    So do boards dictate what's animated? I thought the overhead had more control such as things you mentioned with working the camera angles more or the young boy acting more, or Miss Mona appearing more. I thought overhead told you okay by okay what to sketch and they would add that as notes.

    • @mewTripled
      @mewTripled  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi there! By overhead do you mean director? As a board artist you do the majority of what will dictate the animation, but a director will come back in and help direct the vision of the board closer to what the show runner intended. Small things like camera angles, acting, character appearances, usually are still mainly decided by the board artist, but the director is still able to come back in and suggest those ideas as well. Every project is also different so this may not apply to every project out there, as some may not give board artists as much freedom unfortunately.

    about ur critic of the little boy not moving enough, I agree and I think if he stood up right after the truck was settled in the sky Santa would be focused on the reindeers then he looks at the kid and puts his hand on the kid’s head then squish him a bit so he would sit down while Santa is laughing, like that the kid would move and there would be more interaction between him and Santa and u can show a kid standing on a moving truck with out trouble......I think

    Do u need the studio’s permission to post ur storyboards on social media? Cuz i see many artists sharing their concept arts and sketches that they did for movies and shows, but been always wondering if it was “legal” or its just the studios dont really care specially after the project is out
