Barca was really unlucky today, but the usual suspects continued to play poorly. Barca will not win any trophy this season. The goal for the remaining games should be to train the brilliant young players. Start Yamal, Roque, Guiu, Fermin every game. They are the only hope of the next season. Plus, find a coach who knows how to assemble defense--benching kounde will go a long way toward it. When Gundogan and Pedri both are on the pitch, the MF defense is always weak. If Barca had a good defense, the game would have ended at 2:1.

I saw what I wanted to see. Yamal Ferran looked active. Lewandowski still not great. Gundogan doesn't fit, with De Jong & Pedri you NEED someone like Gavi or a Ball Winning Mid. Great focus on young talent.
Nothing major to say. Gave away a bad goal in the start, retaliated but lost to a better side. Yamal was our only direct way into their defence. Our defence needs to be cut some slack, we concede so much because we don't convert & we don't have good defensive mids/fullbacks. I reckon we win with Gavi/Cancelo

The way you were able to figure out the starting lineup is amazing, lol. If people can predict Xavi's starting 11, tactics, and where every player is positioned that's bad news. Managers surely picked on that and know who'll start and how the team plays. It's so predictable, so slow, and so disorganized.

We lost the game on tactics. Valvede rotated his players to keep the intensity and Xavi just sat there and did nothing to help the team. I can’t wait for this season to be over. It’s as if everyone watching the can see what the team needed to go on but Xavi is blind to it all. And he has the guts to blame the kids. Pedri has been swimming his way through the game and yet he stayed on the pitch. I did not see him put in one challenge in the game. Players need to play on merits and not name.

It's easier to say but when Koeman would substitute players even while we were up, then we end up losing the game. Subs don't guarantee a win. The flow is messed up when new players show up. On this same channel in those days people were arguing that you need to let teams play full 90. How will the first team ever learn to handle pressure if all they got in them is 50 mins. We're not gunning to be a top 4 team. If Barca wants to do well the quality of our players need to be better. End of story.

As strange as it sounds I do actually think the majority of our problems come down to Ter Stegens injury 🤔 our team reminds me of that liverpool side that looked so promising under Klopp but when it came to face big teams like Madrid, they lacked confidence in a true leader behind them. The second they signed Allison this changed. Iñaki Peña is by no means a bad shot stopper for his age, but his aura screams insecurity and that spreads throughout the team. I actually think that in the last few games we have been better offensively than most of last season 🤔 food for thought

We already knew the team can't defend but we didn't attack enough. Ferran was the hat trick hero last game. Today against Bilbao every time he got the ball he did something positive. And yet he got barely any service from the team for 120 min.
Only sensible comment I see here. At times I do feel Gundo is reluctant to let the ball go in the attacking third. At times when we are stretched wide let the wingers create instead of midfielders just holding onto the ball

I said it last game. Winning against Betis doesn't mean we're back. Their playing style with a lack of pressing perfectly suits us. There's a reason our only 2 good performances of the season are against Betis. Today we were back to default. This team isn't gonna change now. The season's over. We're going trophyless. I really dont understand y Xavi hasn't been sacked yet. The new coach can get these couple of months to look at our current players and then start fresh from the summer.

As soon I saw that we were going to extra time, I knew that we weren't gonna do well. I did appreciate that we fought back -- thanks to Yamine. He played so well, but as usual, we played poorly in the back. I am really, really frightened for the Champions league game with Napoli. Pedri is not a 90 minute player. I wish Xavi would stop playing this guy for such long periods. He is going to grind this boy down before he reaches his prime.
Personally, I don't think it would have been a good idea to bring Roque in the game. Putting him under sooo much pressure in a game like this would have been bad. Especially if he didn't perform. Fermin, yes -- but obviously as you said because of the rules, he couldn't come in.

Honestly xavi should resign because barca won't sack him out of respect. And we should play without a manager for the remainder of the season, atleast then we can have a solid reason to say for a poor season. He buys players but not uses them or could not bring the best out of them. Athletic were running like beasts for 120mins and we cannot run after 60-70mins. And every player is holding the ball for 10-15 seconds before passing on. It's completely killing the game. No opponent is afraid of barca anymore. They know our starting line up if there is no surprise injuries. No player will come to barca if this continues. Many players might leave this season if xavi continues as coach.

Yeah as much as barca needs a player with technical quality, we need players who have actual pace. We can't cope up with real madrid (vini, rodrigo, valverde, camavinga), athletic (iniaki, nico), bayern (sane, gnabry, muller, musiala). As a mere fan who is not eligible enough to speak about training and technicality can say that we can't handle intensity and pace. Barca DNA and Pep era was successful not only because of tiki taka but with quick passes and pace but today barca has only tiki taka but very slow after the opponents has parked the bus. Even I know barca won't attack unless every player of barca touches the ball once then how it's gonna surprise the opponents who actually know technicality and have football knowledge?

Eversince Xavi becomes a Manager, Barca likes buying players, but they are losing too much. What's the use of buying a player knowing he was always on the starting line and you just want to bench him.
I realize that this obviously wasn't the outcome we wanted but honestly, the level of performance isn't anything to be ashamed of. We were inches from another 4-2 win where our player scores a hattrick and compared to our last match against Bilbao, we were the better side for 90 minutes. So again it's not what we expected and it's not an excuse for elimination but in as far as performance goes I'd say we've carried on the momentum from the Betis game and hopefully that can carry on to Villarreal. We now really need to work on this habit of conceding within the first 60 seconds of the game, it's a very worry trait that needs immediate fixing.
Honestly, I've had enough. Xavi out. I said to myself before the betis game that if we fail to win any of our next 3 games I would no longer support Xavi. I honestly feel like sacking xavi is the worst possible decision since no other coach would know what to do with the current situation. The Barca athletic coach isn’t any better and any other coach wouldn’t bring the “Barca style” everyone wants to see at this club. Our season got shaken up at the very beginning of the season when the injuries first hit us and we haven’t been able to recover. It’s not on Xavi every time when any of our players make mistakes.

Athletic Bilbao deserved to win the game, they were fearless and look at the number of shots they had compared to us.
It’s not always Xavi’s fault, the players were literally not trying going into the extra time.
However there were some positives from the game to see Hector Fort and he has so much composure.

It's alright. We don't have to worry about trophies this season. This is a very young squad and it needs to develop. Given the financial situation, these young players are our best bet. So it will not be wise to put a lot of pressure on them. Qualifying for UCL and getting to atleast the Quarter finals this season will be a good enough season.
Also, STOP asking for Xavi to be sacked. There is no point in sacking him. There is no manager right now who can turn this team around in 6 months.

Other teams mount intense pressure when they are losing the game but our team sluggishly pass the ball from keeper to player and if possible back, they play like they are comfortably like they are 2 or 3 goals up against their opponent. This just proves that Xavi isn’t the coach we need now. He’s taken the squad as far as it can go and we need someone new with experience that’s actually won trophies. Also we need better players and depth in the bench. Players keep getting injured and we have no one to fill in those spots but sadly we are broke so it’s gonna take time for us to get it together. The season has just been embarrassing. You would think after we won the league last season we would have a better playing squad but we don’t. Although we did win the league because Real & Atletico did not have such a great season. We’re just getting exposed now since both teams are doing good and that’s why we are in this position.
There are 2 trophies left to fight for - the league (laliga) and the Champions League. With the seeming continued lacklustre performance from our boys, I do not foresee FCB winning any of these trophies meaning that it will be a trophyless season.
