio settings! (Also make sure you're plugging in 1 + 2 in the back of the audio interface?)
addthisto Use inst (instrument) - line is when you have a loud signal such as a boombox recording into the audio interface. (I'm not 100%.. maybe someone will comment and correct, but I know you should use inst!)
I'm about to by an audio interface and I need some advice. I would like to be able to connect at the same time my mic, mi guitar, and my keyboard (witch has midi i/o 5pin and a 1/4'' headphone out). Do you thing this interface would do the job? (I dont like the 4 unbalanced outputs btw) or would you recommend me another interface?
The 2i4 should be fine for what you're doing. But be aware that you're pretty much using all your inputs with all three things you mentioned. If you think you will need more inputs or outputs, then the 6i6 will probably be a little better. You probably bought an interface by now and if you have, please share what you bought and what your experience is with yours! Cheers and hope this helps! :)
How to connect my Scarlett to my hifi? Using rca outputs 1 & 2 to my rca hifi or with midi outputs to hifi rca? I like to know also, 1 & 2 rca unbalanced outputs are L and R speakers?😊
Nice review but why bother worry about 2 in and out. Just by the the slightly larger unit that has many ins and outs as you need for not much more. I strongly disagree with your use of the word professional. The mic pres on the 2i4 are simply fantastic.
Hey there. I wanted to set up my 2i4. I have a stage Piano (Korg SV-1) which I've connected via MIDI with the audio interface. Then I've connected the 2i4 with USB to the PC and I connected my unbalanced Speakers. Recordings are working fine and I have a signal with low latency. BUT i can't hear myself when i'm playing. What did I do wrong?(btw the speakers are quite old but normaly the work very well) And what would you recommend to connect a piano to the interface, MIDI or XLR?
+MrBonsai7 I had this issue with my DI guitar, all I had to do was enable monitoring on the track I was trying to hear in my DAW, however be aware that there will be loads of latency. I think the headphone socket on the front of the box is there for listening to your signal with low latency
hey there I'm pretty knew to audio interface, i don't know much about them, but i wanted to know is 2i4 okay for me just to record vocals via mic and hook my guitar in it, with leaving me some room/extra spare set of input/output jack for some studio monitors in case in future I'll ever buy them? thanks again for your time really like the review you did here
+Ayush Jajoria The 2i4 will allow you to record two separate instruments at once. (I'm including vocals as an instrument.) You can plug in your studio monitors at any time
Dumb question Beatstruggles but I've had this interface set up for a while. I have my studio monitors plugged in, drivers are fine etc. I've just bought a condenser mic but it only records in mono in the left channel. How do I configure it to record it in stereo
dankster I think when it's recording on the left channel only, that is recording stereo, if I'm not mistaken! Try to find mono, and that should make your vocal centered! - What recording software are you using?
hey so I have a yamaha mx 49 synthezizer/midi keyboard...my question is how would I connect it to the 2i4 if I want the sound from my keyboard to record to the 2i4 out to my speakers? or what if I want to do both to use it as a midi and using the sound from the keyboard at the same time? which connection would I use, the midi i/o or the front xlr connection? thanks man
So I got a high end Digital piano and I want to record my playing is this the right hardware for me or should I get something else if so could anyone recommend me something?
I tried this audio interface and didn't like it at all. The sound lacks bottom end and sounds compressed. The headphone output was weak and volume dropped when direct monitoring was engaged. Very disappointing unit.
im just looking for a good sound to come out of my yamah hs8's while producing out of ableton...i wanted to buy the apogee duet but out of my budget for now...do you think this is a good alternative? Thanks in advance.
I'm totally new to the recording world so bear with me.. But with the inputs on the front, would I be able to use those to mic my 4x12 guitar cab? Or would I be able to plug my amp head straight into the TRS input on the back?
Noah McCoy I haven't recorded too many live instruments before, but I think you're thinking about it not the right way. The 4x12 is a speaker right? So you'd want to use a microphone to capture the sound it gives? (So you'd use a microphone to record the speaker itself?) I think you'll want to plug your guitar into your amp head first, then into your guitar cab, then mic the guitar cab out of the front input on the Focusrite Scarlett. Does that make sense, or am I not understanding either?
I only have a monitor(speaker) for output, I would like to connect it to de scarlett with a jack cable: my speaker is a kind of amp. The point is that I don't want to buy two speakers because I already got this amp, so even if it is only one output device, could I run it in mono? (as it is only one channel). thank you! and excuse me, I'm from Spain, so I probably messed with my english haha.
Would this work if i went with the Akai Mpc 2000XL to plug into the focusrite and have the output running out to my monitors (krk 5s)? Im currently working on setting up my akai 2000 xl with my scarlett 2i2 and krk 5s, very hard to find information on that point. Any help is highly appreciated.
+Beatstruggles Aye always appreciate feedback, but yea i do have a pc and i have powered the scarlett2i2 (keep in mind its a 2i2) into it, my next question is, will i be able to run both my krks plugged in AND the mpc, consider it only has 2 out and ins?, i cant seem to find informative videos about that, so again higly appreciate the help! Thanks in advance man.
Well, I think you'd go from the OUT of the MPC to the IN of your Scarlett 2i2, then from the OUT of the Scarlett 2i2 into your speakers.. - Make sense ?
hi can you please answer me whats the difference betwen a midi keyboard with audio interface and one without ... whats the role of the audiointerface now i use the usb port and theres no matter ... thank you
Ya there's no difference between using MIDI cables and USB. They are the same thing nowadays, just a lot of older equipment uses MIDI such as sound racks which would be triggered from your MIDI Keyboard and MIDI Cables. In all honesty, use USB! - Much easier nowadays ! To answer your question going into an audio interface or just directly with USB, they give you the same result !
So if I buy this, Do I just need to connect my bass guitar to the the scarlett 2i4 and then connect it to my laptop and with a recording software I can record already? Is tha correct?
Yup. That should do the trick. Focusrite now have a 2. gen. of Scarlet cards out with more headroom. You would want that for guitar and bass with active pickups. If you don't need to record vocals at the same time as the bass maybe have a look at the 2. Gen. Scarlet solo and save some cash. :) Hope this helps.
+Masniardi Masniardi So that means you're wanting to record 3 tracks at once? You'd want to bump up to the next level, I think the 2i6.. But if you're recording all on separate takes you can get away with the 2i2 or 2i4 !
Bro really need help!!! I brought it to attach my ipad to it and work the ipad midi track to pc like cubase. But it isn't working. I connected my ipad to it through usb to midi converter. But thats not working. What to do?
Hi, can this interface work with 2 pairs of speakers, like a monitor controller? Like if the switch is in 1-2 position, then only the speakers connected to outputs 1-2 have sound and in 3-4 position only the other speakers?
Máté Olajos Hey I think you're right ! - Sorry. I guess you'd just wire up each speaker accordingly, then inside your music program you can choose what speakers get what audio.
+Katsune Shinsengumi Yes, there's LINE Input as well as LINE Output. Output is for your speakers (or what you are hearing), and input would be for recording a synth/keyboard.
Great video Man!! I have got Scarlett 2i4, Cubase, and Yamaha MM6 MIDI keyboard. If I connect my keyboard directly via USB cable to computer it gives me latency. So my question is that, If I connect my keyboard via MIDI cable to Scarlett 2i4 and then the Scarlett 2i4 to computer will it give me latency?? Thanks Man!!
***** I'm not 100% sure.. I'm going to say yes it would though. The solution is to lower the buffer settings inside your music program (down to like 512 or 256 samples!)
Well before talking about input & outputs.can u talk lil bit more about what is audio interface & why ppls use this instead using built in computer's input & output?Because Most of the latest computer comes with the high quality input & output so why u need this between computer & mic/monitors/headphones/keyboard controller etc.And also what cable and device goes to 2 input in front & 4 output on the back.what cable xlr/trs/usb/hdmi/stereo and male or female cable? This will be complete review.
Built in sound cards are not in any way 'high quality'. The only gain controls are software dependent, they don't have phantom power, they are often slower, and they often don't allow several inputs working at the same time.
If your pad button is pushed in the 2i4 will cut -10db on your mic...so make sure that's out and you are monitoring through input while talking/singing...playback for monitoring.
+HungryThirstyDead Hey what's up I have been super busy with work and family but, I will be posting some things soon. Check out my IG I always post there instagram.com/kidsynth/
I jus bought this interface and it is worse as a sound card than the standard ASIO4all . I'm very upset that It sucks so bad . I'm gonna take it back I guess .
Hey *****, honestly it's a pretty solid product - but I do feel a bit pricey, and not as many inputs as others against others in its category! It does work well though!
Yes, it was discontinued. Focusrite has released new versions of the Scarlett series since. If you want to learn to make beats, try my website!: itsGratuitous.com
yes you can use it to output audio from your laptop as long as you have speakers to sent it too. also no it wont take up an input, the computer connects to a USB port on the back of the box and thats how the two devises communicate.
if all the speakers were already linked with each other as 2.1 and only required a left and right input then yes. However you couldn't connect all to speakers to this audio interface to get 2.1 audio. you would need a specific audio converter to do that.
RapidFire Muzik Haha, I've been pretty happy with it Robbie! - Other than lack of inputs comparing to other brands! - Overall solid audio interface though! (Halo lights look real cool too)
so i just got this (scarlett 2i4) for xmas. The website, which i am supposed to be able to go to and download some important stuf... but the site wont ever load. Is there any alternatives to ableton? im very new at this, so i dont really know where to start. WIll i be able to record and make music, i just want to start making music.
Hey! Focusrite's site is a bit confusing, but I've been able to figure it out when I set mine up! I personally use FL Studio to produce my music; I really like it! You may like this write-up/video about getting started: beatstruggles.com/how-to-get-started-making-beats/
Hey there, could you advise..Im wondering if i can plug my krk 8's with 10s sub into this interface and at the same time record an electro acoustic guitar using the front inputs? Any advice is appreciated!
You have your mic set to Instrument when it should be set to Line. You just said very little about the PAD. It takes you down around 10db. This you should have said to give people full info if you are giving courses and making people pay. More research on your products before you post video's. Apart from that it was a nice video.
Thanks for the vid.
Switching from a behringer 802 mixer w uca222 interface.
Did the job but now want cleaner preamps and less latency.
what made you get rid of the Mackie control? i just picked one up for 150 used and it wont work with the midi to usb cable so the focusrite might be my only option
hey dude, can i record 2 vocals with 2 mics at the same time with this? dnt need it for music just vocals, hard to record 2 people with 1 mic some times
Yep, you bet you can !
thank you dude
hey dude so is recording 2 microphones as easy as download drivers for scarlett 2i4 then plug in scarlett to pc then mics in scarlett then use??? i use audacity does it work with this software??

Two inputs are fine, you can use one input and still do multiple recording, one instrument at a time.
Quite a good review.
great review thanks!
Niki McNally You are welcome! :)
great video man. I'll be buying it from thomann
Thank you for the review - very insightful.
I do have a question though. I have a pair of headphones that require an additional headphone amp due to its high impedence. The headphone amp I plan on buying only takes RCA in. If I plug in RCA cables from the unbalanced outputs 3 and 4 on the 2i4, connect them to the headphone amps RCA ins, and set the headphone source on the 2i4 to 3-4, does the headphone volume knob still control this output to the amp?
you told something about the insert pulg right? my question is: is the front switch the solution for the "inserts"?
This information is great! My question is...Can I use the 2i4 to connect my "non USB" Korg Triton Studio to my computer? Basically I want to use my Korg as a midi controller. It looks like the 2i4 has the connection in the back.
question ... so for now i have a normal portable keyboard ( yamaha psr e223) it has midi in and out sockets on the back . To connect and record thru this interface would i just insert a midi cable into the "midi In" slot in the back of the keyboard and into the "midi out" slot on the back of the interface?
very helpful!!
Why are you running mic at instrument level?
Think that only applies if you're using the ¼" jack socket
I'm confused about the line outputs... Are the bigger ports for like bookshelf speakers? I have a pair of standard logitec speakers with a subwoofer on the floor. Thank you!
Can I connect my iphone and PC to is via one USB port at the same time using a Y-usb cable?
What will happen if I play music on both. The output will be the sum of these two sources?
Hello how are you? congratulations for the video ... I wonder, Scarlett 2i2 is very diferete of 2i4 ?? which is better ?? thank you
Can I use this as an output for my daw? I get such bad underruns in FL studio that I can't even work on my music. Will the 2i4 get rid of that?
So line input 1 is left speaker and 2 is right speaker?
What you are asking for is on the scarlett 6I6 and up
Can this playback through 4 speakers and then allow me to assign each track to an individual speaker through a DAW program.

Matt Retro use a mixer for that or virtual soundboard
Can I use the midi ports on this device to connect my keyboard to use as a midi controller? I have an M-Audio midisport connector but it does not work anymore with Windows 10.
yes you can use the MIDI in to conect to a keybord
get rid of the aids called Windows 10. Free yourself and go back to 7 or even 8.1

Why can't I plug my beat studios into this.

How to connect my Scarlett to my hifi? Using rca outputs 1 & 2 to my rca hifi or with midi outputs to hifi rca?
I like to know also, 1 & 2 rca unbalanced outputs are L and R speakers?😊
You'd connect off the RCA, as MIDI does not send audio information, but "midi data". You can now reach me at: itsGratuiTous.com

can a 2i2 or a 2i4 power a 250 ohms headphone like the dt880?

I'm pretty happy with the 2i4 for the price point
Question: I'm currently working on a Line6 UX2. Is the Scarllet better that my Line6?
+Kleyver Requena nope!
i got a question, i dont need all the extra in/outs but does the quality change from the solo, 2i2, and 2i4?
+Lil Nine da Bully I don't think so!
mine fried within 10 minutes because I plugged my mic in when it was on, I think thats kind of sensitive, anyways im pissed
where i can conect my turntable?

No that totally makes sense! I've also spoken with a few forums after I posted the first comment. We're on the right track. Thanks, man :)
Noah McCoy Thanks for the response - great stuff! Hope it works out.
need suggestion
this or NI audio 6?
better than M AUDIO M-TRACK II ?
when you shake it does it make a sound? not like a loose-piece sounding sound, but a thumping sound?
+AceZZ BurnOut Haha nope, sounds like a solid piece of hardware on my end!
I only have a monitor(speaker) for output, I would like to connect it to de scarlett with a jack cable: my speaker is a kind of amp. The point is that I don't want to buy two speakers because I already got this amp, so even if it is only one output device, could I run it in mono? (as it is only one channel). thank you! and excuse me, I'm from Spain, so I probably messed with my english haha.
ruidos en el desván Yes u can run it in mono..it has a stereo or mono monitor setting..
can I connect a outboard compressor to this.
Ya you should be able to.. But I think the scarlett is usb powered, so you'd need a computer I think.. Sorry for not a direct answer!
+Beatstruggles Makes perfect sense, haha working very well now thanks man!
Nice man!!
hi can you please answer me whats the difference betwen a midi keyboard with audio interface and one without ... whats the role of the audiointerface now i use the usb port and theres no matter ... thank you
Ya there's no difference between using MIDI cables and USB.
Can you connect This with an ipad?
Beatstruggles can you plug subwoofer with this audio interface along with 2 monitor speakers ?
***** Yep, watch this video for info on how to set it up!:czcams.com/video/XJWKzPytw_U/video.html
Can I hook a different mic into this ?
How do you sync video with your audio ?
What about latency issues using usb?
So if I buy this, Do I just need to connect my bass guitar to the the scarlett 2i4 and then connect it to my laptop and with a recording software I can record already? Is tha correct?
Yup. That should do the trick. Focusrite now have a 2. gen. of Scarlet cards out with more headroom. You would want that for guitar and bass with active pickups. If you don't need to record vocals at the same time as the bass maybe have a look at the 2. Gen. Scarlet solo and save some cash. :)
Hope this helps.
Kya ye sound card nuondo software me support karega?
If we want two vocal and one instrument, I must using scarlett 2i2 or scarlett 2i4 ?
Can you tell me about that
+Masniardi Masniardi So that means you're wanting to record 3 tracks at once? You'd want to bump up to the next level, I think the 2i6.. But if you're recording all on separate takes you can get away with the 2i2 or 2i4 !
Can I also plug and record with my violin in 2i4?
yep, if it uses a quarter-inch jack, or you're using a mic
Any suggestions for a cheap (£ 50) mic for singing and general use but still good quality?
SM57 is about £70 but they are the best mic for the price and overall, one of the best instrumental microphones.
can I connect this to a compressor
Bro really need help!!! I brought it to attach my ipad to it and work the ipad midi track to pc like cubase. But it isn't working. I connected my ipad to it through usb to midi converter. But thats not working. What to do?
Piku Paul ipads need itrack by focusrite
Has the Focusrite 2i4 a stereo Input?
2i4 gives you switch gear to go from Stereo to Mono on the front panel.
Hey, can I have 2 mics plugged into the front 2 ports and then have a midi cable plugged in the back feeding to a midi keyboard?
I don't see why not?
+Beatstruggles Cool, so it does have the ports for it?
Hi, can this interface work with 2 pairs of speakers, like a monitor controller? Like if the switch is in 1-2 position, then only the speakers connected to outputs 1-2 have sound and in 3-4 position only the other speakers?
Máté Olajos I think it only has two outputs, not 4, so I don't think it is able to!
Beatstruggles But then what are the RCA outs for? And also the 2i4 name suggests that it has 4 outs.
Máté Olajos Hey I think you're right ! - Sorry. I guess you'd just wire up each speaker accordingly, then inside your music program you can choose what speakers get what audio.
i thought the line in for synth or keyboard on the back can do recordings on a computer?
Does the Scarlett 2i4 come with software? Will you have to buy that on your own?
Hector Franco I think it came with a watered down version of Cubase? - It'd be enough to practice with, but eventually you may want to purchase a DAW!
how do i use this as DAC only to listen music off from my PC. And in a way i can connect to an AMP, so my headphone can sound nice and powerful.?
hi there was very informative have you ever tried PreSonus AudioBox USB 2x2
+Lancy DeAlmeida I have it
Well before talking about input & outputs.can u talk lil bit more about what is audio interface & why ppls use this instead using built in computer's input & output?Because Most of the latest computer comes with the high quality input & output so why u need this between computer & mic/monitors/headphones/keyboard controller etc.And also what cable and device goes to 2 input in front & 4 output on the back.what cable xlr/trs/usb/hdmi/stereo and male or female cable? This will be complete review.
Built in sound cards are not in any way 'high quality'. The only gain controls are software dependent, they don't have phantom power, they are often slower, and they often don't allow several inputs working at the same time.
+GurktheBrutal and they have a very distorted sound in reference to the original track, better safe than sorry when recording
027300
Could I use this for using a dj controller?
i think so
How come my microphone is really quite when I plug it into my Scarlett?
If your pad button is pushed in the 2i4 will cut -10db on your mic...so make sure that's out and you are monitoring through input while talking/singing...playback for monitoring.
I need to record vocals is there any latency? Also how is the sound card Core Audio on the mac isn't enough.
+Chase “KidSynth” McWilliams What happened to your channel? Why you stop posting???
+HungryThirstyDead Hey what's up I have been super busy with work and family but, I will be posting some things soon. Check out my IG I always post there instagram.com/kidsynth/
+HungryThirstyDead Thanks for asking it's good to know someone wants to see more content!
But I want to be able to plug things in via a 1/4 lead. Why wouldn't it allow such a basic function?
you can plug in a 1/4
I know mate, silly me, didn't realise such inputs existed, thought it was just for XLR. I have literally just bought this item since I found out!
I jus bought this interface and it is worse as a sound card than the standard ASIO4all . I'm very upset that It sucks so bad . I'm gonna take it back I guess .
in the balanced 1 and 2 which one is left and whicn one is right
The LEFT is 1, the RIGHT is 2. Visit my on itsGratuiTous.com to learn FL Studio and music production now 🙂
hallo man this card good work with fl studio ? or problm ASIO
Hey *****, honestly it's a pretty solid product - but I do feel a bit pricey, and not as many inputs as others against others in its category! It does work well though!
Was this model discontinued? Would a used version of this still be a good deal?
Its a good audio interface and its discontinued because of gen 3.
Yes, it was discontinued. Focusrite has released new versions of the Scarlett series since.

Thanks for helping in the comments 🙂
Does this output the audio from my Laptop? and would that take up an input?
yes you can use it to output audio from your laptop as long as you have speakers to sent it too. also no it wont take up an input, the computer connects to a USB port on the back of the box and thats how the two devises communicate.
Can I use it as a 2.1 system. Audio out from PC, to two active speakers, and 1 sub?
if all the speakers were already linked with each other as 2.1 and only required a left and right input then yes.
However you couldn't connect all to speakers to this audio interface to get 2.1 audio. you would need a specific audio converter to do that.
Focusrite is BOSS!
:-)
RapidFire Muzik Haha, I've been pretty happy with it Robbie! - Other than lack of inputs comparing to other brands! - Overall solid audio interface though! (Halo lights look real cool too)
for REAL!!
my Pro24 doesnt have the disco lights(which im bummed about LOL)
RapidFire Muzik How do you like the Pro24 though?
I havnt used it for any Vocal recordings as yet but other then that?.. it works really well, built tuff and sturdy might i add lol
can't you just use a mixer to hook up a lot of instruments or mic's...
why do i have a lot of latency? please help
+jobert tan It's an on-going issue! Check this video out!:

Is there any alternatives to ableton? im very new at this, so i dont really know where to start. WIll i be able to record and make music, i just want to start making music.
Hey! Focusrite's site is a bit confusing, but I've been able to figure it out when I set mine up!
I personally use FL Studio to produce my music; I really like it!

Hey there, could you advise..Im wondering if i can plug my krk 8's with 10s sub into this interface and at the same time record an electro acoustic guitar using the front inputs? Any advice is appreciated!
Ts cables bro
You have your mic set to Instrument when it should be set to Line. You just said very little about the PAD. It takes you down around 10db. This you should have said to give people full info if you are giving courses and making people pay. More research on your products before you post video's. Apart from that it was a nice video.
