ahahahahahahah u right dude!!!!!,,,I can already see the title of eta prime future video "hands-on on the cheap yet fastest mini pc on the market right now", it will cost 500/600 punches in few years.
You actually believe society will still be around?

lol the ending ,you said let me know if we want to see any games tested running on this build ,is first time ever than i 100% SURE KNOW it can run world of warcraft classic at max settings with ease with no more test need it ,This is a dream mini pc 20 cores 28 threads vs my 2 core 4 thread i3 8130u lenovo ideapad but i can still play world of warcraft even after using it for almost 6 years since i got it new .Thank you making this video i am happy and grateful to live in this tech age when even 2 cores are strong and we can see thanks to you how 20 core will be in gaming i am aware i could never aford it to test it but i am more than happy to see video test done with it Thank You so much for making games part of tests it makes my day
The 4070 in this machine is on average 55% slower that the full deaktop 4070.
who cares🤦🏽♂️💀it will run all the games just as so well that's the point You realize that that's not even it's highest spec right?
I have an RTX 4060 laptop that's able to run all my games at max graphics💀
omg its not that worth then...
@@itzdcx7991 I'm not sure if this information is 100% accurate, but I believe it. How would it be "Just as good" if it's over 1/2 the performance. Counterintuitive...
No shit bro
It is faster than the 4060 desktop card, about on par with the 4060 ti desktop version. I have an Acer that runs one and it is impressive, but my 4070 desktop walks all over it.
Man, this is a powerful video editing machine!!!
wasn't here for quite some time. is ETA now some sort of high level advertisement channel?
He is for a while now.
It is. no way benchmarking everything with frame gen on without native being showed lmao. no one does that
For long time, this channel is a waste of time lately
He's got bills to pay, no different than the rest of us. I'm actually shopping for a mini as a secondary rig for my office and ETA was the first place I thought to hit. THIS though? This would be great at $5-600 with a 4060, 4070 and $800 is a fkn joke when you consider the budget of people living in places that force them into mini PCs

Finally a competitor to NUC Enthusiast that actually looks nice instead of being overly gamer looking. A cooling and noise comparison with Scorpion Canyon when that comes out would be nice.
PS3 & Xbox/Xbox 360 emulators on this device would be awesome ETA Prime.
You can emulate those on a Legion Go and just get an eGPU for modern titles.
Esta es una buena idea.
I think the big laptop manufacturers would sell a fair few of these if they actually bothered making them, it would great if you could buy something like this a bit cheaper than the equivalent laptop.
Exactly. But they are stiff minded folks with short sight.
Wow! 2500 bucks! What a deal!
And that price is without Tax,

Love the form factor though ❤
Interesting concept. Great for travels… can work as well as game, as long as we have access to the monitor though. I like the way these things are going. In a few years, we’ll have cheaper, more powerful units with the right competition.
Your description is wrong and could potentially be misleading for some folks. These are mobile components.
Question about your Vip-urcd key, the Office 2019 is at $51 with your code, and Office 2021 is at $97. Any thoughts on getting the price you listed? Thank you!
At first it looks really cool and innovative, but then I saw the price...You've got to be kidding me LOL
Wow! Yo, legit, that's pretty badass! Thanks for the review and upload.
I wish laptop manufacturers would use this approach to transplant motherboards in this sort of case. Coupled with bigger/silent fans and the power supply inside a nice simple case and you have a clean, minimalistic gaming rig, ideal for occasional gamers. This should also come at half of the price of a laptop
I must say though in reference to the amount of connections, is that being this is larger than your average Mini PC it really should have more than it has especially since it has a dedicated gpu that can have its own connections. Just as soon as you see something promising, they show you where they cut corners.
Maybe this will be my new 'laptop' for coffee shop workstation
Glad to see someone provide real-world numbers for the mobile 4000 series. Seems to be a lot of mixed opinions out there about whether having only 8GB VRAM is enough for 1440p. Wanna know for sure, though, if I’m gonna plunk down $2K+ on a Magnus One or ROG NUC (if they can ever get any in stock in the US).
This is what I need for the RV, a stronger movie server / gaming system. A full desktop is just too big (and sometimes too hot) and this I can put where it can get good airflow but hidden away. Right now I'm using a Ryzen 9 mini-pc and it works good but sucks at a lot of games at 1080p. I don't game a lot on trip but sometimes when we stop somewhere along the way or at night since everyone else goes to bed early. I love my steamdeck but it doesn't handle some of the games I play, especially higher than 720p. A laptop is just too big and bulky in the RV. On the couch with my keyboard or a gamepad on the TV already in the wall works perfect.
I agree. The power button should have been on the opposite side since people will likely have this sitting in an entertainment center next to their apple TV or whatever else. This has dedicated Steam console written all over it.
Could you open it up and show us the cooling and heatsinks?
What happened with I/O placement? ethernet and power on opposite sides? Power button in the back? Contoured back, square front?
Its better than xbox series x? Its like 4x the price💀
He was referring the size, not the price.

Now this is a mini PC I can get excited about...finally.
Same. A lot of comments here are pointing out the obvious that it's using LP versions of the hardware, which makes sense since it's sooooo condensed, but this is exactly what I was hoping for forever. Make consoles extinct and just make awesome mini pcs now that the hardware is strong enough!
Hello can you show bios settings and maybe run proxmox on this device?
looking for a some mini server-game station PC but not sure that it will work fine on this device
Great video 👍
150 avg watts (223 peak) is . . . dunno how I feel about that.
Kindest regards, neighbours and friends.
The 4070 mobile does not gain anything if pushed past 105w...absolutely nothing but you can cook on it at 115w lol
I like to sear my steaks on mine
That's what I was thinking when I heard him say it was unfortunate he couldn't manage to get more wattage into it. Having seen a lot of laptop reviews, the 4070/60 & 50 variants gain nothing once you go past that 90-105w range. Just the 4080 & 90 variants that can take advantage of higher wattage being fed into them.
What I would like to see in these minipcs is super cards and 7800 XT desktop variants.
Hello from Greensboro! In the market for a mini PC to game The Division 2 on with my son, as he is heading to ECU this fall. I'd love to hear your suggestion on which mini PC might be best!
I love your reviews.
Wish it had two HDMI - or just used DisplayPort so that we can chain displays. Granted you can probably still hook an HDMI to the Thunderbolt/USB3 port, but still. My primary use for a mini-PC is that when travelling I can take 2 portable monitors + a real mouse and keyboard and have a setup a little more like what I'd have at home.
This is basically a laptop without a fixed screen.
I was thinking the same thing that another person mentioned: I'll definitely buy this PC in 4 or 5 years for way less money haha. It's just not worth the cash right now unless you have a specific need for a tiny, full-fledged gaming PC and money doesn't matter. I'll stick with my Beelink's for now, and my giant gaming rig that I can easily upgrade.
I understand saving space but i'd gladly take a larger console so all i/o is on the back. And to use larger heatsinks and fans to quiet it down.
Nice video, but those titles though... Why not - Super fast console size RTX 4070 Mini. First look
First off love this channel over the years also what is the expected retail price of this unit, did I miss that somewhere ? I expect that it`s gonna be expensive for what it is. OK then this is what I think and I`ve built a bunch of compact PC based gaming devices plus Arcade and Virtual Pinball machines as well that can house my customised gaming Retro FE based system build software, well I don`t think that this will be worth it for me at all and I knew that it`s GPU was just gonna be an 8GB 4060 in reality . Now recently I`ve put together 2 custom small gaming builds that are a better bang for the buck in my eyes one of them is not as good as this but still really useful and the other one is better than this and I would pick either of those options again over this methinks
The `Lesser` build which will be much cheaper than this and is a mini PC that has a Ryzen 7 5800H CPU/APU which is basically the same as the Beelink SER 6 although I bought the Trigkey branded one cos it was better value
The `Better one is larger than this and is based inside a 7 litre SIlverstone case that is no bigger than a console. It rocks the new RTX 4060 8GB half height GPU which I expect performs the same as this. However it`s better than this overall cos it`s sfx PSU is inside and you can even fit an Nvme and 4 more regular SSDs inside too if you need too and the ram/cpu is fully customizable to your needs of course on an itx mobo inside ........... the I/O ports are more expanded as well plus you can still easily fit it inside a backpack too if you need too. Now it wasn`t cheap to make that but I bet that it`s still better value for what you can get/do with it ................ and most importantly it can always be repaired or parts replaced over the years should you need that unlike the item featured here.
So that`s my `2 cents worth` from a practical real world point of view methinks .............. and keep up the good work, great channel.
UPDATE : did I just see someone mention 2,500 bucks for this ! ! ............ that`s easily double what my `Better build` cost to put together, which wasn`t very hard from the hardware point of view, and it`s a much better option than this in the long run too ! ................... YE GODS !
Nice, they're reusing the old Steam Box shell for a case.
The price alone is the factor of who bus this and who dont!
What game were you playing at the very beginning?
I've been wanting to replaced my old Lenovo laptop with something like this.
it cost 1200 dollars, idk if it worth!!!!
I think in the long run it will be more advantageous to use a miniPC that can be connected to an eGPU. You'll be able to replace components, unlike the device the author showed in the video.
@@GiacomBonocould have been worth it with 32 gb ram 6400 mhz and rtx 4070 12gb vram.
@@hiroshihasegawa2468 exactly, but for form factor its lovely!!!
Dude, it's just an RTX 4070 laptop without the screen, touchpad and keyboard. Just buy a laptop and plug it into the monitor.
Hey ETA, I can see you've mentioned that you used DLSS Quality for Helldivers 2.. just wanted to check on this because, as far as I know the game doesn't support DLSS, just basic upscaling. You might want to double check on this.
ya I was confused when he said DLSS.
I didn't catch a price (I often fast forward some parts) but I guess this is easily in the price range of 1200-1500 right??
still not convinced to replace my dream come true rog ally with this.
Hey look, it’s a laptop w/ no screen for an exorbitant price. Mobile 4070 performance is less than half of the real version.
so 4070 laptop it's basically 4060ti desktop, they even have same specifications
it's funny because the almost seemingly random arrangement of the ports is explained if you think of the board as a laptop board... I could make a good assumption that it's literally a laptop board from an OEM and they just put it in a "console" case. Could be a recycled board, or just excess manufactured boards? Either way, the price does not reflect the idea that this isn't exactly something they designed from the ground up... The case, sure... But not the internals.
Less than half of the desktop???? It sounds a lot.
End of this year, we can buy the new AMD-Strix Halo APU MiniPC with 16 CPU-Cores and a GPU-Performance like a Desktop RTX4070.
@@avancult nope, it's slower than a desktop 4060ti.
It''s not odd how it's setup if you look at it as a laptop motherboard stuffed in a case.. they typically have IO on right and left side. I'm sure that's what this is, also explains the limited IO.
Love the size just need a 7800x3d and 4090 in it, got to minecraft at 4k 120hz
if they made the GPU upgradable, this would have been nice. How much is this going to cost?
What if we took a $1700 laptop, removed the screen, battery, keyboard, speakers, and sold it to you as a portable gaming desktop for $2500.
GENIUS
I would appreciate a video of the BIOS interaction, given that this uses a Big.Little architecture, and some games (like CS2 for example) runs choppy with the efficiency cores active. Just show us the ability to disable the weak cores, since this is a gaming-centric platform and they do cause issues with some games.
Please try and run Helldivers 2 on it - 1080p high settings and 1440p medium settings
Cool, need to water cool this to get as quiet as possible.
The Ethernet port on the front shows the manufacturer doesn’t really care.
I’ll wait for the ROG NUC!
What aorus ssd was that? The 7300 or the 5000?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't a 4070 gaming laptop be a better deal and have more convenience?
notebook motherboard in kinda-desktop enclosure explains everything odd about this thing, including ethernet port on front, which seems like to be left side of a notebook)
creepy vents and ports design. i wish vent mesh on top and all ports on one side
Hey great video but no emulation ?
Whats the point of that amazon link ? XD I'll just wait for the 4070 minisforum
What are you using to get the FPS and other information it doesn't look like afterburner to me, But please let me know I like this better than what afterburner looks like.
you can customize the afterburner to look how you want, there are even presets on the internet that you can download and apply
Hmmm, wonder if well see a pc tablet equivalent to this in a couple years
How does this compare to the 12900h and 16GB 3080 mini pc?

Hye what this device called ? I mean what is the actuall name of this brand and kindly mentioned website plz thank you ❤
How would this fair running Elden Ring? Looking for something that’s not huge.
That fallout 4 performance is kinda wild, I'm very close to maxxed out on my steam deck and rog ally and i get very close to that performance. You'd think the 4070 would be driving that game well over 100fps. Granted, you do not want to be above 60fps in that game because the physics break...
We need Valve to release something like this heavily subsidized, with Steam OS, and able to stream to the Deck with suspend/resume.
please open these things up, I want to see at a glance what's on the device
what's the max TB for the ssd? 4 TB or 8 TB?
Where do we buy?
Hello can you review Z01 wireless controller its small and has a 6 axis im search on youtube for a review but i didn't find a decent one.
In your opinion with a beast like this, are you able to emulate everythng is now available, also the systems that requires a dedicated GPU even this one is a mobile variant ? I'd love to have one unique system for PC gaming and all the emulation consoles/mame without building up a freak with a 4090. Thanks ;)
This is 4070 laptop gpu, its far from being a beast. Its the worst in term of price2perf for rtx4000 mobile series.
If you want something compact, small form factor and room for gpu upgrades then rog flow series is your best options. Tho it wont be cheap
@@initialds4903Thanks for the advice.
Remember this is a mobil gpu and cpu, meaning while it is smaller and compact, and has less power draw, it is also not as powerful. This is laptop components without a screen.

Why cant minisforum make more like this (other than the Neptune series) with a built in RTX GPU.
What’s the expected price?
I would like to see "Dragons Dogma 2" and "Gray Zone Warfare" on this 😉
Yea nice to see it on here even if it ain’t no way I’m paying this much for it lol
I’m curious how the rog nuc will perform
I don't really understand why more PC's like this aren't made. The size is not surprising because it doesn't need the battery or shaped like a laptop. An existing laptop motherboard can be reworked with all the same components in a different shape. Seems like an easy design and sell to me. Although it really needs more IO as mentioned in the video.
I think it's because of the demand of the market, mini PC is emerging in the recent years, but I think not many people actually need a super compact PC build, especially after considering the price, the limited performance and the components availability compare to the full-sized desktop
@@toanbui6354 That's a good point. It is a bit of a niche market.

The way the ports are positioned makes this a laptop board stuffed into a makeshift Mini PC case. I dont like the port positions as the wires just stick out the side wich is strange and awkward
you might be able to flash another mobile 4070's vbios to it with a higher tdp to get more performance. disclaimer if you intend on doing that it can brick your system and even if it works the vbios also seems to have access to how the ports with display out work. so you would need to experiment
Don’t forget to save the original bios

Where is the price mentioned?
damn, this is pretty good
Price is outrageous, might as well just get a equivalent laptop for that price and get a keyboard/screen and more I/O.
Yeah, it's faster than my current HTPC, which is a standard ATX case. So this is nicer, but that I/O is a weird layout for a tv pc. And for me personally. I haven't really hit the wall yet on my HTPC. it has a 3070. While the form factore is better. I'm just not ready to upgrade.
ity just 4070m not desktop class

I'd buy this if I could upgrade to 64gb and if it had more vram. This portability would be great but those low specs are crippling for my Stable Diffusion work.

Fallout 4 fps is tied to most of its game functions. gravity etc , so it doesn't like going over 80 fps, if you unlock it, you'll move fast and various other things.
My specs 4070ti, i7 13700f, I can get 144fps ( fps cap) and the game just brakes.
Interesting video though similar results to my full desktop
I see 130-144 ( fps cap) on average in Horizon forbidden west. Considering that's 30 fps less but additionally -90% of the size is pretty impressive.
