    Great advice! I always rushed through mine and gave up doing them because of the fatigue. I liked thrusters but felt I tired too quickly to put them in my own WOD. Probably will try this this weekend!

    Rich Froning might also be taking advantage of the valsalvic maneuver (however you spell it). It's a little trick where you use your lower abdomen to push off your legs.

  • @SvenGeorgiev

    Thanks Ben, but I am confused. During the performance it looks like you breath out when the weight is at the top. Then you breathe in, create that famous inner stability, go down, go back up and breathe out again. That would make sense as it is lik the squat, etc. But when you talk you say it a bit different. Almost the same but a bit different. So what do you recomend?

    I get fatigued quickly doing snatch and cleans primarily due to the squatting motion. What is a good breathing technique to keep moving when doing snatches and cleans?

  • @kokkheongtan90

    sometime I muscle press instead of push press.... although a bit slow... but I do not get tired fast....

      Whatever works! Everyone is different, but using your legs might really help in the long run (legs are usually stronger than arms)

  • @christablair6243
    @christablair6243 Před 7 lety

    So you're not breathing when you are descending and coming back up again? Only when you're at the top of the thruster ??

  • @jjmah7
    @jjmah7 Před 8 lety

    Great tips here, but you should mention this has a lot to do with weight. If it's light, I think going all out is fine regarding speed.
