  • Tucker and Mr. Jeff from MACkite discussed the differences between the F-One Strike V4 Wing and the F-One Swing V4 Wing for 2024. They noted that the Strike V4 has improved in high wind performance, making it ideal for riders who prefer speed and higher wind ranges, maintaining good upwind capability and stability when overpowered. On the other hand, the Swing V4 offers better low-end power, making it easier to lift and more suitable for lighter winds. The Swing is also better for wave riding due to its stability and ability to flag out effectively.
Additionally, they highlighted changes in the handles of the wings. The new models feature replaceable handles with options for soft, semi-rigid, and hard handles, allowing customization based on the rider's preference and conditions. The hard handles provide a more ergonomic grip, which is beneficial in high-power riding scenarios. Overall, both wings have their unique advantages, catering to different styles and preferences in wind conditions and riding style.

Very happy with the material f-one has been using. My v3 strike canopy is still performing excellent after 900 hours of ride time! The new swing has superior flagging stability for wave riding. The new f-one wings seem very in tune with the foil. Wing to foil connection is superb.

    Where does origin fit in?

Hi Tucker, thanks for Your great review. I am a heavier Rider (95 kg) from Europe. I tested the Strike V4 5.0. Great wing in high winds! But I think you are right, it's designed for lighter riders. Is the Swing better suited?Which alternative would you recommend.

  • @Wingsurf

Nice! Where is north nova pro review? With animal sound! đŸ€™đŸŒ

Thank you for review. A bit surprise on comparing just wind wise of those two wings. What about the wave type of riding, supposedly Swing should be more stable here etc. As of only conclusion now is that Swing has less high end.

  • @fishcakes2

Maybe it’s just me being used to the strike v3 but I find that has more low end power than the v4 with the right pumping , I can’t seem to generate power from pumping with the v4 it’s just either full of power or not.

I' ve got Strike V2 in 4.5 and 5.5. Which size Strike V4 would you choose to go in between these two? I want minimal overlap with both of them.

  • @matiasbessi3386

So, to replace a Strike v2, 5,5mts, for easy pumping, lifting and light wind, the swing v4 5,5 should be a great choise, right? Thanks for the video.

  • @lewiss66

You did'nt talk much about the Swing V4 vs V3. How do they stack up in the low end if you take the 5.5m2 for instance as far as handling take off , pumping, power, what mini knots to ride it... Thanks for the video

  • @davewalker3811

Any chance we are going to get an 8m show down with the Strike CWC, Duotone Ventis, Vision and the Reedin Supernatural SSD in the mix?

Hi Tucker, how would you compare Strike V4 to Flux /grunt and speed/

  • @bille6596

    Recently got a 6M strike v2

  • @edmlemay

Tucker, you mentioned being a heavy rider, using wing to the max of the wind range.... Im 225lb I use my 8m CWC V2 until 15-18kts then 6m CWC V2 until 20-22kt, then I have a 2022 mantis 5m for stronger. I'm not wave riding yet! But very soon. I'm looking to buy a new wing to replace the 5m mantis. 5m strike V4??? Other suggestions?

  • @FoilPatrol

I'm a bit disappointed that F-one hasn't learned from last year's mistakes. They lost a lot of clientele because of the confusion with the Strike and the late launch of the Swing V3. I sold 3 Strikes right after picking them up and went with Ozone, Ocean Rodeo and North which also had a longer lasting build quality, Especially the Ocean Rodeo Glide AA.
