Remember that there are people on welfare having 5+ kids each. The idea that having kids is irresponsible if they don't have all the bells and whistles, to me, is just so foreign, as poverty was the human norm until the last 80 or so years.
What matters most is that they're brought into a household with two parents that love and support them. That's worth more than a thousand trips to Disney Land.

TYT, I have been following you guys for some time now as your videos appear in my news feed. I am very happy with your unbiased and non-partisan takes on situations in the world, and thus the reason I'll continue to tune in. This particular video, however, caught me feeling uncomfortable with your Israeli/Palestine segments for two reasons.
1) Although I agree with your stance on the Israel/Palestine crisis, because 1) I think Hamas ought to pay for what they did on October 7th and 2) I also believe that Israel should not bomb the crap out of Gaza killing innocent civilians, your tone (both Anna and Cenk) on these segments is vitriolic as displayed by the elevated tone and yelling where it seems like one or both of you will have an aneurysm on the set! I agree with your righteous anger, too, as we are talking about human lives at stake, but I'm just saying it would be better to receive the information as if you're not yelling at me. And thanks Anna, for your explanation on your own history, as to why this continues to be an emotional topic for you, and Cenk also. Admittedly, I enjoy all of your segments but when it comes to the Israel/Palestine segments, I think, "Oh boy. I'm about to see Anna and Cenk bust a vain again, going off emotionally." when I prefer to think, "Cool. Let me hear what Anna and Cenk have to say about this."
Second, I am having a challenge understanding your position on Biden or Trump as president. I realize both have their faults but this is a binary election, Trump or Biden. You may not like the lesser of two evils thought, but it is reality. In fact, we all have to make lesser of two evils decisions throughout our lives, weighing pros and cons, and I see this no differently. We don't get everything that we want. Therefore, it is very discomforting for those of us who have a high stake in Biden winning, due to believing a scary reign for America and the world with Trump in office again, when you dump on Biden as you do, because it gives the perception that Trump is a better alternative. I don't think Biden is perfect and I am not a hardcore Democrat. Labels, put away, I vote by what I am exposed to and my own analysis, and I admit that I don't have all the information, thus the reason for tuning in to shows like yours, which is valuable. But, from what I have seen by Trump for 4 year now, I do believe that getting Biden elected is a priority over how the Israel/Palestinian crisis is evolving, to be open and honest. It follows my motto of looking after my household before tending to events outside of my household.
But, in conclusion, I do enjoy your podcast and will continue to tune in as I do value your viewpoints.

I thought it was clear that they desperately want Trump back. Notice that how they force everything back to Israel; that's the most fruitful way to rile up their audience for they have always appealed to a pro islamist base. Oct 7 was a boon for TYT. As to why they want Trump back, it's complicated, but essentially, but it's partly because they are butthurt that their camp has always been irrelevant, but they also want the country to come to ruins first in order to be able to say "I told you so" and promote their extremist ideology as salvation. I'll have to agree, somewhat, of what was said on Morning Joe and here's why. A friend brought to my attention something I didn't think about concerning the youngest voters specifically. Once they begin to pay any attention to politics, the only thing they've been exposed to, is that the extreme views of Trump, is completely normal. Yes, in their mind, war is bad, that's a given. Trump holds rallies every week with thousands, falsely, in attendance. Makes Biden look lame. That's it. That's the extent of their political interests. I do not know what polls Ana is looking at but the overwhelmingly majority of polls does not have Gaza in the top 10 issues of concern for Americans, it is tragic what is going on but people are not voting on that issue, between this show and breaking points, the hosts are so out of touch with the priority of the majority of Americans.

The Israel situation isn't going to get resolved without a lot of really honest conversation (of which we're having essentially none) and a likely political/social/economic realignment, sorry to say. In exchange for Israel serving as our proxy in the Middle East, we have made ourselves beholden to them. Their problems are our problems, and America has to come face to face with being complicit in Israel's behavior, not all of which is good. These problems run decades deep. I can't get a good answer to this question: What is immoral about a people expecting/demanding self-determination?
As a father of 2 sons old enough to vote, but still very young (21 and 31), I can tell you they are not paying attention, even though I try very hard to get them engaged. Cenk and Ana are wrong on this. Pod Save America has hosts that are excellent and really intelligent. It feels to me like these two are trying to convince people to not watch the competition. I'm done with TYT.
Who's the competition? They're not wrong. If your sons are not paying attention, then they fit in the group that's not paying attention. Many of us who ARE no longer want to support Biden after his role in this slaughter. Many people will just not vote.

I told my wife, as a father and husband, I cannot bring myself to vote for any of these candidates, I cannot see babies die, whole families wiped out and the supposedly democratic party which I support as a matter of principles is playing political expediency. I worship no god that demands the killing of another human being, and i certainly will never follow no leader that bears witness to this carnage and encourage it with purposeful inactions. I love my wife, but her insistence of voting for either of these candidates, after seeing the carnage in gaza has shocked me to my core. It really shocked me.

If you look at it from a different perspective. If you don‘t give the people an adequate choice to vote for, you should not blame them, but maybe look at your own choice first. Biden is old, most likely suffers of mild cognitive disorder if not worse, supports a genocide- not simply „a war“- a GENOCIDE against the will of the majority of his constituents. Selective service has always been around. If you wanted to vote you took this test and they told you what branches and specialty you were qualified for if you chose to enlist or in a national emergency if the last resort is a draft(were invaded). It's nothing new.

While some states have laws against felons holding elected office many states do not and there is no federal law that specifically prohibits that. Felons have run for other elected offices in the past and a third party candidate ran for president from prison about 100 years ago but they typically don't win. I can't remember which state, but I recall hearing about a state-level official being elected while he was serving a prison sentence and then participating in his official duties remotely from a computer while he was still in prison.
It would certainly be embarrassing to our country if Trump was elected president while he was serving a prison sentence, and I hope that he doesn't win, but legally that's possible.
